[attr="class","agar"]She kept telling herself the beach would be waiting for her when she came back, but regardless Bunny felt herself longing for the water and the waves. Her shoulders were getting sunburnt though, and surely that much sun at once wasn't really that good for you no matter how high in number the spf was on your sunscreen. So she decided to traverse Petalburg's dense woods to explore a little, maybe even find a few new pokémon to add to her team. You never really know, right?
She hummed idly under the shadows of the large trees of the woods, wishing she had a camera. Bunny wasn't all that great of a photographer, but she felt like no matter what angle you got, this place would be beautiful. Like jeeze. How pretty could a forest get?
Diana was slithering closely beside her trainer, sometimes even twining between her legs in a silly little game. She squealed in happiness every time she made it through and never noticed how Bunny would purposely widen and slow down her steps to accommodate the dragon pokémon. It was really cute, okay? You couldn't blame her.
"I hope we find some cute friends here," Bunny said to Diana cheerfully. "I've heard this place is teeming with pokémon." The Dratini shrilled gleefully in response.

this emolga didn't appear to be particularly friendly. no, not at all. despite his round and soft appearance, his face was twisted into a dark scowl as he observed as the female invaded his territory. perched upon a low hanging tree branch, the male crossed his short arms and glared down at the human.
ah, humans. so ignorant of the forest and all its dangers. they boldly wandered upon the territories of pokemon and had very little respect for them.
"emoooo," he growled, lowly.
he voiced his displeasure loud enough for her to hear.
[attr="class","agar"]Bunny didn't notice the growl at first, too enamored in the beauty of the forest that she couldn't focus on anything else until Diana lightly grabbed her trainers foot with her tail. Bunny looked to her Dratini with a perplexed expression and then followed her gaze up to the Emolga with a quiet "oh!"
She laughed an embarrassed little chuckle as she looked up at the little electric pokémon, sheepishly calling out, "Hi there! Sorry, are we bothering you? We can leave, if you want," she pointed vaguely towards the deeper parts of the forest, hoping the Emolga wouldn't get more upset if they continued exploring.
Diana was stiffening slowly by Bunny's side, glaring up at the Emolga just in case it decided to attack. Her trainer was prepared though, with a hand casually on a pokéball behind her back and away from the Emolga's view.
despite her effort to placate the emolga, it proved to be a waste of time. the electric-types expression merely turned uglier as his gaze veered toward the dragon-type. he spat out an insult before his lips curled to form a look of terrible mirth.
"emolga!"
raising his arms, he proceed to leap toward the human, aiming with a thundershock so to harm the young female. she would need to be taught a most valuable lesson.
the wild emolga intends to attack bunny with thundershock!

[attr="class","agar"] When the tiny electric pokémon launched itself towards her, Bunny suddenly remembered the tiny pokémon egg that was nestled in her bag and covered with warm blankets. A surge of maternal instincts of some sort made her respond extra quickly, and she threw out a pokéball with wild ferocity.
Sophie shot out into the air, heading straight for the Emolga. "Tackle!" Bunny shouted as Sophie appeared, and the Deerling lowered it's head to ram into the opponent until eventually landing on the ground behind it. Sophie looked back to her trainer for guidance.
Bunny only waited a moment or two to see what the Emolga would do, and then commanded again, "Use tackle, Sophie!" The Deerling began to sprint, aiming once again for the Emolga and preparing to jump into the air should it attempt to glide off.

Sophie darted into battle with fierce determination as she glared at the Emolga while still in the air. At Bunny's command she lowered her head to tackle the tiny rodent and landed promptly on the ground behind it to see what damage her attack had done, if any at all.
She then immediately began to race towards the Emolga again when Bunny told her to, but this time she prepared to leap. This thing could fly or something, right? She should probably try to anticipate what the opponent is going to do! That's what good pokémon do during a battle, if she remembered right.
grunting as he was met by the harsh action, he tumbled upon the ground. lips curling into a grimace, he quickly righted himself, eyes gleaming with a terrible surge of loathing for the woman and her pet.
"emmo...."
as he attempted flight, he was met by yet another tackle. after the second time of being grounded, his cheeks grew alive with sparks of electricity. he turned upon the normal type and proceeded to produce two thundershocks in the deer's general direction.

[attr="class","agar"]Luckily Bunny had made a good choice with her pokémon. Since Sophie was a grass type, the Thunder Shocks were barely effective. She furrowed her brows, watching the Emolga carefully.
"Use tackle twice again!" she called out, hand on the bag with her egg. She could practically feel the warmth radiating from it, and if she had been paying more attention, Bunny would've felt a kick.
Her Deerling charged for the Emolga two more times, and it was then that she worried that perhaps it wouldn't give up. She understood its initial anger, but was this really necessary?! Surely it knew how many people traversed these woods on the daily!

