"Argh, can't even get the door open. Broski, gimme a hand here!" Dmitri has been out all day, buying snacks and soda pop and other goodies for the night ahead. The invitations were already sent, well most of them, and he was expecting quite the turn out. Hopefully nobody ditched him last minute. It would ruin him; but he didn't care to think about that, not now that he was so busy.
Broski pushed his girth against the door, forcing its way through. "Thanks, pal." He might've gave Broski a quick pat, but his hands were full.
Hmmm. Am I forgetting someone? He'd invited Andrea, Sylvester, Risu, and intended to invite Usagi. Maybe Kris? But he wanted to make sure he had accomodations enough for more, just in case. I rented out an entire suite, I hope they bring over a few guests. Oh! And the pokemon will be hungry. Already Broski was sniffing at the snacks, and Dmitri had to shoo him away.
From: Sylvester:I won't be coming. Not my sort of thing.
Suddenly Dmitri was in full panic, he'd already prepared several rooms and sleeping bags just in case someone forgot their own. And the amount of furniture lying around, surely there was enough room for them all. But if nobody showed up, it would've all been for nothing.
To: Usagi:I'm having a sleepover in a hotel in Slateport, and you're invited!~ I rented out the suite for the night; won't you come over? Sylvester's already said no, and I bought all this stuff...
Anyways, I need food for the pokemon coming over. Can you recommend a place? I'd like to see you there, too, so you can help me with the shopping. I already invited Risu... I hope you're not upset, I wasn't sure if I should ask something like this so suddenly.<3 xoxo
Dmitri collapsed onto a couch, stroking Broski's belly and taking a moment to relax. I've still got plenty of time until anyone shows up. Eyes darted to a slim television hung up on the wall, but were movies included? Plucking the remote off the coffee table before him, he flicked through a few channels before confirming most of it required a rental fee. Figures. I'll have to pick up a few dvds too. This was quickly becoming more of a chore.
Still, what better way to celebrate the end of such a controversial event as the summer gala they'd all attended a few days prior? He couldn't think of a better opportunity to reminisce and put to rest all the anxieties that night gave them.
Standing up to leave, he hoped to meet Usagi somewhere at the base of the hotel, to go shopping for more supplies. He left Broski at the suite, where he left the door locked and Broski in a bubble bath, splashing about and making waves while swinub too tried to relax and prepare for the sleepover, and more pressingly, Andrea-senpai.

Usa Keji We're gonna do a bit of an exposition before we actually get things rolling. Afterwards I'll start tagging everyone else, if that's okay?<3 'Cause Dmitri needs more alone time with Usa.<3 Imma try to get seven people in here so title is also punny.
Usa's Pokenav went off, alerting him to the arrival of a new message. Startled from the sudden vibration in his back-pocket, his eyes shot open as hequickly reached for the item. I forgot I had that set to vibrate.
He softly tapped a button that turned the screen on. A message from Dmitri. Usa's face lit up, and a smile quickly grew on his face. Dmitri was having a sleepover. Exciting! He'd never been to one of those before. And, as far as he could remember, neither had Risu. Ideas about what to bring raced through his head. Extra clothes. Food? A toothbrush...So, much stuff, where should I even start!? He slowly walked over to a bench that overlooked the beach and sat down. Leonidas followed suit by hopping up next to him. The Pokemon stared out at the sea while Usa continued to think. Hmm, perhaps responding to the message might be a good place to start Usa...He chuckled softly as he reached over to give his Absol a back rub. This prompted the Pokemon to let out a gleeful roar.
As Usa began to type, his lips slowly curled into a smile...
To: Dmitri: Attachment: <<Map_Slateport_Market.png>>
Hi Tri : )
A sleepover sounds fun! I've never been to one, but I've read they can be fun. In a few stories, they played a game called Spin the Bottle! Have you ever played it?Can we play it? Hmm, maybe not. Some of those books ended up being not so PG, now that I think back.
