welcome to calamity! we are an au pokemon site based in hoenn. we do not have canons so you can pick them as your fcs! we have a short one hundred word word count. and you get to also pick your own starter! calamity is going to focus on providing users with a good and stable plot line to follow. this helps each character progress and some might even have a play in affecting the plot! we hope you enjoy your time here and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Michi gracefully sat down on a patch of grass the grew next to a large tree. The shade from the tree was lovely, and the breeze that passed every so often gave her great delight. The gentle chirping of her fletchling made the experience that much better.
She hadn't been traveling for so long that she needed to rest. Her little pit stop was purely a business venture. She thought she could trade her services as a TM tutor for a little information about the Gym leader of the next city.
As she waited for someone to stop by, she played with her little bird Pokemon. Even if no one showed up, she would be perfectly content with staying there for a longer time.

"Alright Dani; I've only got you for about a week, so let's get down to business!" It wasn't an exciting experience, keeping one of Usa's pokemon and showing it around. It bit him alot, instead of the kisses it gave Usagi. Ouch! "H-hey!" But no matter how well he treated it, Dani bit him all the same.
He was passing by along the way to Petalburg from Professor Birch's lab. He'd gotten word that his parents sent him a small package of his belongings, meant to arrive with him, but that it had somehow gotten delayed. They sent the feather! I can't believe they thought to do that. It gave him something to show Usagi later.
He passed by a lonesome girl, sitting beneath a tree, with a pokemon Dmitri had never seen before. Dani flitted around and attacked it with a kiss; the other pokemon seemed perturbed, but also amused by the display. Oh, so strangers get kisses but I don't!? He sighed, and waved to the little girl.
"My name's Dmitri, this is my friend's Zubat, Dani. Nice to meet you..."...whoever you are. He wondered what they were doing out here all alone, but perhaps it was best not to intrude on her business. It was rude enough Dani had to go and butt in to somebody else's business.

Don't worry about it, Michi replied kindly, Your Zubat seems quite friendly, and my little Gale didn't seem all too bothered by the kiss. She moved her hands to the rock and pushed herself into a standing position. My name is Michi, it is nice to meet you Dmitri.
She walked towards the man. May I trouble you for some information, she asked politely, I would like to know all that you know about the Gym Leader of Petalberg. I will teach your Zubat a nifty move called Roost. With that, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a sky-blue colored disk. Waving it the air, she smiled as she waited for Dmitri's response.

How psyched would Usagi be if I gave him back Dani with a new move?! It was the ticket he needed to get just that much closer to Usagi. He quickly filtered through what Syndra, a passing trainer, had told him about the Gym Leader Norman of Petalburg.
"Let's see... obviously he uses Normal-types, and his ringer is a Slakoth. It's powerful, but it loafs around a lot." There wasn't much else he knew, other than what he recalled from his first attempt against the gym leader's team.
"He has a Litleo or something. It's got the Fire-typing as well as Normal, so careful with any Grass or Steel-types." Or Bug-types... Poor Bowser had been reduced to a crisp for his negligent behavior. That was about all he knew.
"So, what kind of move is Roost?" It didn't sound like it would do much offensively, but it intrigued him. Maybe it had a hidden utility, or simply some sort of ulterior purpose. Either way, he was determined to have Dani learn it. I should text Usa now and surprise him... But he wanted to save it for the next time he saw him in person.

Michi smiled as the trainer began to unload all that he knew about the Gym Leader on her. This is perfect. She made sure to note all that he said. A Slakoth and a... a fire/normal type would make it a Litleo, or its evolved form. Sounds dangerous.
Thank you trainer. She assumed the guy was a trainer because of the type of information he gave. She slowly made her way back to the rock and perched on it. Pouting her lips to whistle, she called for her fletchling. The tiny bird flew around and landed on her lap in response. As she explained what roost was, she gently rubbed fletchling's head. Roost is a flying-type move that allows the user to recover up to half the amount of its overall health. It is very handy for a Pokemon when they need to shake off the damage they received in a battle. She stretched her arm out, signalling Zubat to come forth. As soon as the Pokemon did, she rubbed the TM against it. The CD began to glow brightly. 1...2...3...All done! Zubat now knows Roost. She smiled as she gently lifted her hand for the tiny bat to fly.

"Thank you, thank you! Usagi is going to love this!" He caught Dani from the air and held her close to his cheek, and she obviously sank her teeth into him. Ow. But it felt a bit more gentle than normal, perhaps Dani was pleased with him? Who knows. Maybe she just liked the taste of his blood.
"Well, I need to get going. Lots of things that need to be done. Are you headed towards Petalburg too?" If they were headed the same way, perhaps they'd like to accompany each other. Her pokemon and Dani seemed to get along, so letting them play for awhile longer seemed like a fair exchange for making them wait.

Michi brought her hand up to her mouth to cover her subtle laughter. This man is kind of cute. He reminded her of a puppy that ran around excited after you tossed it a ball. Simply adorable. I am going to Petalburg, she replied, Perhaps I will take you up on your offer. Maybe I will get to meet this Usa that you speak of. She was clearly teasing Dmitri. I understand that you are busy, and I would like to see if I can gather more information about the gym leader. It was a tremendous pleasure to meet you Dmitri. She extended her hand for a handshake in a traditional, ladylike manner. Perhaps we can keep in touch and meet at another time...

"Oh, okay. Well then, maybe we can keep in touch." Exchanging a handshake, he grabbed her hand and pulled out a non-toxic pen. He scribbled on it, quickly jotting down his number. That way she can't forget it. Maybe one day she'd call him up about another TM she'd found.
"Well then, be seeing you!" He waved goodbye, setting down the road and leaving Michi to her business. He held out a finger for Dani, who landed on it before he resettled her on his shoulder. She clung to him and started climbing into his hair, which he thought was cute but troubling.
Please, please don't poo in my hair.
"That was fun, wasn't it, Dani?" He began dialing Usagi's number, eager to share the news.
"Hey, Usa! You won't believe this... how soon can we meet up?" He was sounding more cheery every second, hoping to draw out the suspense to surprise Usagi later that night with his gift.
