JASON ROYDE |
BIOGRAPHY Royde Ranches; A company throughout Hoenn for a reliable place to get top quality eggs. That was the name of the multimillionaire company owned by Richard Royde. He had single handily brought it up from the rich and fertile soil and lands outside Petalburg to the region wide company it was today. Of course, with such wealth at his disposal, the man needed a wife to shower her with gifts, and so he found Melissa. A woman who enjoyed the glamorous life of the city, she was soon disappointed to life on the ranch, needing constant attention, and money, from her husband. This couple that seemed to doomed to divorce did what any other failing marriage did; They had a child. A beautiful baby boy they named Jason. Jason Royde. The child was supposed to bring peace and fix all of the couple's problems, and in a way, he did. He became the family's scapegoat. To his mother's compulsive shopping: "The baby needed a new bib and I just happened to spot these shoes while I was leaving the mall...", to his father's late night absences: "I had to go talk to the kid's doctor about his shots n' stuff. The doctor, was, uh, very reluctant on letting me go without knowing what each shot was for...". Both parents used the newborn as an excuse to continue what was going on before but this time there was the cover of "helping the child" rather than for selfish reasons. This continued for a few years, Jason always being used as an excuse while in reality some caretaker hovered over the child having to do the real parental duties such as changing his diaper, feeding him, and bathing him. It wasn't until Jason began to speak did the two realize that their lies would soon come to surface, so his father did what any man with money did; Left. Oh, he didn't leave Melissa to care for the child alone, but he took her with him on a world wide cruise that took about two years to complete. They visited all of the regions and while Melissa bought foreign and expensive clothes, Richard took part in the exotic services. As for their child? The one that was supposed to fix everything? He was left in the care of the first of many in a line of nannies. The toddler did what any other spoiled toddler would do, threw a fit constantly to get what he wanted. While he wasn't entirely sure where the parents he barely remember were, he didn't really care either. Having a room full of toys, and being given more whenever he asked, kept him distracted. Those two years flew by for the parents and by the time they came back, they had missed the first few weeks of Jason's first year of school. It soon became a patter of sorts where Jason's parents would leave for months or years at a time, leaving him in the care of various nannies and guardians, then coming back for a few weeks. This pattern continued through most of Jason's elementary school days and even further, yet there was one minor change. Jason had a nanny that stayed. Jasmine Ellaine was her name, and she appeared sometime over the summer before Jason would start the fifth grade. She was an elderly woman with stark white hair and more laugh lines than Jason could count, but she did something no one else in his miserable existence had done before, she cared for the boy. Caring for the young lad, she taught him to respect nature, pokemon, and other people; although, it can be said that last point didn't get across too clearly. Jason learned from her and her Lucario, Percy, about how to train pokemon. He learned the proper ways to identify a sick pokemon, how to treat a wound, how to care for them as the two guardians cared for him. Jason also learned other things he wouldn't be able to learn from anyone else. Jasmine was an Aura Guardian, capable of using her aura for task Jason couldn't even imagine, and while the blond himself couldn't, he still learned from her and Percy on how others did and how to protect himself from it. When Jasmine wasn't teaching him about pokemon or auras, she taught the teenager how to read ancient ruins and the mysterious language of the Unknown, promising him it would come to use eventually. While he learned quite a bit at home, Jason still attended high school like any other teenager. He took French, the language of love, and used this to his advantage to seduce boys and girls alike. Jason was a heartthrob, the training he did with Percy the Lucario keeping his body in tip top shape and the yoga he practiced with Jasmine shedding any fat he had, and he was well aware of it. The blond was pretty sure he passed his sophomore year using other people's homework alone, all thanks to his wonderful looks. Of course, the good could only last for so long. On his sixteenth birthday, the day barely started, Jason received some of the worst news he would get in his entire life. His father and mother had sent him on a cruise for his birthday and he found out from a very professional and apathetic voice mail that Jasmine had passed during her sleep that night and her