Anyways, I'm not too familiar with Slateport, but I've read that they have a famous market that sells a variety of things. Perhaps that's a good place to start?
I'm at the beach doing a little one-on-one training with Absol right now, but I would be happy to meet up today! : D
I can meet you at the marketplace. I attached a map of Slateport that has the location of market outlined. Let's meet at the front entrance. It's closest to the Pokemon Centre.
Err, sorry if the nickname threw you off. I'm just trying it out ; ). Because you're taller than me, and trees are also taller than me, it made perfect sense in my head...lol : P. See you soon!
There, message sent, he hummed. Now all that was left, was for him to message Risu about the sleepover.

Dmitri was already headed out the hotel and out towards the pokemon center; the only pokemon with him were skorupi and abra, neither of which seemed to care for the idea of a sleepover. He figured they deserved a treat all the same, so he wanted to pick up something nifty for both. *Bzzt. Bzzt.* A text?
Who would it have been other than Usa? He eagerly opened the message, his heart skipping a beat when he saw the display name. Please say yes, please... Dmitri wanted to jump when he read the first few lines; he would be paying a visit after all! Usa also sent a useful map and gave him an adorable nickname. He's too cute, sometimes. The fact Usa felt compelled to explain the nickname made him question why he was the dork.
His reply was short and precise, littered with enthusiasm and adoration for his friend's acceptance. Dmitri pressed send, and continued.
I'm so glad! I'll be there soon, I just left the hotel. Can't wait to see what you're wearing. You're always such a sharp dresser! Consider it a date! C u soon.~
Sent from Dmitri
Dmitri practically sprinted towards the market's entrance, noticing the amount of passersby carrying massive bags of groceries and other goods. Something smells good. He could see Usa ahead, and he waved before catching up. They seemed to arrive at the exact same moment.
"USA!~" Dmitri flung himself towards Usa, arms spread wide and tackling him chest-to chest. Pressing his cheek against Usa's, he gave him a quick, strong hug before pulling away. His eyes slid down and back up again; I need him to start picking my outfits. He noticed Leonidas out of the corner of his eye as he inspected Usa's pants fervently. He did mention Absol on the phone.
"My, aren't you looking tougher every time I see you! Must have been the j- er... training!" He was going to say jerky, but he wasn't sure if feeding Leonidas junk food would offend Usa. Still, he was looking strong, and he deluded himself into believing it was the protein in his diet. Dmitri reached an arm around Usa's back and rested his hand on the opposite shoulder, steering them into the market. "So how've you been since then?"
Dmitri meant the gala, which was alarming when it happened. Since then he'd managed to be more at ease about the tragedy, but would be more vigilant about accepting free invitations. Suddenly his sleepover seemed like it would attract suspicion.
At the sound of his name being called, Usa spun himself around. His eyes shot open at the sight of Dmitri sprinting towards him with arms wide open. Though he was elated, he couldn't help the slightly embarrassed expression on his face. What a dork... The thought made him smile from ear to ear. Usa quickly opened his arms to catch Dmitri in his embrace.
There it is again, that scent... His face turned a bright red as, in the brief moment of their embrace, he managed to catch whiff of Dmitri's clothes. It brought him back to their slow dance at the Gala. Why do I like this scent so much?
Dmitri quickly pulled away, pulling Usa back to reality. He nervously grinned as the fear of Dmitri realizing what just happened, grabbed him. Usa felt awkward, and to quickly end that awkwardness, he blurted out a question. So, where do you want to go first!? Almost as if he sensed Usa's discomfort, Dmitri flung his arms around his shoulder. This made Usa feel slightly less on edge. I've been good. How to handle crisis situations like those are drilled in us at the Ranger Academy. I can't say I wasn't spooked at the time though. I guess I still have ways to go before I can consider myself better than the average cadet. He smiled softly as he shifted the topic of the conversation to Dmitri. How are you? I couldn't find you or Risu during the entire debacle. I was so worried...
