hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

cass is magma leader. she's power hungry, ambitious, and hard-working. if you're in the way, she's not afraid to mow you down to get what she wants. she's stubborn. on the other hand, cass can be pretty polite. caring, even, but she doesn't show it. cass isn't good with her emotions, especially with romance. she tries to get into relationships, but they just can't really work. she can't trust people - she's always paranoid that they'll cheat on her because of a past relationship. in the end, she can end up with a lot of enemies and maybe a couple close friends.
cain is more of a disposable criminal type. he's very low, even lower than a grunt sometimes since rory basically owns him. he's in debt to the aqua leader, and with the increasing interest he can't seem to pull himself out of the hole he's created. cain is rather reckless with money. he'll spend it on pointless things and gifts for people even though he knows it's bad. cain definitely loves people -- he hates to be alone. he'll get along with everbody as long as they're not rude.

emma's your standard eleven year old. naive. chirpy. innocent. her goal is to become the pokemon champion, and nothing's going to stop her from doing it. except for possibly her own fears about losing and type disadvantages and getting lost. sometimes she'll need a guide, but otherwise emma will always get into trouble somehow. she hates to be patronized and over-protected, so don't coddle her because she'll leave you in an instant.
Lamia's the girl Rory cheated on Cass with. Idk if Cass confronted her in the past but let's just suppose she didn't lmao and instead that Rory only told her Lamia's name. So, several days later, they find themselves at a bar and somehow are introduced...Cass hears her name. OoooOoo
Plus, Lamia's the opposite of Cass. She's clam, cool, rational, like water. Cass is explosive, dangerous, ambitions, like fire. So at some point something happens, and Cass is like what the hell did he even see in her? and she'd respond with: "You're the fool that actually assumed he was a good person."
» so i'm contemplating having cael here join team magma down the road (if he had blue hair, it would have been aqua lel) for that sweet CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. his brother is apart of the team, so it wouldn't be all too far-fetched, however i don't see cael looking to sign up any time soon what with being a new trainer and all. but perhaps if he meets cass, maybe she can sway his thoughts? he could have potentially heard of her before from his brother, or heck, maybe even seen a pic cause his brother sounds like he'd be that kind of admire-from-afar stalker idk.
though anything could happen on their first meeting, but i think cael would respect cass overall. she has admirable qualities (in his opinion) although he may not admit it if they were to buttheads. maybe he starts to look up to her as a role model even? cael doesn't do that often, and he might make poor attempts in trying to impress her.
rory && Lamia Sinclair && cassandra cain JUST DROPPING BY TO SAY i think cass could find out just by visiting rory when lamia's there with him in his apartment. he also tries to play it off by saying lamia's just a normal aqua grunt and that they are partners.

CAEL DARCEY & cass i like this 8) maybe she knows him because she knows his brother and she's pretty cool w/ everybody in magma. she's actually v lonely because she works a lot and doesn't want having close friends to distract her ;o; cass would probably view him more as a subordinate rather than equal, so if she gives him orders maybe they can butt heads that way? i can see them being friends or a mentor/student relationship after a while 8)
» a mentor/student sort of thing sounds good to me. in which case, even if he's not apart of magma, i feel he'd do things for her just because he has that much respect for her. so contrary to him hating it when people give him orders, this could potentially be a situation where he bows "yes command me, milady"

I think you get the point, before I embarrass myself further.
Contemplating on this one a whole lot. I think Fiona and Cassandra would be wonderful friends in my opinion. When Cass gets into one of her sour moods, she could always go to Fiona who would intently listen and somewhat reply (and Cassandra goes into some sort of outburst). It's a possibility that Fiona would be one of those people Cassandra drunk calls saying, "Fiona...I love you very very much, can you take me home?" all in slurs or something lol. The way they met is possibly when Cass was incredibly drunk and Fiona, who didn't know any better took Cass to a close-by hotel and made her sleep (but Cassandra is all "nah man, imma tell you about this s.o.b"). Close friends would possibly work for these two and the next day when they meet up again, Fiona would probably offer her aspirin and as Cassandra tries to thank the girl, she's interrupted and Fiona then notices that she's the Magma leader and try to slink away. What do you think? o/

UH SO IM REALLY BAD WITH GETTING BACK AT PLOTTERES.
CALYPSO FREYJOLD & cass sounds good, cass would find her rly annoying but she would probably ignore or avoid her at first. maybe cass will get used to her presence eventually? otherwise it's an open book, we can start out from there. 8)
fiona devoir and cass yeee cass would totally depend on her to tak eher home when she's rly drunk. she would totally rant to her about her life and such. she wouldn't notice that fiona's in magma since she's so quiet and such so we can totally do that B)

NIA & CASS Well. Dang. Other than the fact that they are opposite teams, they seem like they would get along really well. D: I was thinking they could be frienemies maybe. Nia would always treat her like a friend no matter the place. She wouldn't agree with Cass and how she wants to rule the world / that whole land mass thing, but she doesn't really agree with Aqua's way of going about it either. So. Yeah. Baha. There is that? We could always have them meet and not realize that they are of those teams. Off duty basically. I imagine that Cass hangs at bars and stuff and Nia would be drinking right along side her, shoot. So yeah. There is that idea. c: thoughts?

cassandra cain I very much think that Nia would tempt Rory, if only because she wouldn't realize it at first that Cass and him were serious / to test and make sure Rory was serious about Cass, and then she'd be shipping the snot out of the both of them and be giving them baby names and telling them she wants to be called Auntie Neenee....
AS FAR AS THIS NEW LITTLE MUNCHKIN~ Nia would baby him and constantly try and get him to grow a pair. She would get annoyed at how he lacks strength but she would also understand that he's still kinda young. She would prompt him to try and be better. She is a bit abrasive though. So she might come off as mean or rough... lol. But def gonna be some fun there. Pre much Make a Man Outta You like Mulan style up in here. LOL
HAHA YES TOO CUTE. i'll doubt they'll ever have children because cass is rather uncomfortable w/ the thought, but she would still rly like nia as a friend regardless yeah they're buds \o/
