He'd kill that glameow, for how it had stolen all his treasure, and forced him to restart his collection. He'd wipe them all out! Even if it was faster, and quicker, and oh Arcues, even if he couldn't tell where the Glameow was or why the tail hurt so badly, he'd kill them all. And those were his last thoughts as he fell to the ground, claws clutching the strands of hair so tightly that blood was seeping out of his palm. Yeah, he'd have his revenge, one way or the other.
meowth faints! glameow gains two levels! another pokemon?

i wake at the first cringe of morning
and my heart's already sinned
It was a relief to see the attacks land solidly on the meowth, to watch as it was finally felled and fainted with Machiko’s Iron Tails. He wasn’t exactly happy about having to go all out on a pokemon like that but the naughty thing had been stubborn and set on attacking them therefore he had to do what he had to do. Yami would always defend himself and his pokemon that was just how he chose to do things, especially if they were unjustly attacked. Unthinkingly he threw the pokeball at the damned creature, watching as the capsule opened and a red light shot out to engulf the Meowth. He let out a low hiss as he touched his tender head, wincing at the pain radiating from the spot a few strands had been yanked from. Machiko mewled softly as she brushed against him, worried for her human master but noticeably tired and Yami softened at the sight. Murmuring words of comfort as he bent down, he gathered up the pokeball and settled it back on his belt as he scooped up the Glameow. She purred contently in his arms a little, her eyes closing and easily falling into a light doze at the gentle fingers on her fur.
“Alright then, time for you to catch a break pretty girl. You’ve done enough.” The slender female mewled her agreement as Yami took out her pokeball and a red light engulfed her. It was strange to suddenly have her familiar weight gone from his arms before he decided to call out a different pokemon. Smiling as he thought of Hana and how much fun he tended to have with her, with that in mind he pulled out the pokemon’s pokeball and called her out.
Plusle, plus!
The petite pokemon took a stance as she appeared out of her pokeball before she started bopping her head to a beat only she could hear as usual. The little girl was quirky and loveable, always up for a challenge and even more up for dancing as well as music. Yami chuckled as he settled back down on the sand, watching her as she swayed along the shore, investigating it as she grooved along. It was always fun to watch her move about, her whole body moving to a beat she always had in her head and Yami could tell just from how she chanted that it was always different and never the same one. He could still remember it was how they’d met that day on Route 101 and he was glad for it. She would make the perfect partner when it was time for contests…if he could get his hands on a minun too. Then again Skitty would be good for Machiko’s partner as well so…his team could go either way.
And just as the plusle danced along the shoreline, a little bubble would be seen here or there, gentle little air bits popping as they hit the thin surface. The thing underneath did not seem too keen on showing itself, and instead whished to remain anonymous. However the bubbles followed the electric mouse even as it began trotting away, and for as long as the coast was in sight, so were the bubbles.
meowth was captured! bubbles are seen on the water's surface! what will trainer yami do?
Hana was more than content to simply wander about freely, unlike her two pokemon companions she was more willing to wander away from their human companion. Far more free spirited and independent than them and proud of it even though she loved Yami and how compatible they were with twin loves for music. So she wandered away, another song in her head that she’d heard from some human contraption, the words were long forgotten but the rhythm of it was still there, pounding away at her head insistently. It wasn’t an unpleasant tune, just one that made her rock to the beat and chant quietly as she ventured down the shore. It was probably one of the reasons she didn’t notice anything suspicious at first…well that and the fact she kept running from the waves each time they reach out for her when the water lapped at the shore. It was a little game she was playing with herself as she explored the shore line without her human companion by her side. It was rare that Yami let her free…probably because of the fact she had the tendency to wander away and get lost. It was all fun and games though and he knew it.
It didn’t take long, however, for the little plusle to notice that something was strange about the water beside her. After one particular jig out of the waters reach she noticed a few bubbles coming from beneath. After a little while of moving forward she noticed they seemed to follow her. She let out a few squeaks of her name to Yami in order to alert him before curiosity got the best of her and she wandered forward. Squeaking in surprise at the water before shuddering and continuing on, ignoring the fact that as an electric type the water amplified her abilities. Her interest was solely on the bubbles rising in the water and she cocked her head a little as she looked into it before grumbling softly and dunking her head in…only to see a strange fish-like creature. Jerking back and squeaking, she blinked before narrowing her eyes a bit and dunking her head back in. A little put out that this pokemon had been…well spying on her!! What in all of pokemon did it want??
The remoraid couldn't help but be shocked when the normally still lines of the surface curved and tipped until finally a face swept in, blurred by his vision ad by the water, until finally the face became clear. It made the fish's heart race- it was new, exotic, and never before seen. The creature was beautiful, and the sudden realization made the remoraid shrink away, afraid to show his ugly, disproportional face above water. The pokemon squirmed, trying to hide itself and yet still be able to catch sight of the plusle, and so it began flapping awkwardly back into the depths like some blushing qwilfish.
Hana blinked in surprise when the pokemon shied away from her, backing away almost as though…it was shy. She cocked her head to the side beneath the water causing her slim ears to sway and quirk, showing her curiosity as she continued to watch the pokemon. She inched a little closer and wiggled her tail playfully, invitingly so that the pokemon that had been watching her could know she wanted it to come closer. After all how was she supposed to get a good look at it and make friends if it kept backing away from her like it had upon her dive into the water…besides she didn’t want to chance going deeper into the water if she could help it. Hana wasn’t exactly sure if she could swim or not and didn’t want to chance it seeing as she was all smooth rhythms and electrifying moves. She puffed out her cheeks playfully, displaying the circles on each one where her charges usually came from and again inviting him to play. She wished this was on land then perhaps she could verbally invite it to play with her and show her moves off to someone other than her human.