Post by Dmitri Khvostov on Jul 28, 2015 22:14:47 GMT
"You don't need to worry about me. Just keep your head held high, and don't bother with worrying." He shook Usa lightly, trying to sound reassuring. In truth the event had been a little overwhelming, but it went down just fine. In fact, there was speculation the event hadn't gone quite nearly as well as planned for Magma. "How about we look around for a candy stand, give ourselves a treat?~" Something to keep him distracted from the gala. It was why he'd been throwing the sleepover, he craved distraction.
He tugged Usa along, conveniently finding a snack stand that had lollipops strung along the side of the posts keeping their sign up. He couldn't read the language it was written in, but he could understand the spoken language. One of the quirks of being foreign. "Two, please." Exchanging coinage with the lollipops, he handed one to Usa and plucked the wrapper off his own. He stuck it in the corner of his mouth, which made him sound funny.
"Do pokemon have desserts? I was hoping to treat them, too. Broski's back at the hotel, taking a bubble bath for the occasion." He chuckled, shuffling the loli from one cheek to the other with a flick of the tongue. Dmitri tried to let Usa point the way, since he wasn't sure what PokeFood looked like still. There were those cubes back at the gala... Everything came back to the gala; it was going to drive him up a wall.
Usa gave Dmitri an angry glare. What do you mean don't worry about you? he retorted, Of course I'm gonna worry about you... Pressing a clenched fist against Dmitri's heart, he spoke calmly but sternly: You can take care of yourself. Cool. But, at least let me know that you're okay, cause I'm gonna worry regardless...
He dropped his hand to his side and then attempted to walk away. Dmitri, however, had him firmly gripped. Shaking him. Why do people think shaking somebody when they're upset, is okay? It's like they're saying forget about your feelings. Your feelings don't matter. Dmitri's attempt at making him feel better, only made him more upset. But, Usa said nothing further about the matter. He only relaxed his face and gave an emotionless stare.
Candy sounds good... he replied with little zest. I'm sure they can eat the same sweets that we eat... he responded, adding nothing further to the conversation. He remained silent, only responding sharply to whatever Dmitri said...
He adjusted his backpack almost out of instinct. Inside it was a Pokemon egg he got from an attendant at the gala. Fiddling with the straps of his bag distracted him from how upset he was.
Post by Dmitri Khvostov on Jul 31, 2015 0:28:57 GMT
No, no, this isn't right... He'd imagined Usa giving him a disarming smile and laughing happily, but things hardly ever go perfectly as planned. Veering off to the side, he took a moment to box him and Usa into a corner and tried to express himself more clearly. '...I'm gonna worry regardless...'
Yeah. I would, too, even though you're a Ranger...
"Look, Usa." He placed either hand on his opposite's shoulders, bracing them together. "I'm just trying to be tough, like most guys in typical relationships. Put on a face, pretend everything's okay..." Sighing, he dropped his hands to his sides, before bringing them back together and poking his index fingers together repeatedly. His cheeks flushed deep pink just then.
"I just... really want this to work out, y'know? Us. Together..." Dmitri wrapped an arm around to the nape of his neck, rubbing it and grinning. "I'm sorry if I upset you. I just... don't like the thought of you worrying, is all. I'm fine, really." He looked down, wondering if a little heart-to-heart would even get them anywhere. Oh gosh, I'm being such a dork again... Smiling, he looked back up at Usa's face expectantly, a question expressed by his look alone. Can you... Forgive me? Please?
He tried to give Usa a moment to rebuttal, before tugging him along towards the rest of the market. He could listen to him along the way if it was a winded response, and leisurely look for anything the guests might look forward to seeing at the party. I wonder if they have anything from back home here. An authentic homeland dish would be just the sort of thing to give Dmitri some comfort and help bring him and his new friends together for something special. Maybe they'd like pierogies?