She dug her hooves in the ground after her second hit, feeling good about this battle. Her heart was thumping in her chest and she felt sheer pride as the thunder shocks raced through her body with little affect. Sophie smirked. Time for this to get tough.
Despite the Emolga's resilient aggressiveness, Sophie felt surprisingly confident in her abilities as she aimed two more tackles its way.
emolga's eyes widened as he realized that his attempts had little effect.
"emo?"
this wasn't good. this wasn't good at all!
"emo!"
tumbling backward as he was struck twice more, the electric-type struggled to regain an upright position. he lay flat on his body, his face forming another pained grimace as the pain reared its ugly head. he was barely clinging onto consciousness, and inhaled sharply.
"emo!"
instead of giving up, he attempted one last charge, his speed increasing dramatically.
the wild emolga was hit by tackle x2 the wild emolga uses quick attack!
[attr="class","agar"]The Emolga was wearing down, but right when Bunny thought it would give up it slammed into Sophie witha quick attack. Grumbling quietly to herself and gripping the cloth of her bag, fingertips grazing the outline of her egg, she commanded, "One more tackle, Soph." She didn't want to overly harm the thing.
Of course, she wasn't even that sure only one tackle would take down the Emolga, but the nicer she was the better she felt. They could always tackle again, right?
Sophie seemed to be enjoying this fight, Bunny idly thought to herself as the Deerling attacked. This was only her second battle, the first being against a pretty lady in the middle of Petalburg. She felt a sort of kinship to the grass pokémon, as they shared such enthusiasm together on the field. Hopefully she'd be the same on stage.
Bunny shook her head, she was losing focus. She peered at the Emolga to see what damage had been done.

this. was. fun. like, she should really see about doing this more often! fighting against those zubat were fun, fighting against this emolga was fun, everything was fun, fun, fun! but she can't lose focus! she still has to fight!
sophie glared at the pokémon, stiff and ready to attack. at bunny's words she launched forward, attempting to land a final blow. once she was finished, she added a growl for effect. and maybe a little bit of a prance, too.
sophie was hit by quick attack! sophie used tackle! sophie used growl!
the final blow was struck as soon as the deer's body came into contact with his. emolga clung onto consciousness as he fell, eyes fluttering open and shut as he gasped sharply. he struggled to stand and rest on all fours, but even he could not manage such a simple task. his energy had been thoroughly extinguished.
"e...."
he collapsed with a low moan.
the wild emolga was hit by tackle! the wild emolga has fainted! sophie has gained 1 level! capture?
[attr="class","agar"]Bunny nodded with a huff of finality. The battle was over. Sophie trotted over to her with a face of pure joy that she couldn't help but mirror. Congratulating her pokémon, Bunny grinned and pet the Deerling's head with a couple of scratches here or there, rewarding her with a poképuff. "Good job, cutie. You were amazing!"
Bunny stepped over to the tiny Emolga, feeling pity for it, as it was just trying to protect it's home. She picked it up carefully, placed under the brush of a bush by the tree it had been perched in with a berry or two to help it when it woke up. She hoped it wouldn't mind.
With that, Bunny walked with Sophie and Diana further in the forest, gripping gently at the fabric of her bag. Just faintly, she could feel the baby pokémon wriggling inside it's egg. A burst of affection erupted in her chest as she stayed on the lookout for more pokémon.
bunny didn't capture the emolga! more pokémon, please!
she strutted about, taking the wilds by storm as she showed off her natural sway and swagger to the feral crowds of the forest. furfrou grinned, a smug look on her face as she acknowledged that she was far more superior than the average poke. the canine also embraced her own beauty.
"fur!"
with her nose tilted up, she barely offered the human girl a glance. someone such as herself didn't waste her time with someone so... unimportant.
a wild furfrou has appeared! she appears to be ignoring bunny! move on or interact with the wild pokemon?
[attr="class","agar"]Bunny caught a flash of white through the brush right as the Furfrou entered her line of sight. Gasping audibly, the coordinator nearly missed her opportunity to approach the pokémon as she was so astounded.
A Kalos pokémon, one that she was very familiar with, was here in Hoenn! Wow, that was amazing! Rushing forward, but at a pace to not startle to Furfrou, she called out, "Oh, excuse me, excuse me!" It looked very similar to her parents' Furfrou at home, but with a longer, less decorated coat and a larger build in general (most likely because it was wild, Bunny supposed). It was both strikingly familiar yet curiously different, and it made bunny gape with amazement.
"Goodness, you look lovely! I mean, I'm sorry to intrude but, wow. I didn't know such a pretty pokémon would be wandering around the woods!" she said airily, nearly out of breath despite not doing anything physical. Bunny was still astounded by the fact a Furfrou was in Petalburg Forest.
furfrou blinked at the human, her praise washing over her and leaving the creature immensely satisfied.
"fur!" she agreed.
tilting her chin upward, she puffed up her chest a little and turned around once and twice in order to properly show off her beautiful fur. despite the wilds being a truly filthy place, the pokemon had managed to maintain herself well enough.
"fur?"
she looked to the female human, curious as to why she would - well, it all made sense, actually. furfrou was beautiful, after all. so she tolerated the human's stare.
[attr="class","agar"]To say the least, she was breathless. To think of just how perfect a Furfrou would be for a contest! Bunny looked it over as the furry pokémon turned for her with great pride, nodding silently to herself.
"Goodness," she said airily, "you have a beautiful coat! Must be hard to keep it clean in the forest, I can see why you're so proud of it! Not to mention you have a lovely build...." Bunny began to lose her train of thought as she looked the Furfrou over, scenarios and scenarios of future contests bursting in her mind. Her tongue nearly went slack until she thought about asking the pokémon if it would even be interested.
"Oh! Have you ever heard of contests?" She asked quickly, looking the pokémon over again. "You, uh... wow, okay. Um, basically you perform in contests to prove just how cute and/or beautiful you are against other pokémon, and you're judged. With a coat like that and minimal training, I'm sure you'd win anything you entered...." she found herself losing thought again. Like, wow. A Furfrou. In Hoenn. It just blew her mind!
