"arceus."
andrea stared.
"arceus."
eyes widening in terror, she could only watch, frozen in place as her snivy faced a double dose of the powerful ice affiliated attack. it didn't help that the first instantly knocked it out, but the second encased its body in a thick frost. the pokemon twitched before going still, his eyes remaining open.
"jester!"
her drunken state of mind refused to allow andrea to react calmly to such a serious situation. and, eventually, hysterics took place as she rushed toward the young snivy and pressed the limp body against her bosom. he was terribly cold, and didn't respond at all to her touch.
"oh god. oh god," she panted. "jester. c'mon. snap out of it."
she shook the grass-type, and did something she'd rarely ever done - burst into tears.
"jester. c'mon."
ignoring what was occurring all around her, andrea continued to try to warm the tiny thing with her natural body heat.

He can feel her spittle hit his face as she drunkenly refutes him, instead using a number of expletives to call calling him out before she the accented woman turns away from him having denied his order and attempts to disappear in the crowd. As she walks away gaining distance from the man he glances over at Syndra still sitting down. "I suppose we have to do it the hard way, I don't dislike that." The green haired girl is proactive something he appreciates.
He was right to choose Syndra for the job the multicolored beam flies true twice over striking the drunk women's pokemon down immediately. He stands now walking over to the collapsed girl, giving Syndra a thankful nod as he passes her. The black haired girl holds the injured grass type to her bosom now his smile just as calm as it was when the two were back at the table. His sense of expression by no means matches his words.. "It's a shame... Truly a shame. A pokemon suffering for your error. How unfortunate." He crouches next to the panicking woman his expression unchanging, "At times like these I tend to wonder, what people could have done differently. How could we have prevented this?"Despite the serenity in his tone his eyes are cast down upon the girl watching her with a sense of disdain. It's only now Lucario appears at the trainers side crouching down next to the trainer truly loyal.
"This is your first punishment." His voice is barely above a whisper now, "If you continue to disobey me I promise I will ruin you. I will crush everything you wish to protect." His voice still cheerful as he continues, "However if you tell me what you know, what you did I can save your pokemon. As you said I am a ranger."

I WILL GRAB MY FREEDOM WITH MY OWN HANDS.
He had been there moments before, but seemed to find himself bringing in less interaction than he hoped he would have. When troops started pouring into the gala, it brought him into shock, and chaos was ensued. Granted… part of him, a much darker part, reveled in the chaos. That in turn just made the lighter part of him more disgusted. That part of him had whispered in his mind that it’d be a good way to see how people behave under sudden pressure, but he pushed it down instantly and snuck around the chaos to avoid as much combat as possible.
He brought out three pokemon just encase; his Litwick which was already out and hiding amongst the shadows, his Beedrill and his Cyndaquil. The latter decided to take place on his shoulder, and was staring around with puffs of smoke coming from its back. The few pats on his head was the only thing to remind him not to engage right away.
His Litwick gives a noise of distress, something unusual for her. It draws Sam’s attention instantly, and the ghost was seen pointing in the direction of a scene. All Sam was trying to do was find a safe area to switch sides without being noticed; he had his uniform with him. Unfortunately that was going to wait, and he rushed towards where the Litwick was panicking. Buzzing of a bee following behind him, but he was unsure if that would be heard above the noise… The buzzing was pretty loud.
But his heart nearly drowned it out at the noise of familiar panic. Geez, he was suppose to be on the opposing side but he’s too nice. And that dark thought was swallowed down too, completely ignoring the stranger next to the familiar face.
He frowned.
“Singe, ignite.” He whispered to the baby shrew pokemon, it gave a tilt of his head followed by a nod and jumped down from Sam’s shoulder and ran towards the female. His back lit up, and he gave a few noises to try and get attention. “...What happened?” He spoke up, not even turning to look at the ranger. He was focused on rustling through is pockets for medicine. He didn’t know what was going on, but she was in hysterics.
Sam pulled out a full heal from his pocket. He gave a small hissing sound and walked to kneel on the other side of Andrea, where his Cyndaquil was. Opening his hand with the full heal out to her, he gave her a soft nudge and spoke. “You okay? Think this full heal with help?” His voice sounded like it held a warm smile, but if one were to look at his face it was a completely flat line.
He called up out to his beedrill that was circling overhead. “Keep lookout and make sure nothing comes near us. Send needles and stringshots flying to anyone who tries.” The beedrill made a ‘drilllll’ noise in response and seemed to gain attention. Its posture was protective as if it was trying to guard a nest.

