Dmitri was wandering along, minding his own business, snooping around after a person he'd quelled an Aqua Grunt with. Dmitri wanted to apologize for not introducing himself sooner, but oddly enough, after hours of trailing him... he'd vanished. Out of thin air... Could it all have been a hallucination?
But I saw him... Dmitri remained unconvinced; there was talk that Team Magma and Aqua could teleport to their base from nigh any remote location. He couldn't have been... Dmitri wanted to hope against the odds he was affiliated with either team.
I mean, he helped us... Surely he was a good guy? Or was it simply because they were like rival gangs? Dmitri had an idea of which team he must've belonged to, if either. I'm going nuts just thinking about it. Just where had that guy ran off to?
Ever since then, he'd been tracking down this elusive trainer. He'd even asked around about a silvery-haired lad about his height, with a Nidoking. Nobody seemed to have any idea, which wasn't a surprise. But the question still persisted in him.
And why was this place incredibly difficult to navigate? Everywhere he went a ledge blocked him off, though he couldn't say whether or not it was impossible, but it sure seemed that way. The cliff's edge looming overhead was a daunting prospect to someone who'd never seen much more than small hills back home. In fact, they frightened Dmitri.

After meeting up with his "sister" Dylan had to quickly rush back to Mauville to get a move on in the routes, he needed to get to next town for it's gym he wanted to keep getting stronger and stronger. Together with his Lucario he ran down the routes taking a few breaks every here and there. He wasn't quite sure where to go, but as long as it was forward he was fine with it.
He saw a fork in the road, one way continued with the road, the other went through a sandstorm, he was not looking forward to that, not yet anyway. He moved down the road until he spotted a slightly buff brunette who looked puzzled and lost. He quickly approached the man hoping he could offer some help to him, he wasn't sure how he'd react, but Dylan hoped if he stitched a smile across his face the stranger would do the same.
As he approached, Dylan's Partner, Lucario examined his aura carefully, he didn't have a malicious or evil one so he allowed Dylan to approach the man, and once they were in about arms distance Dylan tried to catch his attention. "Hey! Are ya lost?"

He could hear someone trudging down his way, and he took a step to the side to allow them to pass. Yet as they neared he was greeted with a direct question. I'm not lost... He turned around and suddenly, realized who was walking up to him.
"I'm not... w-wait a minute, you're that guy from Petalburg!" He gawked at him for a moment, noticing a Lucario at his side. He's got one of those too?! Such an envious person, Dmitri. Still, it was the Nidoking that had intrigued him when they'd met. This guy's obviously experienced. But could he... could he honestly be Team Magma material?
Considering some of the grunts at the gala, yeah, he's got what it takes. He'd been uncharacteristically quiet until just now, but he quickly rebutted with a question of his own. "I tailed you after that incident... but you disappeared out of thin air. How'd you do it!?"
"And don't you try to lie with me!" He grabbed towards his pokemon, as if expecting to battle if he didn't hear what he wanted to hear. He just wanted to know; maybe even needed to, to clear his conscience over the mightyena incident.

Is he trying to play me for an idiot? Dmitri could've sworn he'd teleported out of there, but he was providing an alibi. That was just the sort of thing he expected a seasoned criminal to do however, and this time, he wouldn't warrant any benefits of the doubt.
"Yeah, how about this..." He took a moment to consider the situation carefully. If I win, he won't have a choice, but if I lost... It could be a sticky situation, but it was worth a shot. "... I win, you come clean with me. You win, I'll believe you."
For the moment, anyways. Dmitri yanked at Sheeba's pokeball and primed it, before loosing an ursine pokemon onto the field, stalking the ground just before him eagerly. I know he has Nidoking... There would undoubtedly be other pokemon he trained, so selecting his ringer to quell an early Nidoking―if he even chose it―wasn't advisable.
Sheeba is standing by!

Leech Seed... that could be annoying. "Avoid it, Sheeba!" She dove to the side and tumbled, narrowly avoiding a thriving spout of seeds pelting against the grass beneath them. She gained her footing.
"Karate Chop it!" Sheeba came lunging at Skiddo, a heavy handed downstroke with its left palm stretched outward and stiff. "Now follow up with Arm Thrust!" She would quickly swing the other arm forward, then pulling it back almost mechanically and jabbing with the other consecutively. She tried to thrust at him three times, but lost her stamina shortly after.
She was overtaken by the Razor Leaf because of this, but it wasn't a major hit. Dmitri was beginning to enjoy this battle, and this guy didn't seem so bad. "I'm Dmitri, by the way. Don't know if I mentioned that." But that's okay, we have a long time to talk about names still. He gave a wry grin.
Sheeba dodged Leech Seed! Sheeba used Karate Chop! Sheeba used Arm Thrust! Sheeba was hit by Razor Leaf!

I rolled the arm thrust 1-5 and got 3 so that's my count, I would've picked 3 free form anyways so I was really glad that happened. I also rolled your critical for Razor Leaf 1-8 and figured 8 would be critical, but it rolled 2. Depending on which attack you dodge, lemme know karate's roll. Also if you think my damage is off I can edit, I just winged what I thought a normal move might hit for man.<3

If he wants to insist on Leech Seed, fine. He didn't signal Sheeba to avoid it, and so she was seeded. She wasn't restricted however, it merely sapped her vitality every so often. It was like a parasite, but more violent than he might've recognized.
"Yeah, I'm sure it is." Not that I can say you're a pleasure... but, I have been looking everywhere for you... The incident with Mightyena still haunted him nightly, diminishing the quality of his sleep.
"Keep thrusting! Wear that billygoat down!" She came lunging towards him, though he could hardly manage to evade all Pancham's strikes, Skiddo wasn't completely immobile. He could jump away from Sheeba's reach in a single movement; and she would straggle behind, waddling eagerly towards her objective. Be mindful to pace yourself, Sheeba. Her ambition was limitless and unrivaled.
But it made her vulnerable, and she was overextending on her advantage. Or rather, she faulted in believing she had the advantage when clearly this match was quite nearly a stalemate.
Sheeba was hit by Leech Seed! Sheeba used Arm Thrust (4 Hits)! Sheeba used Arm Thrust (3 Hits)! Sheeba dodged Razor Leaf! Sheeba was leeched by Leech Seed!

No crits for me to roll. You can dodge either Arm Thrust, just roll the crit afterwards and if it's a critical, yay for me \o/. Though it's really tedious so we can just drop the crits if you want. But if we keep using Karate Chop/Razor Leaf, we'll probably want to keep rolling them. Leech Seed took about ~6% off Sheeba, so I'd say that's at least %5 for Roll.<3
