[attr="class","abar"] Tango was already emmersed in her scarf, something that she was sure every one of her pokemon would be. Freyja practically couldn't even see him in the mass of all the red that usually surrounded her, but she did occasionally feel his paws around around her shoulders or back. The pokemon had proved himself quiet and easily angered, and had instantly hit off with Freyja. Fire types, she decided, were definitely her element. She walked around, the Cyndaquil's movements making her scarf tangle in literally just about anything as she made her way to Odale, stopping every five seconds to remove the material from a tree branch or random bush.
As she walked, Tango became more and more frustrated within the little trap the scarf had seemingly set for him, and finally, giving up, threw the whole mass of red away-- now, the scarf itself was wrapped tightly around Frey's neck; it was the loose ends that Tango had been playing with. These ends caught on an unsuspecting stranger's bag in the most difficult way imaginable, and Freyja didn't even noticed.
Until she walked far enough for the thing to tighten at her neck, and she was literally forced back- making a wierd cough noise as she tried to catch the stranger's attention.
There was a tug albeit ever so slightly. "Oh," the small sound was created at the realization as the sensation caused Syndra to pause. Looking over her shoulder as to not pull on whatever created such a feeling her eyes met with the trail of red that connected the metallic clasp on her bag with the a stranger's neck. For a moment the female trainer stood there admiring the beautiful red that the scarf was only to be pulled back into reality by a cough. "Oh!" she said again this time louder as she became aware of the situation. Walking a step towards the other person to slacken the stress, she moved to loosen the grip her bag had on the long piece of cloth. "I'm sorry I didn't even notice."

[attr="class","abar"] "No shit," Freyja snarled the second her neck wasn't being tugged at and she had a little room to breathe. She wasn't technically mad at the stranger, or the fact that she had been slightly hurt by the coincidence, but rather because of the fact that her scarf seemed to have a little mess up in the stitching now. Her eyes squinted fiercely at the little hole that could hardly be noticed under normal circumstances.
It could have easily be taken that she was pissed off at the stranger, when in reality the true culprit's beady eyes could be seen from Freyja's shoulder, glancing from the green haired woman to the scarf and then hiding behind the girl's short curtain of hair again in shame.
Freyja took the material back like it was diamond ring and practically sniffed it for security before given a gruff nod of approval. "Not your fault, yeah. Tango's, prolly." Her eyes shifted, almost wary of a stranger. It had been many years of her life stuck with people dressed in the same uniform- she wasn't sure if to great the girl with a salute or what.
She sharply turned her head to meet the cyndaquil perched on her shoulder, the glare from before showing in her eyes yet again. "Bad Tango."
The cyndaquil didn't budge, and instead glared right back, which caused its trainer to smile a little, despite the fact that the grin looked funny in itself. She turned back to the stranger, the same lopsided expression on her face. Awkwardness, no need to say, ensued.
The initial response had the trainer taken aback as she swiftly let go of the red scarf to prevent the other female from getting even more upset. Of course Syndra thought that the stranger was mad at her based on what was said. It was an honest mistake but the green haired girl winced regardless bracing for another round of scolding. That said the brunette seemed more worried about the scarf than anything else. Syndra figured that the scarf was important to her but said nothing further as she stood there placidly, now looking over the other person's features. Admittedly she was rather pretty and the small pokemon on her shoulder only added to that.
Eventually the other person would amend that it was her Cyndaquil's fault and switch to scolding the fire type instead. "Ah I'm still sorry. Your scarf is really nice and all." Her tone remained somewhat apologetic. Looking between the pokemon and its trainer though the green haired girl's lips curled upwards slightly. She decided to introduce herself out of courtesy, "I'm Syndra."

