▶I will - Burn my dread
I once ran away from the god of fear
And he chained me to despair
"Mm, looks like we're lost, huh, Eva?" The breeder glanced down at her Pokemon, giving her a giggle. The Snorunt gave a joyful squeak, as it hopped from one foot to the other, waving her stubby "arms," not understand the issue at hand. Nora glanced at the map, her smile fading, as she turned the map sideways and upside down, biting her lip. Damn, she never was good at figuring out directions, especially with a map like this... It would take her forever now to get to Odale town. The worst part of this all was that this was only the first route out here; if this gave her trouble, who was to say she would actually be able to continue this journey?
And it wasn't like her Pokemon was being any help... Nora gazed at Eva with a mixture of amusement and disappointment. The ice type seemed to be naive enough to not understand that the two might not make it back for another day or so... "So...how about we go...that-a way!" She finally said, gesturing towards the right, trying to sound like she actually knew what she was doing. After all, a breeder had to have some idea in what she was doing; she had to both breed the perfect Pokemon and obtain all the badges - this job was way better than any other class.
Obviously.
Notes: this is really just a ramble post... i hope that it's ok for the person jumping in... u.u;;

Her Munchlax happily swallowed down an entire bag of Pokemon treats as the two made their trek through Route 101. She wanted to give him a little time to get used to traveling before the two of them set out. But it seemed as if what she'd have to worry about more were the contents of her wallet. With a heavy sigh, she patted his head rubbing her fingers through his fur as he gave a peaceful smile. She hadn't been in Littleroot for very long so she couldn't say that she would miss the people or the terrain. But this was where Munchlax had been born and more than likely where he lived his entire life, leaving could be a rather tearful experience. Though the Pokemon seemed much happier with her by his side and he showed it to her nearly every day of their partnership.
A rather strange squeaking noise and a flustered voice caught her attention and Castiel glanced up to notice a girl standing in their path was looking at a map in distress. Did she not know her way around? Her Pokemon was flailing its arms and looking as if it was worried about their surroundings. Noted considering that there was nothing but grass and there were wild pokemon lurking about. Anyone caught unsuspecting could be drawn into a Pokemon battle without notice. She felt an odd need to help them especially because her Munchlax had wandered over and taken to peeking inside of the girl's bag.
Damn it.
"Munchlax, come back."
She didn't bother to yell after him. He was only doing what was in his nature. But as soon as she got close, she drug him behind her using her hand along the curve of his head.
Nora started, letting out a small yelp of surprise. Granted, she hadn't believed that anyone would be out here so early in the morning; she had tried to get a head start on this adventuring. Professor Birch hadn't seemed to be so happy to be woken up this early. Though that was all worth it, you needed to crack a few Exeggcutes to make an omelet, after all! She crumpled the map up and hid it behind her back, laughing weakly, as she rubbed the back of her neck at the other girl's offer. "Ah...um, to be honest, a little bit," she admitted, rather hesitantly. "I was thinking that I would be able to figure my way around this part, especially since it's the first route. Though I guess I underestimated my ability to navigate." The breeder scratched her cheek, as she spoke, a small blush appearing on her cheek.
The Snorunt, oblivious to everything, watched the Munchlax, before waddling up to him. What an odd creature... Eva stared up at the normal type with wide eyes, before letting out a delighted squeak, twirling around him, waving her stubby arms in the air, a steady stream of snowflakes shooting out of her arms. Oh, a friend, a friend! This was a great day! First she got out of the stuffy ol' lab with this lady and now there was a new Pokemon! In her excitement, a small lump of snow started to pile up around the Pokemon's feet.
"Eva-" Nora scooped the ice Pokemon in her arms, wincing as the Snorunt continued to create snowflakes, shuddering as the snowflakes made goosebumps rise up. "I'm sorry- I just received her today. She isn't well trained... Can't exactly get her to listen to me..." She said, giving Castiel a weak smile, as she tried to explain her Pokemon's behavior.

