hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Dylan wandered the streets of Slateport City in his Magma Uniform, he was clearly cruising for a bruising. "With this, people should go all hero mode and start attacking me." He thought to himself as he puffed out his chest to make it look like he was super strong. "Hey you!!!" He shouted to a passerby brunette girl. "I'm part of Team Magma, join us or we'll take all your Pokemon!" Dylan commanded, though it didn't sound very convincing, in fact it sounded more like he was begging. He wasn't used to this whole evil organization thing yet.
Dylan made sure his face was all covered up under his hood making it quite difficult to see what he looks like, and for him to see in general. He quickly unclipped a Pokeball from his belt and held it out towards Bunny. "You don't want me to use force, do you!?" He threatened, still not sounding quite scary.

Bunny had been walking around idly, as a sort of tourist, not really paying attention to the people around her. Diana, her Dratini, was wrapped in her arms, the two of them admiring the scenery that was Slateport City. But, to her surprise, Bunny found herself being yelled at by some passerby.
Tilting her head, she looked at the guy. He was wearing some funny outfit, and shouting something that didn't sound as threatening as he meant it to be. Take all her pokemon? He didn't sound very serious. But then he launched a pokeball at her feet, unleashing a pokemon and yelling something about forcing her to battle.
Oh! This was a street performance! Well, in that case....
"Alright then, let's go!" Bunny pulled out a pokeball and threw it to meet with it's opponent. Out came her Furfrou, Fiona. The tall dog glared at her opponent, standing tall and proud.

"Wow! That was super easy!" Dylan thought to himself and smile widely, not time to hopefully beat up this poor innocent girl, possibly take her money and get the hell out of here before the rangers show up. Not that Dylan wanted this girls money, he just wanted mad levels for his Pokemon, and he was gonna get those mad levels even if it was the last thing he did. "Alright go! Lapras!" He shouted slamming the Pokeball onto the floor, and releasing the water ice type.
"Give that pooch a good rinse with Water Gun!" Dylan commanded getting straight into the battle without another word, this was suppose to be quick, easy, and painless like ripping a band aid off. "After that sing it a nice lullaby!" He added, he wanted to see what this guy could do with status effects.

Bunny found herself admiring the Lapras as it appeared, ooh-ing at the sight of it. She hadn't seen one before, but had read about them often. It was pretty neat to see one up close.
"Dodge, use tackle twice, quickly!" Fiona nodded, dodging the Water Gun with ease (and making sure to keep her precious fur clean and pristine). The Furfrou leaped into the air and aimed a tackle directly at the Lapras, and once she landed back on her feet, sent another one its way just in case. They had to be careful, you know.
But then the large water pokemon used a move that Bunny hadn't been expecting — Sing. As the Lapras' voice rang into the air, she saw Fiona become so drowzy she nearly toppled over. The Furfrou eventually hit the ground, deep in sleep. Bunny bit her lip, worried about what was to come next.

Dylan's Lapras easily tanked one of the tackles, and leaped backwards dodging the other one. "Woohoo, nice job Lapras." Dylan commented with a half smile towards the Transport Pokemon. The Furfrou seemed to be downed by the Sing attack simply standing there to take attacks, so Dylan eagerly gave it a double dishing off attacks. "Ok! Use Water Gun!" Dylan commanded and Lapras quickly shot out a stream of water at Furfrou.
Dylan crossed his fingers hoping the water gun didn't wake it up as soon as it fell asleep, but what could he do about it, it was all luck. "Once more! Water Gun!" Dylan ordered his Lapras who complied eagerly. If this Water Gun awakened Furfrou Dylan didn't mind he got in two free hits.

Bunny watched with baited breath as her beloved Furfrou was doused with water. The pompous pokemon stood there, fast asleep, taking the brunt of the attack without so much as a snore. Shaking her head, Bunny began to worry about how the poor thing would feel if she ever saw her coat in this condition. She'd be so upset! Oh, gosh. This already wasn't going in her favor.
"C'mon Fiona!" Bunny called out desperately, but Fiona didn't wake. Another Water Gun hit the Furfrou's pelt and Bunny winced. How was she going to get out of this.
Her hands ghosted over her belt of pokeballs, but she didn't pull another teammate out just yet. That seemed a little unfair, to be truthful, and Fiona was sure to be extra enraged when she woke up... if she woke up....
"You can do it, wake up, wake up!" Bunny cried desperately, but the Furfrou didn't rouse.

"I almost feel bad now, the Furfrou is just standing there taking these Water Guns." Dylan thought to himself with a frown. "Well whatever a battle is a battle. Not my fault if it decides to stay asleep." He added removing the frown from his face, exchanging it for a callous one, he should start filling the roll of a Magma Grunt for real now.
"Alright Lapras keep hosing that pooch down!" Dylan commanded and Lapras shot another beam of water at Furfrou dousing it in cold water. "Again." Dylan ordered, this time the Beam of water would be much more warm. "Fall." He whispered hoping the Furfrou would go down.

Fiona still wasn't responding. Bunny shook her head, about to pull out another pokeball after the next Water Gun hit. The Furfrou was doused with water, and Bunny was reaching down when suddenly Fiona began to yip wildly, growling at the Lapras and now fully awake. Without a word from her trainer, Fiona dodged the next attack and launched herself at her opponent, hoping to land a tackle while they were stunned.
Bunny stood with her mouth wide open.
Fiona was pissed.
But she guessed that made sense, right? Shrugging to herself, Bunny called out "Another tackle?" a second before her pokemon acted. Fiona seemed to worry a lot less about orders when her fur was wet.

Dylan was a bit disappointed, this Lapras couldn't take down the damn pooch no matter how many Water Guns it shot out at it. "Come on Lapras! Pull yourself together!" He said and shook his head again. "Alright again! Water Gun! This time like you mean it!" He added rubbing his temples quite annoyed out how this way playing out. His Lapras nodded and was about to let out another beam of water, but was slammed into by the Furfrou.
"Oh damn! It woke up. . ." Dylan muttered to himself as Furfrou slammed into the Lapras again. "Come on! Do something!" Dylan said and his Lapras finally shot a duo of Water Guns at Furfrou.
