xx. please post in the member lounge if you're going away on an extended period of time or if you are leaving the site forever.

xx. if you wish to drop a character, please contact one of our staff with the link to your profile, application, and any threads that need to be archived. 

xx. keep everything pg-13. swearing is allowed, but keep it controlled.

xx. this site uses liquid time. this means you can have as many threads as you want!

xx. advertisements are only allowed in the plug board.

xx. follow the proboards terms of service.

xx. if there is a hole in the system, please do not abuse it. contact staff, and we'll try to fix it to the best of our ability. please do not exploit these loopholes since this makes it less fun for everyone on the site.

POKEDOLLARS RULES

xx. pokedollars are the currency used on calamity.

xx. there are several ways to getting pokedollars:

• finishing a thread.
• battling.
• doing missions.

xx. the amount of pokedollars you get per thread depends on how much you posted in the thread. 

you get 2 pokedollars for less than 4 posts
you get 4 pokedollars for at least 4 posts
you get 6 pokedollars for at least 8 posts
you get 8 pokedollars for at least 12 posts
you get 10 pokedollars for at least 14 posts

xx. the maximum you can get per thread is 10 pokedollars.

xx. if you win a battle, you get 4 pokedollars in addition to the pokedollars you get for your finished thread.

xx. if you lose a battle, you get 2 pokedollars in addition to the pokedollars you get for your finished thread.

xx. wild battles do not count as wins/loses

xx. for a battle to count each person must battle at least 3 pokemon.

xx. the amount of pokedollars you get for completing missions depends on the type of mission. it will be specified in the mission thread how much pokedollars you earn, along with the amount you get for claiming a finished thread.


xx. all classes start out the same here on calamity. professor birch is giving out fresh new pokemon at his pokemon lab in littleroot town. please check the rare list as well! you have a choice between:

• a randomized rare pokemon with no egg moves.
• a non-rare pokemon with a randomized egg move.

xx. this site uses linear routes. this means you need to clear a route before you can get to the next town. for example, you can only get to oldale once you pass route 101.

xx. you do not need to post in the towns to move on to the next route. 

xx. you may travel freely between whatever places you have cleared! so if you've reached petalburg you can travel to oldale and littleroot freely. 

xx. to get through a route you must have finished a thread in a route! it doesn't matter what type of thread. so you could post in a wild encounter thread if it's free, thread with someone, or even request an npc for your thread!

xx. you are allowed two modded threads at a time. one wild and one npc.

xx. you are limited to a maximum of three pokemon encounters in every wild thread. you may have less than that if you wish, but not more.

xx. you cannot control traded pokemon that are too powerful without badges. this is to encourage people to challenge gyms. any trainer class can challenge gyms. this only applies if the OT of the pokemon is not yours.

• 0 badges - up to level 20
• 1 badge - up to level 30
• 2 badges - up to level 40
• 3 badges - up to level 50
• 4 badges - up to level 60
• 5 badges - up to level 70
• 6 badges - up to level 80
• 7 badges - up to level 90
• 8 badges - all pokemon

xx. to hatch an egg you have to complete two threads in character. you also need to have mentioned the egg in your threads. 

xx. your team consists of six pokemon. it's illegal to carry more than 6 on your person, although you may have companions. these pokemon are only for show, they cannot battle. 

xx. unlike the games, pokemon on calamity are able to learn up to six moves. 

xx. pokespeak is not allowed! your character's pokemon may not speak to your character unless you have a psychic type pokemon.

xx. legendary pokemon cannot be caught, only befriended.

xx. you can use tms more than once, just like in black and white.


xx. you can have an unlimited amount of characters.

xx. the first two characters you create are free. but you need 10 ic posts on each character before making your third. and you need 10 on your third before making your fourth, and so on.

xx. you cannot trade to yourself, you need a middle man if you want your pokemon given to another character.

xx. on acceptance, please post in the face claim.

xx. you must use an animanga/game fc as we don't allow real life nor oc claims.

xx. one account per character.

xx. hovers are 200x300. avatars are 100x100.


xx. no spamming.

xx. no advertisements.

xx. if you see someone causing problems please contact staff.
