6:50. His pokegear vibrates only to reassure him of the fact. He's never been prided on punctuality, in fact he's never been prided or even prided himself on anything in particular. Maybe this once he can oblige by means of time after all he set the terms for this.... Well this 'meet up'. He still hasn't mentioned his encounter in Oldale to Basil, then again there's much Basil doesn't know about him and vice versa. They haven't attempted to get to know each other in anything other than under a superficial light. It's something that he realizes should change, and something that would change as time went on if they continued to travel together, relationships he learned are impossible to rush.
The sea breeze hits him for the umpteenth time as he sits on the steps to the pier. He watches the sun over the horizon as it begins to set, the noise on the beach only increasing as the sky grows darker the sun continuing to sink further into the abyss. He's tapping his foot as he waits, eyes more than slightly shifty. It's almost as if he's preparing for a 'job' so to speak. Almost unconsciously he counts how many people he within his field of vision analyzing any and all possible escape routes, not just to pass the time but as a habit he's tried so hard to kill.
He forces himself to be still clasping his hands together in an attempt to look calm. 6:55, he slides his pokegear out again removing any remaining reminders, another attempt to pass the time the device sliding back from whence it came only seconds later. He thinks back on the prior engagement surreptitiously honing in on his manners, wondering how he could have been so uncouth.
It had been late in the afternoon when Syndra had made it to Petalburg. Sometime around five or so. Luckily it was in time to get a room at the Pokemon Center and relax a bit as she basked in the glory of finally making it to Petalburg in time for the festival. For a full hour the girl had laid in the bed of the room in the pokemon center looking at her pokenav plus for all the things that she could do. After all the plan was to stay in Petalburg for quite some time and explore the surrounding routes more thoroughly when she had the time. Her Turtwig had gone in to the Pokemon Center's care to heal up from the travel but compared to the road from route 101 the trainer was vastly less worried. It was only when in the middle of her shower did something ring in the back of her mind.
Didn't someone want to meet her at seven?
At first the thought had no consequence to the female but the longer she thought on it, she decided that she didn't want to be rude and completely blow the man off. It was bold of him to make plans and expect her to show up without a response from her but it was effective to some extent. Plus free fancy food was a nice thought. The pokemon center served free food at the cafeteria for trainers but Syndra didn't expect much of it. Deciding to pick up Turtwig from the pokemon center just in case, she went about preparing for the evening. Getting dressed and figuring out where the pier was a simple task. While it was drawing dangerously close to the specified time Syndra could be seen taking her time walking daintily towards the destination.
By the time it became 6:54 she had made it and had seen the man in question sitting all alone and fiddling with his hands and pokegear. There was a short laugh that sounded more like an exhale than anything else as she made the necessary steps to approach him, from behind of course. Ordinarily she might have done something like sneak up on him and made it a surprise. Yet that didn't seem appropriate and would have taken too much effort from the somewhat exhausted young lady. So instead there were soft steps as she approached and spoke quickly and abruptly to interrupt whatever thoughts the red head could have been having. "Worrying about what bad pickup line you're going to use next?" An innocent smile slide across her lips.
"S-Should I be?" His heart jumps as he looks away from his phone. He's surprised, his voice shows it to his dismay the scene not quite playing out as well as he would like. 'Since when was I so bashful?' one of the few comprehensible thoughts echoing through his head. He doesn't know, but he decidedly doesn't like this change in his persona. He clears his voice, before continuing gaining a little more chill "For your information I've had that figured out since this afternoon."
"You know they say the Hoenn sunset is like a work of art, but you know I'd rather watch you instead." He somehow manages to finishes before cracking up himself, "So was that one better, worse, I need your honest critique." Half of him wants to die now, after saying that the other half can only laugh with him as his soul begins to crack. In truth he's forgotten about his end of the bargain entirely, and throws something together on the spot. He figures pick up lines were either supposed to be ridiculously cute, or really funny. He doesn't know which category his falls in, but he can only hope it manages to sway her.
"I hope you get a good laugh outta that, no one has gotten me to say anything that ridiculous in at least 15 years."He thinks back on how it all began, reflecting on how funny it was, Seeing as this whole thing began with an honest slip of the tongue, now they find themselves here a day and a half later. He stands stretching a moment a genuine smile plastered across his face before offering a hand to help her up. "Care for a long walk on the beach, before dinner?" It was entirely cliched, but Hoenn had beautiful beaches and sunsets alike why waste it?