Usa's heart began to race. His cheeks quickly turned a bright red as each touch from Dmitri sent unfamiliar sensations rushing through his body. He tried to avoid eye contact, but found himself staring only at Dmitri's chest. He felt weird about this fact, but couldn't help himself. He was upset and nervous, all at the same time. Why was being boxed in by Dmitri, and having him so close, having such a weird effect on him? Usa didn't know the answer, and that scared him. It scared him because reason and logic, and always having the answer, were the things that comforted him the most. And, these feelings he was having, were not rational at all. Why was he upset? Why was he so nervous? Why was he so fearful that something might have happened to Dmitri during the gala fiasco?
The sudden rush of emotions made him feel woozy. The fact that he was sandwiched between a wall and Dmitri's body, didn't help either. He attempted to respond when Dmitri spoke. But, he found himself being quieted by the loud pitter patter of his heart. All he could do was listen quietly to every word that Dmitri said.
A sudden feeling of regret washed over him. He wanted Dmitri to understand how he was feeling, but all he managed to do was hurt him. How could he fix it? How could he make the situation better?
An overwhelming sensation came over him. His body was telling him how to fix it, and for the first time, he intended to listen. He intended to momentarily do away with rationality and logic, and just act. He slowly leaned forward and went up on his toes. As he moved in closer, he pouted his lips for a ki...
He suddenly found himself being tugged out of the corner and into the open by Dmitri. His entire body tensed as his face took on an awkward expression. That was...that was...that was so EMBARRASSING!!!
Post by Dmitri Khvostov on Aug 1, 2015 21:09:31 GMT
He couldn't take how red-faced Usa was getting; it honestly made him embarrassed, too. Instead he'd tug them through the myriad of passages leading around the market. They'd managed to come across a pokemon merchandiser who imparted him with several boxes chock full of pokeblocks of varying berries. They smell like fruity marshmallows. His stomach growled, a reminder that dinner time was rapidly approaching. Oh crud, I need to hurry!
He crunched on his lollipop, something he did unconsciously that usually boded ill for his teeth. But somehow, tonight, it would be to his benefit.
"Hey, Usa, have you ever tried a pierogie before? Do they have those here in Hoenn?" Looking around a pastry and bakery was fruitless; the most they managed to have were donuts, strudels, and other desserts. He was looking for something with a little more sustenance and a different kind of flavor than sugary sweets.
"They're like little folded up pasta shells with stuff inside. You fry 'em up and ta-da, they're ready to eat! ... Do you think anybody might like them?" Dmitri's expression betrayed him with a pout, hoping for a yes even if the answer was no; he guiltily asked them on special order from a baker, who said it may take anywhere from half an hour to a full hour depending on preparation time.
So, nothing to do but sit here with Usa.~ Ashamed he hadn't let the other suggest on any particular groceries, he tried to sound more interested in what Usa had to say. "H-hey..." He wanted to ask him something to solidify why he'd felt the need to bring him along, surely being his lackey and bag-carrier wasn't eventful at all. Usa didn't come here to have his time wasted by some boring dork! But he panicked, and the best he managed to ask Usa was, unfortunately:
"...Are you finished with your lolli?" Flushing pink, he turned away and ducked down, realizing how silly he was being. It felt like being a kindergarten kid all over again, asking stupid things and whatnot. I always get like this around you, Usa... But he invited him regardless, because the feeling was giddy and playful on the inside. Even if Usa called him a dork, it was better than not calling him anything at all. His eyebrows furled as he saw the time on his wristwatch. Need to get back soon.
Well, in his hurry, and the need to alleviate the tension, he did something most wouldn't have done. Sitting up he flashed his teeth and bit at the lollipop's exposed handle, encasing it in his mouth. His lips eased down and slowly wriggled their way closer to Usa's own. Dmitri blushed so hotly his face seemed like it may melt, but seeing Usa this close... he pressed forward that final segment... and kissed him gently, almost a teasing gesture.
