Get in the Car [O]

Tree after tree. A green blur of vegetation as far as the eye could see. Crackling noises from below as tires met dirty in horrible union of ear disturbing traction. Least that would have been the case for any other person. Such sights, such sounds, all the way down to the earthen smells of forest. It was all so enlightening. Beautiful even to her sensations as her royal blue hair fluttered in wild abandoned from the pressure of the rushing air. It's cold embrace on her face only causing a smile to slip upon her lips. Finally the day she had been waiting for. The first day of her journey.

It had been a confusing start to say the least. A car pulled up to her side as she stepped from the cobble walkway of her house. The passenger side door swinging open to reveal an all too familiar face which spoke the only words: "Get in the car loser. We're going to be Champions." Truth be told she had debated leaving him to his own devices and continuing on her way to the docks but then... Where would the fun in that have been?

Sure, the man had some pretty unruly habits to just come and go as he pleased from her life. The first of the two having more meaning than she cared to let on some days. A little secret the two shared between one another for the sake of old times and jokes that weren't always fit for polite conversation. Regardless, she had humored him in his prospect of traveling to Littleroot together. Besides, who could deny a free ride if it meant getting there quicker.

Radio playing softly in the background. The sound of bird types chirping and rocks crunching underneath almost drowning it out all together. On Nera's lap sat the newest of companions to her life. A black and blue fuzz ball that she had grown rather fond of. The little girl definitely had some personality to her in the way she interacted with people. Heck just the energy she had to bounce and play made Nera feel close with her already. A perfect partner in crime for the melodic coordinator.

A hand came up to ruffle the Shinx's tuff of head fur. Itself leaning against the sill of the open car window. It's vibrant yellow eyes excitedly moving all over the place. Over to her left Nera turned her head and with an exaggerated bored tone she let out at Max who was sitting beside her. "Are we there yet?" She be a liar if she said there wasn't fun in testing his patience sometimes.