Did Miles stutter? With a blink and a tilt of her head to show her bewilderment at the response she received. He seemed to have recovered soon enough and with it so did Syndra in her neutral standing position. After declaring that he had decidedly figured out a pick up line since the afternoon the girl shook her head, not believing that he had actually done what she said. Then she shook her head again in disbelief when he started up. By the end of it there was a pause. A silence that fell over the scene as the young lady stood there processing the words. Immediately her right hand shot up to hide her lips as her laughter could hardly be contained by her will alone any longer after figuring that was the end. "That-" more stifled laughter overrode her attempt at words, "was so cheesy yet creepy it's ridiculous," she managed to say after the laughter died down to flits of giggling. Her right hand had since moved down to her chest as if to support her lungs after that. Miles realized it of course and Syndra was glad that he did rather than sounding like she was tearing apart his pick up lines one by one.
"At least you're admitting its ridiculous, but since you wasted your time coming up with something so silly I'll hang out with you." A smile remained on her face as she was still relatively entertained by the events so far. The red head would be the first to stand up and as she was about to do the same, saw the hand offered to her along with the question presented to her. Thinking about it, this was what she signed up for when rushing to petalburg: Beautiful beaches and honestly who could resist a scenic sunset reflecting over the ocean. It might have been cliche but cliche works otherwise it wouldn't be a cliche. Placing her hand into his to assist in standing to her feet, she replied, "If that's your thing then by all means. Lead the way."
"Well I'm happy you got a good laugh out of it if nothing else." He rolls his eyes halfway pouting as he helps her up. "It seemed to work well enough seeing as it had you floored for a minute or two, and if I remember correctly didn't I say the next one would floor you?" He leads her to the sandy shores as opposed to just walking on the boardwalk, "So that sounds like an accomplished goal to me." His face shone with a cheesy grin as he guided them close enough to watch the tides hit the sand but keep them dry. He wasn't really planning on getting wet.
He walks in silence for a moment just appreciating the atmosphere, a beautiful day a nice sunset reflecting off the oceans surface, and a cool person by his side he smirks, "So what exactly led you to come out? I kinda goofed it up back on the route, and I was almost certain you wouldn't show. Was there anything in particular change your mind? My charming sense of humor maybe, or was it my dazzling smile that changed your mind?" If there was one thing he was at least slightly skilled at it had to be sarcasm no questions asked. Following that was 'taking things that didn't belong to him.' It was something he had a knack for, but wasn't entirely proud of.
"Regardless I'm happy you decided to come out, and give a goof like me the time of day, so uh... Thanks I guess." He's more bashful as he thanks her, stopping suddenly soon after. It's apparent that he's listening to the waves. Watching them crash and recede in an eternal cycle, He realizes what he's done before offering an explanation, "You know it's said that sometimes you can here voices in the waves, the old more... 'superstitious' natives think it's the voice of Hoenn itself." Hoenn was a lore heavy region the oldest generation was by far the most superstitious holding a number of stories and rumors having to do with the region's creation and its people. Most which having to do with the pokemon that created the land and the pokemon that created the sea. He doesn't believe there's much truth to the legends but he found the stories particularly interesting growing up. Was it really a topic for an outing like this? Well he was about to find out.
You ever hear the legend of how Hoenn was created?
To be honest, Syndra could not exactly remember what statement the red head claimed when saying he'd make up another pick up line. Going with it regardless of that was the correct choice no matter that so Syndra once again shook her head. "Whatever you want to say that helps you get through the rest of the night huh?" It was a necessary jab or else she was sure that Miles would get a big head. Once getting on the sandy beaches, the green haired girl found it harder to keep a leveled footing. As she stepped forward the sands would give way to her weight and spread outward unevenly which made walking more unpredictable. That should have been obvious but she wasn't that familiar with visiting beaches with her family history and all. Never did she lose her balance however and kept pace with Miles as he traversed the expanses of the sandy shoreline. If anything Syndra additionally played off any inconsistency with a playful attitude of skipping around and playing with the sand with her feet. "Because if I didn't then you would still have been sitting on the boardwalk alone looking stood up," she answered simply as she hopped to a standstill to look over towards the waves which folded into white lines to contrast the blue and magenta from the ocean and sky itself.
