TRAINER CLASSES

trainers have always been a popular class in hoenn. just about everyone wants to be one. it doesn't matter if you're young or old, anyone can be one. it's never too late to start! that is one of the reasons why the class is so popular, because anyone can easily get into it. the ultimate goal of a trainer is to challenge the elite four and become the champion of hoenn.
perks:
- trainers get 50% pokeballs and evolution items.
- trainers get 1 level if they lose a battle.
ranks:
- 0-2 badges - beginner
- 3-5 badges - experienced
- 6-8 badges - veteran
- beat elite four - champion
coordinator

often referred to as the 'fabulous class', coordinators tend to pick style over power as they illuminate the stage with their performances. the goal of coordinators is to participate in coordinating contests and win contest ribbons.
they usually level up their pokemon so it can get more moves that can be used in contests.
perks:
- teach tm moves to other trainers for a price. these tms are obtained through contests.
- 1 free tm of choice
ranks:
- 0-3 ribbons - beginner
- 4-7 ribbons - hobbyist
- 8-11 ribbons - amateur
- 12-15 ribbons - professional
AQUA

team aqua's goal is to raise the sea levels and make the world a better place. they typically love water and everything about it. most of them specialize in water pokemon, but not all of them. only true radicals. they plan to achieve this by capturing kyogre and using it.
they have always had beef with team magma since the beginning. the two factions share different views and want the world to be different things. so the majority of aquas will dislike magmas. some even with a burning passion.
perks:
- access to the aqua mission board where you can do missions and get rewards.
- a teleporting machine that can transport you directly to aqua base wherever you are from. it's stored in a little bag and is easily accessible.
- a free non-rare water/ice/flying/dark type. see the aqua hq for this.
ranks:
xx. leader - the one who is in charge of everything. they will have a strong understanding of the aqua ideology and will do everything that they can to achieve it. they will stay in position until someone challenges them. only admins can challenge leaders for their position. current leader:

xx. admin - a rank below leader. they answer directly to the leader. they are in charge of overseeing all aqua operations. they can come up with missions to give to the others to do. they can also make decisions based on their judgement. which means they can freely promote or fire anyone they see or don't see fit. elites may become admins when they have a total of 6 battles and at least 3 gym badges. current admins:

xx. elite - a rank below admin. they have been trusted enough to be in charge of their own squadron. they operate and oversee everything that happens in their section. they can also create missions to give to the grunts. however they cannot promote, hire, or fire anyone without getting permission from the admin or leader. sergeants may become elites when they have a total of 4 battles and at least 2 gym badges. current elites:

xx. sergeant - a rank below elite. they have earned enough of a reputation and trust to be promoted to sergeant. sergeant's aren't much different from grunts. they still do the heavy lifting. the only difference is that they get to boss around the other grunts as well. maybe take off some of work off their shoulders. grunts can be promoted to sergeants when they have a total of 2 battles and at least 1 gym badge. current sergeants:

xx. grunt - a rank below sergeant. every aqua recruit starts out at this rank. they do the heavy lifting. they answer directly to the elites and must follow every order and command given to them.
MAGMA

they have always had beef with team aqua since the beginning. the two factions share different views and want the world to be different things. so the majority of magmas will dislike aquas. some even with a burning passion.

xx. grunt - a rank below sergeant. every magma recruit starts out at this rank. they do the heavy lifting. they answer directly to the elites and must follow every order and command given to them.
rangers
▼
rangers are essentially the police force of hoenn. they regularly guard and patrol the routes. most rangers are on reserve throughout the region, and only act if they see illegal action taking place. some actively work to prevent magma and aqua from taking over.
they have a capture stylus which can befriend a wild pokemon. using it strengthens the friendship between the ranger and the pokemon. the befriended pokemon follows the ranger around and assists them, and only one pokemon can follow them at a time. the pokemon can only stick around in one board for they have to be returned to their habitat, however. if rangers try to befriend a pokemon out of their range, their stylus temporarily breaks and shuts down.
the stylus' chance of success is equivalent to the level of the pokemon they can capture. ex. a stylus with a rate of 90% can befriend pokemon that are up to level 90.

- a stylus that can befriend and make aggressive wild pokemon easier to subdue.

xx. admin - admins are usually a strong counsel of people who directly answer to the commissioner. they're in charge of the different regions of hoenn, directing rangers to attend to mini-crises. they can create missions for other rangers to complete. elites may become admins when they have a total of 6 battles and at least 5 gym badges. their stylus has a 70% rate of being successful. current admins:
