Well, here he was; One route further along, one battle stronger. Jeremy poised himself with great respect for himself and his pokemon, especially when they battled and fought with integrity. His hand came up, brushing his raven black hair away from his eyes before shifting back down, and fiddling with the things inside of his pocket. The number from that girl some money, and some random nick knack things here and there. Nothing he needed to worry about right this second, instead his eyes focused forward. He had one intention, and one intention only here. Find another pokemon that he could add to his group. Of course there was the chance of finding things that wouldn't matter to him, but that was a chance he was willing to take.
Getting himself in position, the man placed the red helmet back onto his head, activating the cameras inside before tossing the pokeball that held his shinx. If he was going to use this little guy, the two of them were going to have to work these things out. "Alright, no worries. You're gonna be ready by the time I'm done with you!" Jeremy shouted, laughing to himself before the two of them started walking through the route.
oh gosh! oh, goodness she was so mad right now! furious, even! How could her sister say such a thing? she was plenty old enough to handle herself without the rest of her family up her tail, and she could prove it! that's exactly why she ran away like this — whenever they found her, she'd be safe and sound, just like always!
while huffing and puffing and stomping on the ground, the litleo only noticed jeremy when he was only a few feet away. she froze, eyes wide with terror, before shooting out two swift blasts of fire towards him in self-defense!
If it had been you that he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would've done nothing but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil death-worshiping garbage and sent him off to hell.

It didn't take long for the trainers wishes to be answered. A small lion pokemon appeared, her mane small but it was obvious that she had never seen a human before. There was a fear in her eyes, a fear that Jeremy knew all too well. And then, in an instant, the litleo fire off two quick busts of flame. "Alright, dodge this and leer!" Shinx did as he was commanded, firing off to the side, dodging the first burst of flame, the second coming in quickly after the other. Shinx managed to get the leer off, but not before the embers hit his coat. The small feline pokemon backed up, having never dealt with a trainer battle before. "Shinx, come back here!"
The shinx listened instinctively, Jeremy grabbing the other pokeball attached to his belt and tossing it forward. "Let's go houndour!" The houndour burst from the red light, his eyes peering forward at the opponent he now had to face. "We're going to weaken this for shinx here, he needs to battle experience!" The houndour understood, and without a second thought lowered it's head and began to growl at the litleo. "Howl!" The houndour did as he was commanded and began to howl loudly. The shinx in the back looked onward while houndour lowered it's head, ready to attack.
the litleo didn't know what to do. she opposing shinx sent her a fierce glare, and the tiny lion pokemon nearly felt her legs buckling. what was she going to do? what was she going to do?
and then, to make things even more confusing, the shinx suddenly disappeared and some other scary pokemon replaced it! oh no, oh no! what could she do?!
in a panic, the litle rammed forward, aiming to hit the howling houndour with her tackles!
litleo's defense was lowered! litleo used tackle x2!

❞
This was it. It was going to be a simple battle, he could tell. The litleo, while scared, was also inexperienced in any dealings with humans, and even other pokemon it seemed. "Houndour, dodge!" Houndour did as it was told and without so much as the command needed, his fangs began to spark with a powerful flame. "Take this tackle, and then use fire fang!" Houndour barked loudly, taking the brunt of the force before using his fangs to aim right for the litleos neck. "Again. Don't let up!" He commanded, the damage dealt would be severe, for sure, but not enough to defeat the litleo. Though perhaps he was giving the other feline too much credit.
Laughing to himself, Jeremy's eyes drifted down toward his shinx, leaning down he whispered lowly. "Be ready to jump in. You're gonna take over for houndour as soon as this Litleo is low enough, okay?" Shinx nodded along with the plan, still nervous from the initial ember that had hit it. Jeremy's hand rested against the small feline as he watched in on the battle.
although the fire fangs were akin to her type, they still hit hard. the litleo cried in pain as the houndour's flaming fangs sunk into her body. it hurt so much!
finally, when the houndour released, she shook herself to focus and rammed into whatever pokémon was close to her now.
then, with knowledge that this was her final attack, the tiny pokemon unleashed a forceful amount of flames at her opponent, almost snuffing out completely.
litleo was hit by fire fang! litleo used tackle! litleo used ember!
If it had been you that he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would've done nothing but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil death-worshiping garbage and sent him off to hell.
❞
Jeremy watched onward without hesitation. "Good job so far houndour!" He shouted; the houndour nodding in agreement, backing off when he let go of the litleo's collar. It was very quick, and without hesitation, the litleo retaliated once more. The tackle came quickly enough, as did the ember that followed. "Houndour, take them and then return here!" Houndour nodded. Neither attack doing enough damage to knock him out. "Shinx, rush in and tackle it to finish it off! If that fails, tackle again!" The commands were swift and to the point. Jeremy, however, turned and leaned down, pulling a potion from his bag.
"You need this." He said, spraying the houndour down with the potion. "Just relax and let the shinx work things out." Jeremy returned to the battlefield, his attention wrapped up in the shinx and litleo.
the houndour retreated, and the shinx returned. panicking, the litleo attempted to shoot another bout of embers, but found herself run dry. the shinx slammed into her, making the litleo skid on the ground and retreat into the sweetness that was unconsciousness.
litleo was hit by tackle! litleo fainted! capture litleo? or walk away? more pokemon?