The female trainer took a mental picture of the scenic image then returned to the question at hand, ignoring the sarcasm that rang through the otherwise sappy scene. "It would also be awkward the next time we met again wouldn't it? I made it to Petalburg so there was less of a reason not to than there was against it. Also you're welcome," the last part was said in a jokingly mocking tone. Coming to a stop was fine enough and without a word Syndra complied by holding her hands together behind her back gracefully as she began to listen to her surroundings as well. The waves as well as the wingulls cry. It was all fairly relaxing and far from what she was used to at home. There was no reason for her to question it but Miles provided an explanation to which she listened in among the rest of the sounds. The concept of voices of the waves sounded like the same one when people say you hear the waves in conch shells but Syndra nodded in understanding while giving a wondering, "Oh?" She never really believed much in superstition and when it came to lore, in spite of the fact that she frequently studied pokemon and hoenn in preparation for her journey, it mostly eluded her aside from basic facts. As she wasn't exactly a native of hoenn there was much that eluded her about the region. "Bits and pieces. Something relating to the fight between Groudon and Kyogre if I remember."

"No mercy huh." A softer much more nervous laugh escapes him. As a wind passes he slides his hands in his pockets the waves crashing into the sand before him an inch or two more, and he'd have gotten wet. "Not many people these days are interested in the stories and lore behind the region. "Story telling... is a dying art, but for some, stories are all you have left to remember those who told them." His smile is ever present, but a tinge of sadness rests in his eyes now. "It's... kinda sad when you think about it, ya know?" He pauses for a moment the only thing signaling him to continue being the crash of the next wave.
"Anyways you're right essentially." His eyes sad seem to grow ever more distant now focused on the ever setting sun once more. Stars finally begin to show themselves overhead. Just as the crashing waves on the tropical sands cycled eternally the sun and the moon were also trapped in a cycle of their own. "There are two major clashes in Hoenn lore or so the legends say." He uses his hands to help tell the tale making certain motions to help share his story. "Eons ago when human life was still fresh on the earth Kyogre and Groudon were locked in a stalemate Groudon creating more land to oppose Kyogre's eternal sea. Groudon initially having arisen from what was once an Underwater Volcano, while Kyogre emerged from one of the deepest trenches in the ocean. The two were creatures made to oppose each other and fought to a stalemate for what may have been centuries on end. The battle actually forming the raw land known as Hoenn. However once the land formed and life seemed able to prosper A third beast came from the skies using a mystical power to quell the two legendary pokemon forcing them into a deep sleep." He finishes part once almost lost entirely in the story snow. A number of emotions running through him. Nervousness, sadness, nostalgia and happiness all mixing together forming the strange blur that was his existence at the moment.
"People understanding how their region was created worshiped both the pokemon of the land, and the Pokemon of the sea. In the end they managed to create two jewels to imbued with mystic energies. These stones had the power to awaken the two legendary pokemon at great cost. Years pass, and in time humans as they do succomb to their greed and decide to wake both pokemon in an attempt to control them for war, however only after summoning the two did the people realize they were impossible to control. The colossal legends began their fight anew, their strength too much for the people of the region to take. They had one hope, call down the Sky Pokemon and quell the fighting. After all if it could do it once, it would have the power to quell the two rampaging pokemon again. The sky pokemon of course came however quickly realized it didn't have the strength to stop the two pokemon again, and was injured greatly in the fight between the legends. As the sky pokemon was about to be killed the boy who managed to summon the sky pokemon fell to his knees in prayer asking the universe for a miracle. Seeing this many more people dropped to their news following suit begging for a second chance, and at the last possible second their was was granted , the sky pokemon was renewed entirely. Somehow managing to the quell the pokemon of land and sea once again, putting both the pokemon of Land and Sea to rest before finding peace itself flying back into the heavens." It was a time less story told in so many different ways with so many different nuances and quirks that truly gave his region life.
"It's said that the people managed to learn from their mistakes, and swore never to unlock the legendary power of the two pokemon again, allowing them to fall back into legend where they belonged. To show their resolve the people destroyed the two orbs that brought about this disaster and scattered their dust to the various corners of the region preventing anyone from bringing such tragedy once again." Memories of his youth flood him he still remember the first time he heard this story was over fifteen years ago, but sill it feels just like yesterday. "They say Hoenn's unstable weather serve as a testament to the great battle the two pokemon fought all those centuries ago." As he finishes he digs his hands into the warm keeping him still.