pokemon, Percy, followed shortly afterwards from heartbreak. The smile that should have been plastered on the boy's, now a man's, face was instead replaced by a quivering lip and tears streaming down his face. Jason called his father, who sent for a Flygon to pick him up, and Jason attended Jasmine and Percy's funeral the following days. A year passed, and Jason was rebelling against his parents and teachers in every way he could. His senior year was marked by truancy and failing grades, and with Jason being sixteen and no longer needing a guardian, no one was there to enforce curfew or for the blond to do his work. All of this led to what one thing... His seventeenth birthday. That day, the anniversary of Jasmine and Percy's death, Jason made his choice of what he wanted to do. The blond wanted to follow in the footsteps of Jasmine, not his father, and become a trainer. When he informed his parents of this choice, his father was infuriated, claiming he was the one who would take over the breeding business when his father was old and frail. Out right denying him the possibility, the older man yelled over the phone for a good ten minutes before he waited for his son to reply. And waited. And waited. He wouldn't get an answer, ever, because the seventeen year old Jason had ran away from home. His journey started out like most others, with a starter pokemon of his choice, a Ralts and a Duskull, Jasmine and Sebastian respectively. He had named the Ralts in Jasmine's honor, knowing she would always be with him. Sebastian was named so for... Well, he thought the pokemon enjoyed the name. They set off from his home outside Petalburg and headed towards Rustboro, avoiding the streets and sticking to the forest. It was here Jason caught his first pokemon, and met his first "love", William. The stud had never felt for someone like he did Will and he honestly felt that he was in love, but he couldn't be sure. As they spent more and more time together, Jason training while Will did his thing, that feeling only grew until there was no denying the heartache Jason had for the dark haired golden goofball. Although, Jason never did profess his feelings for Will, he was sure it was obvious. More training ensure as Jason traveled the Hoenn region, searching for Will and making his pokemon more powerful. Months passed, and eventually, Jason gave up on finding his golden knight. Fury, depression, and all other mixtures of emotions caused him to travel to a region he had never been to, Orre, in order to participate in a contest there. Jason had a fine singing voice, and his dramatic side shone on the stage, so it seemed like a good way to let out some steam. A performance full of angst and anger, it earned Jason honorable mention. An okay score for his time on stage, but definitely not what he wanted. Drinking the pain away, Jason spent the following days wallowing in his hotel until he received a phone call from a certain someone... They, Jason and Will, went out to a nice hotel in Orre where the golden gilded guy, politely, broke Jason's heart. Running from his heartbreak and the man who did it, Jason returned to Hoenn to isolate himself. It was here where Jason's life would truly change. He fell into a jumbled mess of murder, secrets, and villains that ended in him, Jason Royde, being framed for the murder of various guards and kidnapping of a young woman. Terrified and alone, Jason fled from Hoenn and went to Sinnoh, adopting a new identity on the way. Jason Royde no longer existed, and in his place, was Jackson Floyde. Jackson, or Jason, battled and trained in the city of Hearthome where he eventually faced off against the ghost mistress Fantine, and won. Earning his second badge would have been a great feat, but for the fugitive, it meant nothing. He still had to run. And run he did, avoiding public places like the plague. It was only a matter of time, though, until the socialite would need to see people. Taking a great opportunity, Jasno returned to Hoenn in order to participate in the annual Summer Contest. They required no registration and so he had no worry of being caught. A needed break from running, it put him and his pokemon in a much better mood. The brunette, having changed his hair color when he changed his identity, would have been much happier if he had gotten something other than honorable mention again, but what are you gonna do? With no reason to ever return to the region where everything had went down, Jason left Hoenn for the final time and went to the newly opened region of Kalos. Here, he met a girl who well... He actually enjoyed her company, even if they met under odd circumstances. Jason and Erin traversed through some haunted walkway where she was a ghost, he was trapped in spider webs, and all manners of creatures from Hell chased them around like it was fun and games. They bonded over this experience, "Jackson" and Erin, and promised to keep in touch with each other as he traveled through Kalos. Jason did his