Still flushed from his close encounter with Dmitri's lips, Usa remained quiet, only nodding yes or no to the questions asked. His gaze remained fixed on the ground and his hands stayed clasped together in front of him. As he walked a step behind Dmitri, his mind began to wonder. What would have happened if we kissed? Would it be something I would enjoy? Would Dmitri enjoy it? Is a kiss something for you to enjoy? Do I know how to kiss properly? How do I know if I can? If I can't, how do I learn? His face appeared conflicted as each thought dragged him deeper into the dungeons of his mind.
After sitting down beside Dmitri, he tucked a loose strand of hair behind his ear and then rested his hands on his lap. He had lost all sense of his surrounding as scenes of what might have been (if they kissed) played in his mind. This was perhaps why, when Dmitri asked about the lollipop that he had even forgotten was still in his mouth, he didn't respond. This was perhaps the reason that when Dmitri's soft lips pressed against his own, it took him by surprise.
His eyes shot open as he watched Dmitri retreat to his side of the bench they were sitting on. His heart stopped for a moment, but then began to pound faster. Out of reflex, he dropped his gaze and turned to look in the other direction. His cheeks turned a bright red as he combed his fingers through the side of his hair. He didn't know what to say or what to do, so he sat there quietly with a bashful expression.
Post by Dmitri Khvostov on Aug 4, 2015 4:09:25 GMT
Leaning into Usa, he chuckled softly. "I like the way your cheeks go rosey when I'm with you, so please don't look away..." Hopefully Usa could learn to relax around him, he was finally starting to feel at ease and himself after all. Maybe he's just not used to public displays of affection? It was common to him, but not for Usa evidently. I didn't mean to...
"Ah well, it looks like I've gone and embarrassed you again. I'm sorry." He rubbed his hand along Usa's right side, pulling him closer tenderly. We're almost done here... Food, snacks, including assorted edibles for the pokemon. Guess that leaves entertainment? Dmitri doubted they would be happily received with anything less than a few party games or movies to stave off sleep for the first few hours. "Hey, should I buy a movie? For the sleepover, I mean." Horror? Comedy? Action?! Many questions, but little time.
"And maybe some games?" He paused, staring at Usa quizzically when he suddenly realized: I've never thrown a sleepover before. This is going to be disastrous. He always was a worry-wart, Dmitri. Pressing himself against Usa was a healthy distraction though, and he relished in the warmth.
Usa chuckled at Dmitri's little confession. He likes the way my cheeks go rosey? Ugh! I didn't realize they were doing that (><)... A faint smile grew on his face as he turned to playfully push Dmitri away. Stop being such a goofball... he replied softly. As he turned to look of in the distance, he pouted his lips and uttered: You don't have to apologize for stuff like that... His cheeks turned red again. He slowly reached over and grabbed Dmitri's hand. Squeezing it gently, he glanced over at him and then returned his gaze to off in the distance. A scary movie would be good cause then the couples there could cuddle during the scary parts...
Releasing his grip on Dmitri's hand, he hopped to his feet. He tucked his arms behind his back and turned to look at Dmitri. Games would be fun. But, I think for an older crowd a simple deck of cards or something would be best... He flashed a smile and then ran off to a small convenience store he spotted, that was across the street.
Post by Dmitri Khvostov on Aug 7, 2015 7:43:26 GMT
Dmitri leaned against Usa's shoulder when he felt the other grasp his hand so firmly. He's such a cutesy, I can hardly stand being this close without putting my paws all over him... "Fine then, I won't apologize." But he restrained himself and gave a wry grin at the mention of scary movies for couples to cuddle during. "Eager to move on to cuddling so soon, are we?" He pressed himself closer to Usa, leeching his heat before Usa absconded from him. Where is he going...? Dmitri jumped to his feet briskly, just a few short steps behind Usa.
Dmitri didn't mind tailing him, it was practically a reward in itself, watching Usa frolicking towards another store. Dmitri's eyes were wandering far, and he quickly found himself daydreaming when he bumped into Usa, who'd stopped abruptly before Dmitri could've realized. "Whoopsie!"
