welcome to calamity! we are an au pokemon site based in hoenn. we do not have canons so you can pick them as your fcs! we have a short one hundred word word count. and you get to also pick your own starter! calamity is going to focus on providing users with a good and stable plot line to follow. this helps each character progress and some might even have a play in affecting the plot! we hope you enjoy your time here and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

hey folks, calamity's been open for a month now, and we have to say it's been a wild ride. now that everybody's settled, we have a couple announcements to make!

these mainly pertain to the site. this includes mainly class and system changes. not all of them are implemented, but they will be soon.
➀ we're scrapping the breeder class and replacing it with the rangers. since there are so many rares on the site, breeding would dilute their value. breeders will get 5pd when they switch over to any other class as compensation.
➁ machine has offered to renovate the mini-profile, this will have everything that's in the original profile -- and more! we appreciate the work that she's put in. look for these changes soon.
➂ once the mini-profile will come up, coordinator benefits will be changed and contests will start. there will also be a host of other introductions as well, such as trends, social media, and rankings.
➃ these mini-profile changes also include a points system. this is how all classes will go up in rank, once the mini-profile is implemented you may gain points and be promoted without the hassle of keeping track. more to come soon.
➄ since we are scrapping breeders eggs can only be hatched strictly through ic -- you only need to mention it in 2 threads before they can hatch.
➅ because the trainer class has gotten so big, we are taking away some benefits and adding more to the other classes. people are encouraged to join the other classes, especially aqua!
➆ congratulations to the otm winners for this month! sorry for it being late, make sure you congratulate the winners while you can. we closed it awhile ago but they're up now!

➀ there have been sightings of unknown pokemon approaching trainers and leaving them with an item. trainers are recommended to approach them with extreme caution. more coming...
➁ the cave explorations are wrapping up. all beach events in petalburg city will need to close by june 27th. any remaining points will be discarded and the gift shop will close.
➂ there is an upcoming summer gala hosted in slateport. trainers will be able to attend by train. more info will be out soon.
➃ suspicious activity from magma and aqua has been on the rise, although there has not been any major events. trainers are advised to keep on a lookout.

and here we stand, you and me. dime dozens thrown in the air of the chill quite sullen. no regrets of the small yesterday. so i dare you, fight me, fight me, until i bleed.
With these words the Witch fell down in a brown, melted, shapeless mass and began to spread over the clean boards of the kitchen floor. Seeing that she had really melted away to nothing, Dorothy drew another bucket of water and threw it over the mess. She then swept it all out the door. After picking out the silver shoe, which was all that was left of the old woman, she cleaned and dried it with a cloth, and put it on her foot again. Then, being at last free to do as she chose, she ran out to the courtyard to tell the Lion that the Wicked Witch of the West had come to an end, and that they were no longer prisoners in a strange land.
The Cowardly Lion was much pleased to hear that the Wicked Witch had been melted by a bucket of water, and Dorothy at once unlocked the gate of his prison and set him free. They went in together to the castle, where Dorothy's first act was to call all the Winkies together and tell them that they were no longer slaves.
There was great rejoicing among the yellow Winkies, for they had been made to work hard during many years for the Wicked Witch, who had always treated them with great cruelty. They kept this day as a holiday, then and ever after, and spent the time in feasting and dancing.
"If our friends, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman, were only with us," said the Lion, "I should be quite happy."
"Don't you suppose we could rescue them?" asked the girl anxiously.
"We can try," answered the Lion.
So they called the yellow Winkies and asked them if they would help to rescue their friends, and the Winkies said that they would be delighted to do all in their power for Dorothy, who had set them free from bondage. So she chose a number of the Winkies who looked as if they knew the most, and they all started away. They traveled that day and part of the next until they came to the rocky plain where the Tin Woodman lay, all battered and bent. His axe was near him, but the blade was rusted and the handle broken off short.
