"Look Easty, look! I got a Pokemon, I got something!~" He shouts excitedly, bursting though the door of Easter's makeshift house in a frenzy. And why not! He had gotten a pokemon all by himself, something to be proud of. Then again, he didn't really catch it, more like, plucked it among other pokeballs and called it his, but those were just some details that Easter didn't have to know. He wants to show her of course, his new little pet nevermind the last one he had, how was he suppose to know that Goldeen weren't suppose to flop around in the dirt too much? it was the pokemon's fault for not asking for some water, hopefully this one sturdier than the last. It's a Larvitar too, so he guesses that helps him a little. The Pokedex said that it was a rock ground type, so that must account for something.
It's a little hobby of his, if visiting a person is a hobby at all, to show Easter a new pokemon he got. Show off was maybe a better term, but it wasn't like he was bragging about his latest escapade. Nah, it was nice to see her eyes light up whenever he brought something new, something for her to hold and examine at her leisure without going to too much trouble. He liked it, being needed a little, to bring a smile to her face whenever he could.
It takes him a moment to realize that Easter isn't in the room. So he takes to moving a few more steps in, all the while looking around. "Easteeerr~" He calls out, voice taking a more playful tone as he seeks her out.
Oh no oh no oh no...! "Please don't let him find me...!
Easter had dove into her closet just as Azel burst into her temporary house, leaving her wheelchair behind in the open. She and Azel were friends...of sorts. It was a strange kind of companionship. She didn't hate him, but many things he did annoyed her to no end. Especially when he tried to drag her on some new, grand adventure of his. Or worse: show her scary, gross things.
Well...not everything he brought to her was scary...she supposed.
But she couldn't risk her sanity! So she hid as best she could, covering herself with blankets and clothes, holding her breath. She could hear him creeping around her house, calling for her. Boy was it dusty in here...
Suddenly, she felt a tingling, burning sensation in her nose. Oh, no...! She was about to...about to...!
That was weird. He could see where she had left her wheelchair, but then where was Easter? It wasn't like she go out without her wheelchair or anything. Azel frowned, scratching his head as he looks around some more. Definitely weird. And here he was so excited to show her his brand new Larvitar but no Easter in sight.
And then!
He pauses at the sneeze, eyes darting towards the closet. Yes, the sound definitely came from there. It didn't bother him the slightest that Easter had been hiding from him, no, he thought of it more as a game. And he just won. With a mischievous smile approaches the closet in tippy toes, body curling into a sneak as he nears it. Quickly pulling at the handles, he smiles, face filled with boyish charm and glee. "BOO!" He exclaims, smiling wide.
"What're you doing, Easter? You hiding from me or something?~"
Easter could have sworn she heard the theme from Psycho playing. Azel's footsteps crept closer to the closet and then suddenly...the doors flew wide open!
"GYAAHH!" Easter screamed, throwing blankets and clothes all over the place, trying to burrow deeper underneath them. Maybe if she hid herself some more, he'd go away!
"Yes, I'm hiding from you! You're going to show me something scary and horrible and I'll have nightmares!" Because her legs were paralyzed, she wouldn't have been able to run away even if she wanted to. She was at the mercy of Azel. "Why can't you show me something normal? Like-like flowers or clouds in the sky or even-even rocks would be fine!"
She knew it was coming. Azel was going to show her the scary pokemon anyway. She curled up and braced for the impact.
He tossed some of the blankets away, doubling over as he laughs at her reaction. "The THE-The look on your face, you should have seen the look on your f-face." He gasps, struggling to breath as he wraps his arms over his stomach. She actually did get surprised, her voice pitching as she explains herself, curling up in the closet. That was enough to at least sober Azel up, though tears were still in his eyes from laughing.
She thought that he was trying to scare her? WELL!!... No not really, wasn't his intention at all. He'd only wanted to show her a few pokemon, wasn't his fault that there were a lot of Ekans and Koffing around during that time. He'd already felt bad when she didn't like them, and he let them go scare some other people instead. He scratches his head, bending his knees to be level with her, offering an innocent smile as an apology. "No I mean, i-if you want flowers I could get those too." He tries to console. Flowers? Ugh.. It would be better if it were a flower pokemon but flowers were even easier.