"Thanks, I like the scarf as well," Freyja said, smiling at the green haired girl. She looked about her age, too, and wait, was that, green hair?
Freyja looked at Syndra, and then she looked at her, the kind of stare you do when you're trying to threaten someone, a kind of dark and menacing glare. A glare which Tango instatly picked up and began leering at Syndra as well. "Did you say your name was Sydney?" She asked, the kind of voice that was difficult to refute, despite how silly the proposition was.
"You're the girl with the green hair," Freyja stated, once again going back to the obvious. She then began fumbling with the scarf, rummaging through the large quantity of red as though she could find a whole different dimension inside of it. Finally she found her ranger badge, and she flashed it menacingly at Syndra.
Hah, her first arrest. It felt kind of wonderful.
"You better come with me." Without warning, the raven haired ranger grabbed hold of the girl's hand, dragging her along the route in the opposite direction from where she was going, no doubt making a absolutely useless setback in her journey. But that revelation would come later.
Sydney? "N-no I said Syn-" before she could finish the sentence the other female pointed out her green hair. Pausing she reached back to run her hand through her celadon locks as if self conscious of having it stated in such a way. Within moments the stranger had practically shoved an official looking badge into her face. A shocked expression struck across the unsuspecting trainer's face. It was hard not to be shocked at such an action no matter if you were guilty or not. Regardless the expression shifted to one of befuddled bewilderment. Was she getting... arrested for something?
Great. Another bad experience with rangers.
Despite the obvious misunderstanding Syndra didn't struggle at the grasp of the other woman. Instead there was a sad look back over her shoulder at the direction she was headed. Heaving a sigh she walked reluctantly along. Part of her somewhere was frightened at the aspect of such a mix up. What if it wasn't rectified? What if she had to do jail time for something she didn't do just because of her green hair and have to rot? In her heart it petrified her. Outwardly however she tried to keep calm as she mentally went over how to fix this. Or how incompetent rangers were in her eyes so far... she couldn't tell really. After a minute she did try to talk though. "Um not sure how to break this to you but my name is Syndra... dra as in like Seadra? But Syndra." Not that she would think that the other person would believe her as the coincidence of hair color and similar names were too convenient.

Damn straight the badge was official looking. Freyja secretly reveled in the priceless expression the stranger gave her. At least, she tried to make it seem secret; in reality the dark grin was only partially hidden underneath her red scarf, and her eyes told all. Despite acting like an amused child, Freja was a little set off by things related to law and breaking it, and so the grasp she held on the other woman was far from loose.
"Huh?" was the only unintelligible grunt Syndra would here from Freyja. But to her credit, the raven haired ranger did stop in her tracks to look at the girl. The look was a glare, the kind usually intended to stare deep into someone, but Freyja was not a people person.
"Isn't that a really weak lie?" she asked, her tone unimpressed and her expression showing no signs of changing to something softer or more understanding. Tango kept his eyes on the girl was well, except his eyes were more curious.
But the aura the girl radiated wasn't a criminalesque one, and if there was something about Freyja it was that she trusted her gut. She tried to put those thoughts aside and dragged the girl along a little farther, mind set into mild conflict.
"I can't believe you, even if you're right," she finally said, but even as the words formed they sounded silly. The thought she was trying to convey might have been obvious, but the way they were expressed wasn't exactly something you'd expect from a ranger.
"Because..." Freyja tried to go on, but then something caught her off guard. A little speck of green in the distance, in the middle of the forest that sat beside the route.
"Was that...?" her voice trailed off, leaving the question unsaid.
Syndra did not know what to make of this. What exactly did this person do to cause this scarfed ranger to grip her wrist so tightly? It felt like a vice grip and the grinning didn't help all too much either. The ranger did finally stop and eye contact was made but this only caused a hint of embarrassment to flush on her cheeks with a bashful step backwards. The skepticism was to be expected and the girl figured that whoever this Syndey was must have been a hard criminal for the other to be so rigid. Then again she wasn't sure what she should have expected.
Whatever the case may have been there was no use arguing about it. Sure the brunette's words were flawed however she wasn't in much of a position to say anything. No use in not trying right? "Um well," she started softly and hesitantly, "if I was really this person you claim I am why would I give you my name... or anything close to it?" Not that it mattered. The force on her arm being pulled further along had her legs follow to not feel the pain of resisting. So instead Syndra took the time to look around her and observe the surroundings rather than continuing with the charade that this was.
As Freyja's voice trailed off mid sentence Syndra turned back to her captor to see what was wrong. Following her gaze down the trail there was an out of place green color. She blinked and then looked back to the scarfed female. "You should hurry," It was said in a tone meant to spark the other's sense of duty. With a one armed shrug she continued. "Or you could stay here with me. I guess I don't mind."
Not sure if you want to end it here or not. I'll leave that up to you since this is your route thread

Freyja zoned out, wondering with growing anxiety if she had made the wrong decision after all. She probably had, and the sinking realization definitely did punch her pride a little. In the gut, maybe. But what was more important was the fact that it was more entertaining to go and chase down a real fugitive. She knew from what the girl said that Syndra was not the real one, but letting her go would have been silly. Now, however, it made sense. She snorted a little and turned to look at Syndra, eyes locking.
"Syndra, huh?" She paused, assessing the girl for a bit and shooting her a quick, apologetic glance. "You're pretty funny," she finally added, like it was a compliment. It probably was intended to be one. She smirked a little and before anyone could tell what she was going to do, Freyja had dashed off towards the forest, running at the kind of speed you can only see in someone who took their gym classes pretty seriously. The bumpy ride made Tango fall out of her scarf, and the fiery red duo was off, dashing into the forest at a breakneck pace.
