route 101 was said to be one of the most memorable places of a new trainers journey. maybe it was because professor birch gave out many pokemon and to get to the next city you had to travel by route 101 or maybe it was because this was where a lot of first time trainers had their first pokemon battle. either way - she didn't mind sitting in the blades of grass watching as the clouds floated by as al chased after a butterfly. it was a calming moment almost as if she was sitting inside of a movie, there was nothing to disturb her it was absolutely wondrous. but she couldn't help but wish for something else to happen. maybe it was her restlessness acting up again. lying back in the grass, she could hear al approaching and the little pokemon peeked at her with a wide smile and the butterfly sitting on top of his head.
she laughed lightly and shooed it away before kissing his furry little cheek. al made a happy little noise as he was embraced by his trainer. the two laid there staring up at the summer sky although al was beginning to fall asleep with the smell of the flowers surrounding him and the cool breeze. nia stayed awake however and stroked her beloved pokemon's fur as she pointed out little shapes with the clouds. this brought back memories. no cares in the world, not knowing anything and not needing to know anything. moments that she would have wished to come back time and time again.
but they were gone and time would continue flowing on. but as long as she had her beloved pokemon and her memories, it would be okay. though in the back of her mind, she wished for something - anything.

I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES A basic, a start, a route in extension to reach of far ends. 101 a basic. Much like English or perhaps the fundemental concept of understanding a pokemon. He's on his way, out of the road and towards a future of his own paths. He finds it ironic. A mere set up on how he was given a Charmander. A fire type, no less. What else could it be?
He walks; a tall male in his late twenties with raven hair and storming grey eyes. What he carries with him is quite a heavy burden. An egg no doubt. From the texture you have gather it's an Absol. 'It appears when it senses an impending natural disaster. As a result, it was mistaken as a doom bringer.' A form of irony perhaps. Charmander and now an Absol.
A shake of his head and a loose of breath. The individual goes with silence. His mind wanders elsewhere, as he walks, not a care, not a notice of the person of whom he accidentally bump into.
Firm grip on the egg, he looks over. "Oh, sorry for that," he mumbles his apology. Even he was sure that it would not be dismissed so easily. A close inspection of the person he bump into, it was just a girl. Small, and perhaps a grade schooler. Not every day you see something odd as that.

she had wished for something interesting but didn't expect it to come in the form of a person. sitting up from where she had laid, she stared at him with a mixture of awe and confusion. who was this person and had she seen him before in town? there were many people that lived there but it was a small community so almost everyone knew one another. and she couldn't quite place her finger on it but she was almost absolutely positively sure that she had never seen such a person before. nonetheless it didn't make the experience unwarrented, and she sat up on her knees to give him her full attention.
"hi, are you new in town?"
like everyone else that seemed to confront her, he looked at her as if she was a child. there wasn't any need to diminish the thoughts, it actually made it a lot easier to get information out of other people. besides if she looked youthful then there was no reason to fight against it. but it was rather troublesome when she was applying for certain things or trying to do certain tasks for someone to tell her to go home to her parents because they were missing their little girl. the thought of it left a sour taste in her mouth.
"i've lived in little root for a while, and i don't think i've ever seen you."

I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN THAT THE MIRROR NEVER LIES He raises little to no concerns. As he looks over the girl; complications will arise sooner or later in the near future. For now, there's no need for him to bother with the spoken rules which doesn't apply him at all. His fingers flexes only a slight as he then goes into his own surprise. What was happening? Right, I bumped into the girl...right...
With the egg with him, the male tilts his head to the side. She looks no older. How old she is, worries him a bit more than he should. He dislikes how he doesn't know even the most simplest of things. "...not really..." he replies quietly. "...i work at the daycare and farm...timekeeper's mansion... Not too far from here..."
He's never been outside of his own home, other than fetching supplies, but, with Timekeeper's Mansion undergoing reconstruction, he thought he would be able to explore the regions of Hoenn a bit more. To understand his situation and the world around him. Perhaps make a few more friends.
"I don't think I've ever seen you around either..." he replies. "Do you want to go get candy with me?" he offers. He isn't in a rush at all, the only thing he needs to do is simply fetch more supplies for the pokémons and himself, for his journey.
