DITCHIn' u, gruntie
@mod!
BY MINNIE OF GS
don't look into my eyes,
Lamia would never believe that she was not the every epitome of respect and obligation, of duty and excellence. But she would never find it in herself to respect an equal- equals were competition, and annoyingly so. It wasn't that she thought of them as competition to her standing (god knows, she only joined Aqua because Rory wanted it) but rather because they thought of themselves as competition. How arrogant.
Aqua existed as a part of her life, as a part of "Sin's" life because of her curiosity to find out the truth behind legendaries. She wasn't taking annoying crap from a grunt of a syndicate because they were partnered up of all reasons. That was bullshit- she had no partners.
And definitely not one that was blabbering his ass off like the male walking beside her. He finally ended whatever he said and she sighed for what felt like one too many times for a single afternoon. She stopped in her tracks, waited for the grunt to realize she wasn't following, and finally spoke.
"You are incomprehensibly annoying, irrational, and very incompetent," she began, voice a breathless huff and the aura surrounding her indifferent. "I very much doubt your career will go on past this point, and I do not want to dragged down by a fool who does not know what he is doing."
She paused and removed a pokeball from her belt. She had only started pokemon training, but she had to be better than this idiot. "Therefore, I am eliminating you here. Either stand aside, or prove your worth."
the girl wasn't talking much, but that's alright. he could talk to himself all day. he was the big shot, and she was just his sidekick. he led her towards the patrol, but then she sudenly stopped. hey, whats the big deal?
so rude. chris turns around with a smirk. "well if you want a battle, you'll get one." he says. he takes out his two pokemon, totodile jumping forward. "how 'bout a water gun."
with a burst of energy totodile leaps forward and water guns the girl. it would hit her if she didn't do something.
Even now he was being foolish- Lamia could hardly stand his incompetence. It was alright, though, she was going to have an orderly battle if it could be helped. She saw the pokemon be sent out, and just as she was about to respond with her own, it launched a water gun at her. Gritting her teeth, she threw her own pokeball and just as quick, a shellder materialized in front of her, its shell used as a shield as the water bounced off it almost harmlessly. Symbia fell to the ground after the attack, but then quickly got up and faced the enemy with her tongue sticking out.
"You have no manners, either. Or any civil qualities. What distinguishes you from the mutt you hold at your side, I wonder?"
She droned on disdainfully, annoyed with the way the man before her was acting. Symbia let out a howl, and then the rocks on the ground lifted up, going straight for the enemy's pokemon in a rock smash attack. Finally, towards the end of the barrage of rocks, the Shellder itself launched into a spinning shell and attempted to slam itself against the water-type by using tackle.
Lamia glared at Chris, letting her pokemon do as it pleased. At least she had a better hold on her subordinates.
"wha?" the grunt says, confused. she needed to speak slower! or, at least explain to him in layman's terms! what a bitch. this just meant that he needed to beat her in even more.
"heh, huntail, go beat them up too!" he points at them. totodile goes to scratch at the pokemon while huntail summons a whirlpool at it.
She rolled her eyes at his lack of understanding- how was she even exoecting anything better froms omething like him? Leave it to Rory to chose useless underlings instead of poised ones. A pack of donkeys led by a lion, that was what this was. And magma was a pack of lions led by a donkey. She sighed, deciding to speak very carefully so as the man would surely hear her. Maybe even understand her, if she was lucky.
"Is your grasp on the english language as weak as your grasp on pokemon battling?"
Another pokemon appeared and Lamia was futher annoyed. Her own pokeball went up in the air to meet his, letting out a Purrlion to meet his huntail. "Focus on one target," she instructed idly. Pokemon battling was as tedious as it seemed to be- she'd have preferred her laboratory any day. The shellder dodged around the large whirpool that formed around him, and was hit again by a water fun- not like that did so much damage. It then summoned its rocks again to attack the huntail this time. The cat waited and watched for its turn to come, and even went as far as to lick her paws when the shellder lifted more rocks at the Huntail.
"hey, i battle just fine, alright!" he yells. she was seriously getting on his nerves. she throws another pokeball, getting a purrloin out. it doesn't even do anything! he flinches as huntail's even hit with more rocks.
"d-do it again!" he says, with full intention of repeating the attacks.
Sigh, the tactic was getting repetitve. But that was okay. Two pokemon agains two pokemon she could win if she played her cards right. "Epsilon, take the attacks. Symbia, keep at it." The words were met with swift action- Lamia should have felt proud of the obedience of her pokemon, but she hardly cared. Victory was what was important, what always would be important. She would not rest until Chris had fallen, and fallen so badly he could not get up. She would be relentless.
The purrloin jumped infront of the watergun, blocked the attack for the Shellder, and then just as quickly fell into a whirlpool to suffer for a while. That was alright. Rock smash was a move of chance- it there were enough rocks, say, if five rocks hit the huntail each time Symbia used the attack, the huntail would just as easily. The shellder kept at it, lifting rocks and throwing them, lifting rocks and throwing them.
Lamia watched. "That fact that you stuttered determined that was a lie," she stated blandly. "You're afraid of loss, so you will never be able to grasp victory."
She took a step forward, as if to claim her triumph.
"y-you bitch!" he says as his pokemon are both taken out. they're too good, he can't get past it. the pokemon are useless. he returns them both and takes one, throwing the huntail at lamia. she can keep it, for all he cares. he's going back to the base. he turns tail and runs in the opposite direction. whatever.
huntail and totodile fainted ! lamia has 2 levels to distribute lamia receives huntail !
She smiles as the overpowering intoxication of victory swells around her- she's won, and she's damn proud of it. The grunt shouts at her, a little show of fear that puts shoves her further down the road of sadism as her grin widens to cheshire-levels. "Goodbye, and please don't think of coming back," she says, watching in glee as the man runs with his tail between his legs. After he is gone, she picks up the pokeball he carelessly dropped and adds it to her bag.
It's so obvious that even any sensible pokemon would want to join her side instead of his, and Lamia doesn't doubt that the pokemon behind this ball will prefer her company over a brainless fool's. Her pokemon are injured, and almost on the verge of fainting. She needs to get to a pokemon center ASAP. She puts Symbia back inside her ball, and Epsilon soon follows. Lamia rushes hurriedly towards Odale town, in hopes that she'll find some good refuge for the night.
That damnable Rory, forcing her to go on a pokemon journey like this.
