.... but he hadn't. surely he would've won against any other trainer, but no other trainer was quite like artemus.
"Gli-" the gligar was done fighting, so he was surprised to see the zorua coming his way, and had no time to dodge.
When Artemus stepped in between the two pokemon. HE took the two scratches, right to his chest, tearing the puffy cloth sticking out from his coat. now there were the fresh scratches... and a seemingly old, but at one time, very serious x shaped scar.
".... Gar? Gligar!"
So Calvin would've heard artemus exclaim in pain, not his pokemon... Artemus took hold of the zorua, holding it gently but securely, to ensure it wasn't just walking it's way back over to his trainer, or continuing to attack his gligar.
tucking the little zorua under one arm, he ran after calvin, reaching to grab him by his shirt and yank him back with the other.
"Excuse me... i'm not DONE with you yet!!" but oh no.... he wasn't looking to continue to battle. his pokemon was done fighting... he was challenging calvin himself. a 1 on 1, trainer on trainer battle. He was ready for a fistfight.