"I first heard this story here, on this beach a little under a decade and a half ago. Being the cocky little jerk I was, I swam out too far into the ocean, and almost drowned. When I was rescued I was hysterical, I just cried and screamed until someone started telling this story, as I got more involved, the quieter I became until I eventually fell asleep." He looks at the stars now shining entirely the sun waving a final farewell the red sunset fading more with each passing second.
"Sorry that was a bit too deep, I probably put you to sleep with my rambling." he falls back into his normal persona calling himself out all the while. "As you can see I'm obviously not too skilled when it comes to hanging out. How about you tell me a little bit about your story? Enticing young woman with a cute laugh, has a talent for battling, and finding strange awkward guys with bad pick up lines decides to start her journey in the beautiful tropics of Hoenn. There has to be more to it than that, right?"

It became increasingly obvious that her current company enjoyed history or the stories of the centuries. The shifting tone and body language as he spoke and retold of the historic legend gave everything away. She listened, of course, to every word being said it mingled with the rest of the sounds around her. The waves lapping over each other made the story come to life a tad as symbolically it was similar to the fight between land and sea. The waters conquering the sands and then receding as if retreating from a defeat. A salty sea breeze flowed through and caressed Syndra's cheek as the sky dragon was introduced to which the girl identified it's description to be Rayquaza on paper. There were no interruptions from her and before long the story ended. There was no way to know if all that was true but it was something to keep in mind. The knowledge could have been useful down the line somewhere.
There was a throwback to the man's past as he apparently felt comfortable confiding in Syndra about the past. Suddenly wondering when the conversation and atmosphere got so serious, the girl was not sure how to respond. It displayed why he liked stories and history in theory and all female trainer could think of to do was softly pat Miles on the shoulder to bring him back to reality or comfort him. "Not at all. It is good to know history or else we might repeat the same mistakes." She placed her hands back behind her back as she twirled around in place for fun. Again there was another apology to which the green haired trainer ignored if only because she didn't think such a thing was necessary. Then there was the questioning of her past.
Syndra didn't like talking about her past too much since it gave away information about her that she may not want released if she wasn't too careful about it. It was good to reflect on the past but it had only been a few days away from her home so her memories good and bad remained fresh. "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm," she hummed in thought as if debating if she wanted to answer him or not. Why Miles wanted to learn about her was a question that arose in her mind but it wasn't as if Syndra had much to hide. "There isn't much to tell about my life. The life I lived before this was a paltry one where I rarely saw my parents and we hardly had enough to get by. I grew up learning much out of necessity. So I left. I decided that this journey to see the world was something that was worth my time." She left out the part where she left to release burdens on her family. That wasn't necessary. Any conclusions of why Syndra left, such as abandoning her parents or due to her own selfish were none of her concern. This was the route she chose after all and she didn't need verification from anyone for her own choices. "I come from a place where pokemon aren't as plentiful as they are here. I studied them but when it comes to the real experience, it doesn't compare."
Before things got too sappy or deep, Syndra turned around and began to skip away playfully. As if the atmosphere hadn't been serious, she spread her arms out and twirled around to relieve whatever tense energy could have lingered. With sun was almost completely hidden behind the horizon line now and the stars were glinting in the otherwise dark night sky, she took the cue to move on. "It's getting late. We should be heading over to this restaurant of yours before the closing times force you to raincheck it for a later time."

He can relate when it comes to not having much growing up, 'paltry' was a kind way to describe it. Constant money troubles weren't uncommon in his household, it's what prompted a number of choices in his life, some of which he wasn't exactly proud of. She continues for a moment before standing and twirling in the moonlight, a sign to move on as it was getting late, and it was a topic that didn't need to be pushed, Not to mention ready for the meal she rightfully deserves, the one he promised. He gets up slowly shrugging resignedly, "aye aye..." The smile on his face ever present as he jogs lightly to catch up with the woman. "You've seen through my plan, distract you long enough to avoid dinner." A raised eyebrow and a twisted smile accompany his latest quip. He can feel the grains of sand shifting beneath him as he continues to walk hyper aware of the situation, once again over thinking what he should do and say. He feels his temperature increase and his eyes dilate but stil manages to speak anyways. Allowing the conversation to branch on as they walked.
