Anastasia always seemed to complain about the pace Gwen wanted to keep. The past day and the day before she'd waddled, toddled, and otherwise dawdled consistently. So, Gwen figured it was about time they take things a bit slower. The sun was out, the beach was warm, and the water was nice. She figured there was no way Anastasia could turn down what she had to offer.
"How about we move along a bit slower," she recommended as she got dressed in their shared room, shedding night ware -- her long shirt and boxers -- in favor of some swimwear and street clothes to go over them. A bikini top and pair of bikini shorts were covered by jeans and a t-shirt, "I know you haven't enjoyed the pace we've been keeping, so how about a day at the beach?"
Of course that day at the beach wasn't meant to purely be a fun experience. No, she'd been to the beach recently to experiment with a Magikarp and figured today would be good for taking a look at the Castform in Anastasia's possession. The previous night she'd seen it change forms through simply being wet, so she wondered if direct contact with the sun on the beach -- or being submerged in the water there -- would cause the same thing to happen.
Not that Anastasia needed to know that.

"the beach?" such an easy bait. as expected, a prospect of such magnitude invigorates her with a youthful vigor. despite the sleep still heavy in her eyes, anastasia finds a way to shed it off in a extravagant manner. she's stripped to her bare unmentionables, unashamed, unafraid. how could she be? they're going to the beach!
all that eager feistiness is dropped the moment gwen starts changing. how peculiar. was it normal for a scientist to carry around a spare bikini? anastasia had no clue but this definitely sparked her suspicion. had darby been planning this in advance-- being an intention stick in the mud, utterly unflattering, all to catch her by surprise and out cute her on the beach?
over her dead body!
it's only take a moment and a few hundred characters for anastasia to raise the stakes. an emergency high priority person swim suit flown by heli was only one of the small perks of inheriting a conglomerate. soon gwen will learn the mighty of silph; a might that comes with the frills of a thousand threads.