❞
And that's all she wrote; looking down at his shinx, he laughed and waved it over. "Good job little guy!" At times the man hardly felt like a grunt of an evil group, and he almost wasn't. Magma was the best opposition to Aqua, and he would do anything to foil their plans. And getting stronger meant he would be able to do so. So did capturing more pokemon. Standing up, the man grabbed a free ball and tossed it toward the little feline. He could tell it was scared but he also knew that it was the most scared pokemon that could become the strongest.
fairly soon after the battle, a grimer slid out of the bushes. she had been watching for a short while and was hoping the trainer and pokemon wouldn't catch wind of her awful stench.
the grimer felt offended by the litleo. who fought like that? no pokemon with any idea on how to battle, that's who. it was time this trainer got a real taste of how strong wild pokemon could be....
sucking in a short breath, the grimer released a cloud of poison before raising the mud on the ground to her command, slapping at the shinx with her new earthy hand.
a wild grimer appeared! grimer used poison gas! grimer used mud slap!
If it had been you that he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would've done nothing but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil death-worshiping garbage and sent him off to hell.
❞
"What's this?" He questioned himself as he noticed a small, purple pile of slime slowly make it's way out of the bushes and toward the trainer. "Oh god..." He mumbled to himself before noticing that the Grimer was beginning to take aim. "Oh this isn't good. Shinx, step back...Houndour take point." He commanded, both pokemon heeding his command. "Okay, be ready Houndour."
It didn't take long before the grimer attacked, sending a noxious gas their way. "Dodge the gas, and charge in." The houndour did as it was told, dodging the gas, but missing the mud-slap, taking it straight to the face. He growled loudly before shaking his head, removing most of the gook from his eyes. "Fire Fang twice! Hurry!" Jeremy yelled before watching in on the battle. "It'll be the same as before. Let houndour weaken it, then you'll move in." The shinx nodded as it watched it's teammate fight the nasty poison pokemon.
she grimaced as the houndour avoided her poison gas attack. really? how cheap. she'd just have to punish him for it.
the pokemon's fire fangs dug deep into her gooey body, shooting what felt like flames through her whole system. with a harsh growl, she pounded towards the houndour until it left go, finishing up with another mud slap it's way.
grimer was hit by fire fang x2! grimer used pound! grimer used mud slap!

❞
"Houndour, be careful!" He yelled as the houndour's fangs dug into the pile of goop. Jeremy cringed as the grimer pounded away at the pup, houndour having to let go before it took too much damage, but not before the grimer managed to once more slam gunk into it's face. "Houndour, brush it off and fire fang one more time!" The houndour listened, charging in for one more fire fang. "When you're done. come back here!" The houndour listened, and regardless if the attack landed, it shifted it's weight and leaped back to it's trainers side. "Shinx, rush in and tackle now!" Jeremy commanded. Shinx nodded with confidence, before charging in.
Jeremy sighed and leaned down. Petting the pup. "You need to be more careful." Picking him up, and watching in on the battle he started brushing the dirt from around the houndours eyes.
she couldn't express just how annoying it was that the houndour wasn't finished yet. what was with this thing?! it was lucky, that's what it was. she aimed another pound at it before she realized that it was being called out, and her attack missed.
becoming enraged, the grimer roared loudly and began to unleash another attack at her new opponent, but found herself cut short by its final blow. her head clogged up with foggy thoughts and the world began to spin. apparently, she wasn't able to show this cruddy trainer just how harsh the wild could be. damn.
grimer was hit by fire fang! grimer used mud slap, but it missed! grimer was hit by tackle! grimer fainted! capture? more pokemon?

"Alright, way to go you two"He said, with pride in his voice. "Now, what to do with..." He whispered, but his decision had already been made. Scrunching his nose up, and with a foul look on his face he turned his back. "Never been a fan of grimers." tilting his head to the side, he motioned for his two pokemon to follow him forward. "We'll go else where and avoid this thing for now. hopefully it doesn't come back." And with that the man was on his way, hopefully he could find something worth battling. "I think one more battle and we should be good to head back to town, what do you guys say?" He asked, but he already knew the answer. The two of them weren't backing down, and neither was he.
