"No! I cannot go down like Wurmple! I must continue to fight!" The Bug Type shrieked as the pecks came flying out at it, it barely kept consciousness, it quickly scuttled towards Natu doing the last moves it could dish out, two last slashes to avenge his brethren.
Noticing how wore down she was getting, Gwen sent Hops images indicating she should fight more conservatively. Pictures of the Night Shade she'd used earlier were conjured up, and Natu responded appropriately. Taking a hop back she narrowed her eyes at the opponent, summoning a ghostly force while dodging the first scractch. Afterwards the second one came up fierce and fast, knocking Hops onto her back.
Up, take it out! the thought was quick, and Hops's reaction was quicker. She popped up onto her feet before charging forward, attempting to land a knockout blow with her beak, wincing as the poison surged in her chest once more.

Paras flopped over on it's side, his pride was shattered, his exoskeleton broken, and most importantly the battle lost. It let out small cries before it faded into the dark shadows of its own mind, where it would lay until it woke up, if it would ever wake up agian.
Paras fainted! Natu gains three levels! Capture? Continue?
The Paras fell, and Hops nearly did too. Wobbling on her feet, she let out a weak chirrup before hopping over to Gwen's side. The poison left her looking a bit faded, and she seemed uncomfortable even making the short trip. Pity filled Gwen's chest as she pulled out the Full Heal and sprayed it into the Natu's little mouth. A swallow and she looked better, but Gwen still felt uncomfortable leaving her out like this.
I want to try something else with you, but you're going to take a break from battling, okay? she'd expected resistance, but Hops was happy to take a break. She hopped up onto Gwen's arm and climbed up until she was back to her shoulder once again. Gwen grinned at her, ruffling the feathers on her head with a single finger before reaching for another pokeball at her belt. She knew she'd promised Hops he wouldn't show up, but he needed a bit of training too.
I'm going to send out Close, okay? Just stay calm, he's your friend now, Hops responded with plenty of panicked images, but eventually resigned herself to the idea. When the Litleo was released this panic surged once more, but quickly subsided as Gwen sent her own flow of soothing thoughts. Afterwards she got straight to what she wanted to try. Thinking through Hops, she tried to make contact with Litleo.
Can you hear me? the question was simple and got a simple answer, a low growl from Close confirmed that this new plan was indeed plausible. How useful this would be.
OOC: okay Zerk, last one!

Gulpin was rolling around being the fat lard he usually was, that's when it spotted Gwen. The Pokemon was starstruck by the girls appearance and quickly rolled up next to her, he then began to jiggle in what he thought was the most sexy way possible.
Gulpin appeared! Gulpin is trying to impress Gwen!
Slimy blob pokemon had always made Gwen uncomfortable. Most of the time they were gross in appearance, many times they smelled, and for whatever reason a good number of them were very personal in contact. It was a strange mix that made her stomach turn. So, the sight of the Gulpin strolling up to the group of three made Gwen a little bit sick. Its dance didn't help in the slightest.
I want to clean this one up fast. Get yourself ready quietly Close," she sent her thoughts through Hops and to her Litleo, who sent back a form of affirmative before growling quietly in the background. Anger surged within him at the sight of this stain on the ground. Even without Gwen's orders his sense of Rivalry would have urged him to Work Up anyway.
Meanwhile Hops and Gwen kept their eyes locked on the Gulpin and its dance. Both were revolted.

Gulpin continued jiggling, until it noticed Litleo getting all riled up, he quickly yawned at the Pokemon, and then yawned again. Ain't nobody getting the way of Gulpin and Gwen. "Guuulp."
Gulpin used Yawn on Litleo! Gulpi used Yawn on Litleo!
Properly worked up and ready to fight, Close struck. Baring his teeth he jumped forward, moving to ram the opponent with a Headbutt. The motion exposed him to not just one, but both Yawns, and soon he was yawning too. Still he pushed forward, jumping again and swinging with a Headbutt once more. Afterwards he tottered on his feet, on the edge of sleep.

"Awh yee girl, don't you just love this jiggling? Doesn't it get you all excited. . ." Gulpin muttered as it continued shaking and jiggling. "All of this can be yours." He added as he wiggled and jiggled. He was then hit by Litleo unsuspectingly and was flung far into the forest landing with a SPLAT somewhere. Definitely unconscious.
Gulpin fainted! Litleo gains two levels! That's all three wilds!
One new pokemon and a bit of training wasn't half bad for one trip to the forest. Gwen considered sticking around to train, but with Hops beaten up how she was and Close asleep on his feet she figured it would be better to head back to town before doing anything more out in the woods. Especially if there were any stronger pokemon to be found within.
"Back in you go guys," she spoke to her pokemon, pulling out their pokeballs before returning one and then the other. Now she just had to walk back to the exit. Hopefully nothing would show up. . .