"Cards sound fun, we can play Poker or Kalos Hold 'Em." He crept up behind Usa and scooting towards the blond, laced a hand around the small of his back. When he said hold 'em, apparently he'd meant it quite literally. Dmitri craned his neck around, looking for a movie rack. "Hmmm..."
"Child's Play or Babadook?" There was a shanty collection of movies labeled lazily with notepads, with barely a selection to speak of. But there were more than enough horror movies lining the shelf.
That's when he looked at the clock and realized they were running behind. Oh crap! He'd been losing track of time the more he peered into what made Usa, well... Usa. He grabbed the latter movie in a hurry before placing them at the clerk's hands.
"I should've brought Pancham around to help carry some of these things..." *Huff* *Pant* He was beginning to feel over-encumbered by the sheer amount of shopping he was doing. "We still have to go back for the baker's shop, too..."
I'm not going to make it... *Huff* *Huff* *Pant* *Pant* Dmitri's face flushed a vibrant shade of cherry red, worse than Usa's blushing, from his exertion. Food, more food, the movies, and some party drinks all weighed down on his lithe physique, crippling the rate at which he could walk to a sluggish crawl. "H-help... I'm going to...!"
Stumbling forward he crashed into Usa, bringing them both tumbling down with Dmitri pressing into Usa with such force he lost his breath. He winced at the sound of his groceries clambering across the ground, but even so he struggled to breathe, making some of the most embarrassing sounds as his diaphragm adjusted. He could feel Usa's warmth against his body, and for the first time Dmitri was genuinely embarrassed in front of Usa. He buried his face against Usa's tummy, struggling to cope with the situation. You idiot, idiot, idiot! Aaagh! Dmitri teared up refusing to look at Usa, baffled by this sudden case of severe clumsiness.
"A-are you okay?" His words were muffled, his lips buried in Usa's clothes. He peeked, a single eye leering guiltily at Usa, hoping to find anything but angry eyes returning a cold stare against him.
LAIKA OF GANGNAM STYLE
Usa Keji ;w; usa so kawaii~ but dmitri so dorky and clumsy; hope usa still luv him.<3 ;~;
The panic in Dmitri's voice made Usa's heart drop. He quickly spun around, just in time to see Dmitri hurtling towards him. He instinctively flung his arms open, hoping to save Dmitri from his tumble. But, to no avail. Dmitri collided into him sending them both plummeting to the ground.
...wha? What happened? Dazed and confused, Usa struggled to get up. But, the weight of Dmitri's body kept him pinned to the ground.
I'm alright. Are you alright? He ran his fingers up Dmitri's neck and then combed them through his short brown hair. His lips slowly curled into a smile, which then turned into a chuckle, which then grew into a burst of laughter. The hilarity of the situation was unbearable to keep in.
See, this is what happens when you try to be the tough guy and refuse to let me carry more bags. I know I'm smaller than you, but I'm pretty strong...
He ended his scolding with a warm smile and a quick kiss on Dmitri's head. Now, um, think you could get off me. You're kind of a heavy goofball...
Post by Dmitri Khvostov on Aug 8, 2015 23:28:30 GMT
Oh God, he's laughing at me. He ducked back down, obscuring Usa from his vision. He was being childish though, and he soon corrected himself when Usa asked him to move aside. Apparently he was crushing him beneath his own body.
"I-I'm sorry." Sliding off of Usa, he was kneeling on the ground just before him, his eyes red and puffy. He wasn't visibly tearing, but he felt awful after that. "Let's try to get back soon." He released a pancham from its pokeball then, and it seemed to notice the bags strewn everywhere and politely began picking a bag for itself to carry.
"Thanks, Bidada." He brushed her head lightly before standing, offering a hand to Usa and lifting him. At least he's not angry... He looked towards the bakery, and back at Usa, then towards the hotel. We've only got a few minutes... Dmitri's panic began to show on his face.
Think of the water bill Broski must be piling up while you're away... Yep, Dmitri quickly grabbed a bag in one hand, and Usa's hand in another before heaving them towards the bakery for the other supplies. "T-thanks... for being so kind to me."