Speaking of, Yami had been watching her strange behavior before she called for him in her squeaking way. He had blinked, cocking his head to the side in a similar manner that she had before getting up and taking a few strides towards her. No real concern or urgency moving him seeing as the female plusle didn’t seem to be in any real danger. All the same he called out softly, “Be careful not to fall in, Hana.”
Hearing her human’s voice the female plusle pulled up her head to look back at Yami. A wide smile pulled at her puffy cheeks and she squeaked her name out and pointed towards the water excitedly and he arched an eyebrow at her not understanding at first. However, getting a little closer but staying out of the water he arched an eyebrow at her once more before finally noticing what she must have been motioning towards. Bubbles. There were bubbles rising from in the water and he felt a small smile tug at his lips as he looked down at his dripping plusle in mild amusement. “You’re making a friend?” She let out a soft squeak again before dunking her head beneath the water excitedly, smiling widely at the pokemon beneath the water. Yami could only watch as he sat back, leaning on his arms as he watched events unfold, not too concerned seeing as nothing serious had happened just yet.
Understanding that the plusle wasn't all that bad, the remoraid same tentatively closer to the fish, hoping against hope that it would be alright. Many had backed away from him before- but the seas were not full of kind people like the surface was rumored to be. The remoraid got close, and them beamed happily, twriling around to tickle the plusle with its tail fins. Then, the fish kicked a bit further to hit the surface, eyes going wide as it saw the human with purple hair. It bubbled back underneath, looking at the Plusle with some more excitement now. Was it with the human? COuld he come along as well? The remoraid found it hard to express himself.
When the Remoraid came closer the female plusle almost forgot she was underwater and had made to squeak a greeting before stopping herself. However, when the pokemon beamed up at her she couldn’t help but to grin back at the pokemon, wriggling excitedly about having a new friend possibly. Hana was above all her other pokemon companions, the friendliest of the lot and the most loveable as her trainer like to say. It always made her happy, especially when he chose her above all the other pokemon seeing as she knew how much he liked his feline pokemon. It was no secret considering they were the forefront of his team and it was a wonder a mousey pokemon like her had even made it into his top three pokemon but she was content all the same that he had chosen her. So she had no problem making new friends just like this Remoraid and coaxing them into her pace…or at least what they would soon realize were her pace once they got to know the quirky little plusle.
Yami was only slightly surprise when the pokemon Hana had been interacting with under the water, broke the surface to look at him and he instantly recognized it. Remoraid. He blinked, surprised and intrigued by the sudden appearance of a pokemon that could be useful in his team. His squirtle needed another water type companion and he hummed thoughtfully as he watched the Remoraid go underwater back to Hana. The plusle however was intrigued by whatever the water type was trying to convey and looked at it strangely before needing to get air. When her head broke the surface, Yami called for her and she blinked before scurrying over to her human companion, beaming up at him with water dripping from her fur and he chuckled. After a moment of thoughtful silence he unhooked a pokeball from his belt and handed it to her, “Go see if you’re new friend would like to tag along.”
Hana blinked before it clicked and she took the little capsule from her trainer excitedly, practically leaping into the water this time as she crouched around the capsule she’d accidentally enlarged. She tapped it before pointing at the Remoraid and then pointing to the land. Trying to get across to the water type that her trainer was inviting it to join them on their adventure.
Yes, of course! all at once the remoraid understood what was being offer, and the poor fish, though incredibly nervous to be showing itself anywhere vaguely on the lines of the surface, literally jumped at joy for the offer. The fish blasted out of ocean, feeling the fresh air of the outer world hit its skin for what felt like the first time in a century. For a brief moment, the fish looked like the perfect embodiment of beauty- just a silver streak in a pale, blue sky. But then, if the trainer did not act fast and catch it as if completed its graceful arc, it would fall to the ground and flop awkwardly for a minute or two, not sure what to do now that it had made its grand entry.

This time plusle, Hana, did let out a little squeal as she understood the Remoraid’s agreement and excitement at the prospect of going with them. However, she quickly had to pull her head out of the water as some of it had gotten in her mouth so she missed the whole show the water pokemon gave the moment he was out of the water. Her spluttering making a sort of ruckus that was easily ignored, although she could feel her trainer gently patting her back before plucking the pokeball from her grasp and she vaguely wondered what was going on as she tried to get the water from within her mouth so that it wouldn’t be swallowed…though perhaps she had already failed in that endeavor when she’d been surprised initially by it going into her mouth in the first place not that she would have noticed.
Yami on the other hand was very much aware of the show the Remoraid put on and suddenly he wasn’t so reluctant to try the creature out. It suddenly had a sheen that made Yami see the beauty in the creature and the way the light reflected off of it because of the water made Yami think it might be one of the better contest pokemon he had for now. He’d try it out, give the pokemon a chance to prove itself with him in a pokemon contest and then…then he’d have some fun. Grinning and plucking the pokeball from Hana after absently helping her get the water out of her system he activated the capsule and watched as the red light engulfed the pokemon while still in the air. His body tense with anticipation as he waited to see if the capture actually would be successful and the Remoraid hadn’t changed its mind.
