hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

You can keep on going. Avoid the people and expect the results to be grand. But what of the moments when you don't want to interact? Are you alone by then? Your heart skips every few beats. There's no time. You should go. You're on your way again as Oldale is right behind you. Tired eyes, a yawn escapes. You go away again.
Oldale behind, you keep on walking. Ahead of time ahead of those far behind. With a moment to take things into consideration, you look over to your own pokémon. A girafarig tall and strong. "Well, looks like we're off to a rocky start, hey boy?"
He snorts a bit and nuzzles his nose against you. You smile and laugh lightly. "We'll see them again...don't worry..."
yes, the trainer was definitely off to a rocky start. geodude suddenly burst out of the ground and looked at the trainer and her pokemon. she didn't mean to scare them, honestly!
Maybe the pun shouldn't have been used. Even if you're lost. Oldale behind, for now you can only assume that perhaps...you should have been paying attention to the ground too. Out of nowhere, there came a geodude.
You're thrown back. A regain of your own steps. D-darn...I didn't see that coming at all... You bite your lips and looks at the Geodude. What did it want from you? A blink. One, two. You shake your head and regain your senses.
"O-oh, y-you should watch out next time Geodude!" you say to the pokémon. "W-what are you doing here?"
the geodude didn't understand a single word the trainer was saying at all. she was too dizzy. but that giraffe pokemon does look a bit scary. so she tackled it.
No, you didn't want to see this happen. A fight between two pokémon. A shiver escapes you as you try to keep yourself in check. No no, not a fight, no this wasn't supposed to happen. A fight. One to cause disruption towards all and any people. A bite of your lip. A standstill for now as you then take in a deep breath to calm yourself.
You need this. To win. To live on. Fight.
Shaky, a bit out of breath. You watch as Jerome dodge the attack. Angry, annoyed. He goes with growl and then onward with tackle.
Well, looks like the battle will go on now. For now, you just watch as it goes on. You onto your hand a bit as you watch the battle between girafarig and geodude. A hit. Girafarig stumbles backwards a bit and goes forward with a growl this time.
A fumble, a mess. You take out a pokéball and await a bit more. Not yet. Not yet. A few more seconds, you toss your pokéball in hopes to catch the geodude. A flash, just not as much, you're not going back right? Back to them...to the arms of those you loved. It hurts...
It's finished. For now. You take in a deep breath and pat the head of the girafarig. You're happy that battle didn't last too long like it should have! A walk over, you take the pokéball and places it in your pocket. First round, she won. It was a nice feeling really. To win. But at what price? A haunting question comes to mind. Her girafarig was injured and this was going to give him a bit of a hard time to keep up with you, right? "Jer-"
By thought, the girafarig stomps it's front hoof. A stubborn look in his eyes as he then walks on ahead without you. "Hey! Wait! You shouldn't push yourself you know!" You rush after.
Quite a rush. You're light on your feet again. Jerome is far ahead, too far for your eyes to see him anywhere. Speed walking, it's not too late, just a little farther, she just needs to make sure he was alright again. Heart rushing, what light? A rush, a rush. She pushes herself to keep on going.
Meanwhile, up afar, ahead from her. Away from the owner he knew well; Jerome was in battle. Another pokémon up for the attack. A tackle by surprise; came towards him. In anger, in spite, the girafarig used confusion as the first move, and then onwards towards secret power.
As you caught up to the pokémon, you were in the welcome of a fallen makuhita. A glance over to Jerome, the pokémon stomps it's front hoof in acknowledgement of his strength. Uncertainty runs through you as you then walk over to the makuhita and capture it. Hopefully, it would hold no grudges against you.
Successful catch, you then look over to Jerome who then walks on; forward. Away from you as you pocket the pokéball. W-well, at least we're successful in some way really. A nod, Jerome slows a bit as you walk beside him. It's not a bad day, is it? The sun overhead and now, the conceptual belief of you winning. It's not bad.
Jerome was unaware of the tailow on his back. Either that or he didn't really mind of the big pokémon there. You turn your head a bit. Way above was the tailow, and you follow it when it landed on Jerome's back. Oddly enough you don't stop walking. With a smile you nod to the pokémon. "Taking a break little one?" you ask.
It looks nice to have a rest really, walking endlessly with no one to give you a say on anything, it's tiring. Maybe a catch of breath or two. You don't reach for your pokéball, perhaps this one would be more than willing to come with her, keep herself and the other pokémons company on their journey ahead. "Do you want to perch on my shoulder instead? Gives you a better view."