best to keep up with her, and they talked when he wasn't training with his pokemon or fleeing from cities, but it was hard when you were fugitive. Flying over a small Kalosian town in the southern parts of the large region, Jason's life would change once more. A freak accident, causing his supplies to be lost to the wind, Jason was forced to stop in town to pick up more. Here, a blond man discovered Jason's identity and forced him into a battle of life and death, freedom and imprisonment, good and evil. While Jason and Jasmine had the advantage for a time, a minor mistake resulted in... In Jasmine's death. The blond bounty hunter's pokemon snapped her neck with ease and if it weren't for Jason's Altaria, probably would have done so to him as well. Fleeing from Kalos a top his Altaria, Jason had Jasmine's minimized pokeball turned into a necklace that he wore. He had lost two of the most important people, and pokemon, who were important to him, both of them named Jasmine. He would never lose someone again, not if he could help it. Jason and his pokemon landed in the Nue region, where he once again changed his identity. Jason was dead, Jackson gone as well, and in their place was Jeraud Derossier, a dark haired man with looks that could kill. Settling in a town known as Tyntill, Jason started his new life. No more Ghost pokemon, they were associated with Jason. No more Dark pokemon, those associated with Jackson. Here he would stick to electric and flying types, energetic enough to keep up with his changing lifestyle and capable of fleeing in a moment's notice. His other pokemon, were confined to their pokeballs or resided at his small apartment in Tyntill. Jason, or Jeraud, was taking classes at the local high school to get his G.E.D. It'd be nice to have a diploma. Six months later of hard work, and Jeraud was now a high school graduate and was working as a delivery boy for a local pizza chain. During the night, however, Jason did mixed martial arts where he attempted to earn money for him and the many pokemon that lived with him. It was odd, the now dark haired man had never needed to work, and here he was getting his ass beat nightly just to earn a couple hundred bucks. For a time, this worked. Jason, or Jeraud, lived his life as a lowly delivery boy while all of his pokemon, about thirty or so, lived in his apartment and the forest surrounding. He couldn't risk registering them at a pokemon center or risk being caught... He would soon find out that it wouldn't matter. A crash and shrill shriek woke him as his Sableye, Diamond, came bursting into his room, blood covering her shadowy claws. Jason was up in a second, grabbing some pokeballs that hadn't been cracked open in over half a year, getting ready to flee. It was them, the team that had framed him in the first place, Jason just knew it. They were here to finish the job no doubt but how had they found him? It wouldn't matter anyways, he'd get out of there as soon as possible, just needed to find Melena's bal- Jason's eyes grew wide at the realization that he had let her out earlier in the day to feed. "Fuck." He muttered as the breaking of glass caused Diamond to jump and hide in a shadow. The battle that ensured was one of blood and gore, death and heartache, and more importantly, acceptance. That team, of which Jason still doesn't know who they were, slaughtered the pokemon he had with at least fifteen trainers and just as many pokemon to each. His small apartment had basically been blasted to smithereens with nothing left but the many bodies of his pokemon. Hell, it was worse than any gym battles he had ever seen. And Arceus was it too much for Jason's psyche. He ran, and oh boy did he run fast, to the nearest police station. The blonde in disguise turned himself in and was a mess when the League came for him; Sitting in a chair, tears and snot running down his blood covered face with various cuts all over his body. Off to Hoenn he was shipped. Two months of court days, his father glaring and mother weeping, with many large bribes and top notch lawyers on his family's side, led to Jason having to serve six months in prison on a six million dollar bail. The massacre at his apartment proof enough that he had been framed. Jason was forced to serve the time, his father waiting until the very last minute to bail him out, causing an even larger rift to grow between the two. His father, disgusted with what had happened and the potential loss of customers more or less cut off communication with Jason, some what easy to do considering their mansion was large enough you could go days without seeing another. Because of this, Jason took to drinking, and drinking a lot. Most nights he barely even made it pass the grand doors into their family home, instead falling into the neatly trimmed bushes, passing out with a bottle of booze falling beside him. | NICKNAME jay AGE twenty GENDER male SEXUALITY bisexual TRAINER CLASS trainer STARTER POKEMON honedge PLAYED BY posidem |