"So has the journey been everything you thought it'd be so far?" He manages not to stutter, thanking his constitution for not falling apart on him entirely. A few minutes ago he was able to tell entire stories without a flinch, now he couldn't get past a sentence or two without the grace of god backing him. Why was this nervousness of his so temperamental? He can't help but question silently. "Guess that's not a good question since we only started this whole pokemon thing a couple of days ago huh? How about this then, where in Hoenn are you looking most forward to going?" he changes the question on the fly as the two make their way back towards the city lights.
With some form of reluctant agreement, the red head had came up to join Syndra as she reflected Miles' smile with her own. There was something about distracting her long enough to not have dinner to which she ignored as a joke with a laugh. This time the girl didn't notice anything different about the male as they walked likely due to her interest in food considering all she had for the past days or so were berries, even before the journey. She was aware of her surroundings on the other hand so she noticed when asked a question. A question that caused her brow to raise and the question quickly changed to something more appropriate. The girl did not mind answering the first question but she was sure that he had already known about her opinion of half the first part of her journey so far.
After thinking for a moment, a small silence filling the evening air. Then with a smile she spoke with a light cheery tone. "Nowhere yet everywhere at the same time." Perhaps that was a vague answer and it was not meant to be so. For a minute she decided to let him think on her answer before she further clarified her statement. "I started this journey for the journey itself. I'm not looking forward to going to one specific place but I'm looking forward to seeing all this region has to offer." Syndra inhaled deeply and the scent of the night on the beach seemed different than during the sunset. The atmospheric temperature dropped a few degrees once the sun had disappeared and replaced with the moon, one thing that Syndra was glad did not change where ever she traveled. "The experience and the sights are enough to keep me interested in wherever I go. Which reminds me, what type of restaurant are we going to?"
[attr="class","sv3"] This is a candied world, and it spreads like fire. When it devours me I call the burning 'fun', but I never really was the purist one. Though I try to cleanse my soul with every sun. And I just get deeper in the same shit but doesn't everyone? Close my eyes and play along.
"It's not about the destination, it's about the journey." A slow nod accompanies his understanding as they continue on. Sand becomes wood as they get closer to their destination, her question is something to be expected, "Don't really know how to explain it. in terms of food they serve a variety of things, it's not super popular, but it has an atmosphere I really can appreciate you know. I know it doesn't look like it, but I can get pretty lost up here, sometimes. A friend of mine told me about this place a year or two back when I was visiting Petalburg on business." Something he hasn't elaborated on for good reason.
"Anyways it's a Kalosian restaurant of sorts, I don't know the story but for some reason the owner decided to set up shop here in Hoenn seeing as it's still open business has been booming apparently." He points at it in the distance, "It's not particularly large or showy, but the food is killer, in fact you can see it now." The restaurant sits on the outside of town overlooking the sea from the hill it sits atop. It's a small brick house establishment looking more like a home than an eatery, to be entirely honest. As the two move closer delicate aromas quickly intensify leaving little to be desired. He opens the door for her, and the establishment is almost as homey as it looks from the outside a number of tables and seating arrangements lined against the stone-esque walls. "Would you like indoor or outdoor seating?" a server asks as they enter. Miles shrugs casually leaving the choice to Syndra. "I'm good with either."
He understood. That was good. As the male explained their destination her eyes became distracted by the change of environment as they moved further towards the edges of Petalburg. "Business huh? Didn't know you used to work in the first place," she quipped but dug no further on the subject. The way he spoke fondly of the area revealed to her that he had frequented Petalburg a decent amount of times. At the words of a Kalos restaurant the girl chuckled if only due to her interest and mild excitement. Kalos was known for refinery and the like so she perked up with interest to have that type of food. Then again after having only berries to eat for days anyone would be excited to have anything but. As she spotted the place she hummed with acceptance of the place and with the current rave review Syndra had less worries about her choice of coming out. Not that she had many in the first place anyway.