Watching as the Snorunt raced around her Munchlax, Castiel couldn't help but smile. She remembered all of those days ago when her Munchlax did the same. As he was excited at every new friend that he could meet and wanting nothing more than to play with them. She could remember the confusion that laid on his face as he was made to attack Numel, a Pokemon that he came to call friend but soon turned to a slight enemy. She sighed softly and folded her arms over her chest before glancing towards the path that she came and the way that she had been planning to go. If this person was trying to reach Oldale, she'd have to go the way that Castiel had come but that would be a bit difficult if her Pokemon wasn't listening. They could be attacked.
"Well, I know the way. And don't worry about your Pokemon, she is a sweetheart."
She gave a glance to her Munchlax who was currently catching the snowflakes that fell on his tongue. He gave her a cheerful grin and Castiel huffed before lifting him in her arms. He was surprisingly rather heavy for a baby Pokemon, but she often used him as a weight when training so she grew accustomed to him. Bringing him close so that he could get a better look at the Snorunt, he gave the other Pokemon a grin and began to flail his arms about.
"Munch! Munch! Munchlax!"
That may have been his way of asking to be friends and she found it absolutely adorable.
"Why don't we accompany you? These two seem to want to be friends."
Nora giggled, hugging her Pokemon closer to her chest. "Mm, I'm happy you think so!" There was obvious pride in her expression, as she glanced down at her Snorunt, who squirmed and gave a small squeak of surprise from the sudden affection. "Your Pokemon is adorable, I've always wanted to see a Munchlax before... None of the trainers ever brought one to us to breed, back at home." There was a wistful look as she gazed at the normal type. It was kind of funny, now that she thought about it; showing off each other's Pokemon reminded Nora of talking with her friends and showing each other the newest doll they had received. Pokemon are like dolls, except they can control the earth itself... She chuckled at this thought. Perhaps going out on this journey was a good idea; it brought back so many memories...
As the two talked with one another, Eva squirmed again, trying to get out of the lady's grasp. Though she stopped at the Munchlax's question, brightening almost immediately. She squealed, waving her "arms" in the air, agreeing almost immediately with the proposition. Oh yes, yes! A new friend! Someone who she connected with, this was fabulous!
Nora struggled with Eva, almost dropping her in the Snorunt's attempt to escape. When she finally gained a control over her, Nora pushed hair away from her eyes, giving Castiel a large smile. "That would be amazing! I'm not the best as directions, even if it is the first route-" Here, she gave a small laugh, before continuing, "and I'll go insane if I have to be around here for too long." She was quiet for a moment, before she gave an embarrassed chuckle. "Oh, how rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Aurora Samson, though people call me Nora. It's nice to meet you!"

Her Munchlax was rather excited, he flailed his little arms about and made active talk with the other Pokemon. Eventually he began to grow restless and struggled to get out of Castiel's arms. She knelt down to let him plant his feet to the ground and take off running before waving back at the Snorunt.
"Lax! Munchlax!"
Maybe that was his way of telling her to come on. Castiel sighed and called out to him. He jumped to attention at her voice and she chuckled. Ever since the two of them came into contact with one another, it had been like this. He was quick to follow her commands and rather happy to do so as well. But she merely told him not to go too far and he nodded before chasing after a butterfly that had come in their vicinity. She didn't bother to keep that much of an eye on him, if anything happened then he would have told her.
"How rude of me, I'm Castiel Leingod. He is Andi. It is a pleasure to meet you, Aurora."
She gave her a slight bow before catching herself and straightening up. There were times where she forgot that she didn't have to play by the formalities anymore. Although it was rather hard.
"I'm taking it that you're a breeder. That must be wonderful."
She couldn't imagine being a breeder, having taken to being a trainer with the utmost care and responsibility. But from looking at the other girl, she seemed to be happy with her chosen lifestyle. A unique thing in this day and age.
