"This is it. My Legend starts today." Orion thought as he looked down at his pokeball. Never before had he thought he'd side with a pokemon in his life... not after his beautiful face was tarnished forever by the scar one gave him- and to think he was given a bug nonetheless. a bug that was hardly even a bug at all. But at least, it was big, and scary... He was glad he didn't recieve a useless fish or a pathetically cute fuzzball. A canine of sorts would've been better, but this was just a stepping stone, really.
He then looked to the disc in his bag- a TM, a free gift to any of those who wanted to become a coordinator. He just randomly chose whichever one his pokemon could learn, the one birch had on hand was brick break. he was even nice enough to teach orion how to put his tm onto his pokemon.
"Alright, Pinsir. Showtime." Orion calmly commanded, tossing the ball into the air, watching as the pinsir appeared in front of him.
"... Sir!" the pinsir said. It looked Orion up and down, just as Orion did the same to him. Orion was... satisfied, but the pinsir, it looked overjoyed.
"hm. not bad... let's see what you can do."
"Sir! PinSir!" it gave a hop of excitement. it wandered over to a old fallen tree; taking the trunk into it's pincers, it used vice grip- the log turned to splinters. Orion couldn't help but give an astounded chuckle.
"Brilliant!! hehehe... hm... well, i should name you, shouldn't i??"
"Sir!" the pinsir gave a slight bow.
"hm... Sir it is then. It fits you... well then, tree man said starting trainers like to loiter here... maybe we can find one to battle, hm? .... i'm talking to a bug like it understands me. what am i doing?" he sighed to himself.
"Sir!" the pinsir said- and it was off- it started wandering around, looking for any human with a pokeball visibly on their person.
".... I stand corrected." he said with a pleased nod. he'd let his pokemon wander around to do his work for him, then.