Upon entry she smiled towards Miles with a quick thank you as he held the door for her. They were greeted by the server and asked where to be seated. She expected Miles to make the decision but the choice was passed off onto the girl. At least the decision was easy. "Outside. It would be a waste being indoors when there's beautiful scenery outside with the stars." Indeed if anyone appreciated scenery it was Syndra. With that the server nodded and lead the duo to the outdoor balcony that looked more like a comforting patio. Once out there Syndra had ran over towards the railings to look out to see the forest trees not too far out. The beach breeze lingered ever so slightly and with an inhale the scent of delicious foods and delicacies lifted her spirits up. Worth. The server had since walked over to a table and motioned for them to sit to which Syndra would eventually do. "Lemonade, please," the green haired girl stated as the server asked for their drinks. She waited for Miles to make his order before speaking to him again of course. "Planning on sticking around in Petalburg or will you be taking off to Rustboro sometime soon?"

A good choice. The temperature was nice, and it allowed the two to enjoy a wonderful starlight dinner on the hilltop. The waiter guides the two outside seating them quickly after the woman chose, the waiter seems to give the red head a look, but he thinks nothing of it. They move past a number of tables and through a glass door leading to a balcony esque patio of sorts filled with another assortment of tables. He can hear the wind blow through the trees below in a way some would call the scene dramatic, he'd call it dynamic. The server places then menus on a table having effectively guided the two to the table disappears back into the restaurant for the moment. The sea breeze washes over him while he picks through the menu, while the green haired woman runs over to the railing to get a better picture of the landscape. he can't help but look up watching her from the table happy she was enjoying herself. Moments later both she and the waiter at the table ordering her drink, she decides on a lemonade, while he orders an iced coffee. An odd choice yes, however coffee in the evening was always sort of comforting to him. It was a habit he picked up during his first year of college and something that's remained since. It wasn't exactly healthy, but he had a number of vices one more wouldn't hurt.
"Well you seem to be enjoying yourself." it's a jaunty statement, but he rolls his eyes nonetheless. "You know without all this water we wouldn't have this peaceful sea breeze, you know?" an offhanded statement about Hoenn's number one complaint follows the first. He looks over yonder deciding not to leave his seat, "You know it's still a little surreal. Half a year ago I would have never guessed I'd end up here. It's wild how the world works..."
A jab at her water complaint from before. She chuckles at it remembering the moment she said it and her other meetings afterward where similar conversations came up to which she'd use to support herself. "I'll have you know that I'm not the only one that thinks there is too much water. I met at least one other person that also noticed this region is half ocean." With the breeze the girl found herself having to brush back a few stray locks of hair backwards, a motion she did now as she spoke of it. "Also without the ocean we would not have all this humidity but there are no pros without their cons," she stated playfully without hiding the truth to her words. As Miles looked on into the distance her gaze followed his outwards. He spoke again as well but it seemed more introspective than towards her. Considering her background Syndra could not help but agree with that statement. It was only a few days ago she had to essentially raise to boys with no money or parental guidance.
Yet this wasn't about her. She was not sure if she should have said anything about it or even question it. She did anyway, "Ohh?" she held the sound of her oh to show her curiosity and so he'd realize he was speaking aloud in case he had not meant to. "How so? You never did elaborate much on your story." There was space in case the male decided not to share and in either case the female would have sat there and listened to whatever it was the two would decide to talk about. "Not that you have to if you don't want to."

"You're right, there are pros and cons to most things in life honestly, but right now I can't help but feel the positives far outweigh the negatives." He brushes his hair back slightly the breeze brushing against it. The waiter soon comes back with his drink ready to take their actual orders, he orders a fish dish with a number of apostrophes in strange places, before Syndra orders her own meal. He hands the menu back the waiter still giving him an odd look, he has an inkling as to why, but chooses to ignore him in favor of his companion for the evening.
As the waiter leaves she asks about his own past. His eyes widen for a moment and he laughs nervously. "Well I'm not really that special. Didn't have a lot of money growing up, got into a lot of fights in school was generally a bad kid. When the bills came around I dropped out for a couple of years helping keep the household on track until it was.. inconsequential." He searches for a word wondering the best way to describe his loss. "I went back to school managed to get a degree from a small two year college, and here I am. On this journey to really find myself I suppose." There was a lot more to him a lot he felt the need to hide, for obvious reasons so he'd leave the topic of his past there. "Now I'm here eating dinner with a clever young lady who I hope is having a good time on this...dare I say, date." He says the word he's been avoiding if only to cover the previous topic entirely, wondering how'd she respond the comment.