"No, but look, I swear this guy's cool, okay?" He tries to placate, as he releases Mint from his Pokeball. Little stone dinosaurs were cool, right? The Larvitar squints at Easter, crossing his stubby arms in front of his chest as Azel places a hand on top of his head. "This is Mint, and he's not that scary. Go on Mint." He gives the Larvitar a little nudge, causing the pokemon to huff and take a step closer to Easter, looking at her expectantly.

baby, you’re caramel
Wha-! He was totally laughing at her! Why that little brat...! He should have acted his age! Not like some kid! She growled in rage but softened up when Azel offered getting her flowers next time.
Easter unfurled the clothes, peeking out from a small hole and staring at him with suspicious eyes. She knew he'd find some way around the flowers. He'd probably show her flowers...with a giant bug on them.
She at least was able to wait for Azel to show her his new pokemon. The larvitar was actually...really cute. Easter poked her head out a bit more, staring wide eyed at it, cheeks flushed and face sparkling.
"T-This is Mint...? She's really...cute. H-Hi, Mint...! I'm-I'm Easter."
Who knew Azel was able to get such a cute pokemon. Maybe she'd get along with it for once.
She reached a small, tentative hand out from the blankets, wanting to pet Mint's head like Azel did.
He dares not come any closer, some part of him wondering if she would flinch if he did. It hurts a little, to see that she doesn't really want anything to do with him when he tries so hard to please her. He wants to see her happy, though he has to admit that he has a weird way of showing it. Azel likes to do things his way, his own version with his personal twist to but he's never been one to do anything half-assed.
He does smile when he sees her take interest, loving the way her eyes brighten at the sight of Mint when she finally does manage to pull away from her fort of clothes. "No, it's a he. Aren't ya, Mint?" He asks, and then realizes his mistake when the Pokemon gives him a pout and glare, before raising her head up high and wobbling over to Easter to allow the pet.
Azel bites his lips, nervously looking at the pokemon. "S-Sorry, I thought you were a guy. Oops." Careless as usual, he hadn't even bothered to check his own pokemon's gender. The Larvitar had just looked so masculine that he had assumed it to be so. "Anyway, see? I told you I had something nice to show you."
Mint utters a little squeak, nuzzling into Easter's palm with a lazy look in her eyes.
Azel thought his own pokemon was a boy? How funny. Easter chuckled, her face lighting up as she petted Mint.
"She's so cute of course Mint's a girl, aren't you, Mint?" she said cheerfully. The fear and dread escaped from Easter's mind. She was actually glad Azel was persistent enough to show her Mint. That was one thing she liked about him: No matter what, Azel wouldn't give up. Well, that was a fault too but Easter was willing to overlook it today.
"I have a pokemon too but..." Her voice trailed off. She wasn't sure if she wanted to tell Azel that she was scared of her own pokemon. She simply wasn't used to him. She liked the other pokemon she worked with better. "Mm. Nevermind!" Pink blush tinted her cheeks and she dug back into the clothes. Having paralyzed legs meant she was basically trapped in the closet for now. There was nowhere else to run!
It's simple probability. If he brings her enough stuff, chances are she'll like at least one of them. It's science, right? So it must work, somehow.
At least she seems to like Mint enough. And Mint seems to like her too, as she presses closer to Easter's petting, a strange purring sound from her throat as she enjoys the attention. Frankly, Azel's kept his distance from the Larvitar, mostly because he thought the pokemon had been a dude. Bromance is fine, but just enough bromance thank you very much. At least now Azel knew to shower his little darling with affection.
That got his attention very quickly. "Pokemon? Where? You didn't tell me you got one too?!" He whines, flopping to the ground to bemoan his predicament. He flops around, before finally inching closer to Easter, like a dog begging for a treat. "Can I puhlease see what you got?" He says to her, puppy dog eyes on full effect. Even Mint has to huff at the man's childish behavior.