It's just no use with these people. The man sighs as a nameless face makes his way over in attempts to heal the girl's pokemon. It's commendable honestly, but it's also against his own motives in a sense. Lucario eyes focus on the brunette haired boy reading his aura. In the pokemon feels a sense of longing and confusion from the boy emotions he doesn't entirely understand, the dog like pokemon nods at his trainer a means to say he's not a threat or at least not currently. He wonders if the boy will listen to reason, if not he'll be forced to take action even he considers unnecessary at this point.
"Young man, before you help her know this. She has what Magma wants, she is the means behind this chaos, if you help this girl know that you're aiding and abetting a criminal and I will take you down. You look honest enough if not, entirely too foolish." His eyes lock with the man's pink irises meet brown. "Understand what you're getting yourself into. This may be your only way out." he finishes calmly waiting on the boy's decision.
His are cast toward both Syndra and Erick making sure the two are ready to strike if it indeed comes to blows between the groups.

"What's this?! My people need me!" - Broski, aka Swinub
Broski was finished with his work against the Mightyena and Lairon; how many times could he possibly try to freeze them before he succeeded? Regardless of their condition, it was the shrieking sound of a familiar face that rung in his ears. Andrea-senpai!? Broski flushed with passion, and then with rage. He slid down Gyarados' back and entered the crowd of trainers, searching for senpai.
WHERE ARE YOU SENPAI!? Dress shoes were kicking him about, eager to escape the building as it seemed to verge on collapse. Gotta find senpai, gotta go fast! Andrea was one of the first trainers to show Broski any remote tenderness, barring Dmitri. He wanted nothing but good things for her; what was happening now?
'Swinub!' Step back! Broski dipped inbetween a few of the trainers surrounding Andrea, who was clutching a pokemon riddled with rime across its entire body. He poked slowly towards the pokemon, scampering up unto her thigh where she kneeled, clutching Jester to her chest.
*Oink oink.* He started nudging his sloppy pig nose against Andrea, to show he was there, before assailing Jester with an unstoppable onslaught of cutesy pig kisses. *Oink oink.* He could feel how cold Snivy had become, and started licking at him to leech the cold from him. Broski wasn't a stranger to the icy tundra; he was warm enough for two.
*Several sloppy oinks and pig kisses later. He had overtaken Andrea's grip on Jester, pressing himself up against Snivy to start warming him up. Broski licked at his face, trying to stir it from its unconscious state. He could feel the cold slowly ebbing away, but it wasn't enough on its own.
He wouldn't leave her, not now. Anybody who dared infringe upon her rights or violate her duty to her pokemon would be subject to his bitter ire.

I WILL GRAB MY FREEDOM WITH MY OWN HANDS.
Had the situation not been so dire to begin with, Sam would have burst out laughing. Not because he found what the other said funny, no, but because of the irony behind the man’s words. It would make his job horrendous if he was afraid of the law, and so the man’s threats didn’t even remotely phase him. So he was silent, holding a hand over his baby Cyndaquil protectively, yet enough so that the fire didn’t hurt his hand. Singe moved away from his protective-ness when another figure moved into the picture, forcibly taking the Snivy from the hysterical Andrea’s hands and trying to warm it up. Singe moved his way to the other person, avoiding the swinub, and started up its flames again.
After staring at the Beedrill above a few moments to make sure it wouldn’t attack the helping trainer, Sam sighed and gave a dark look to the ranger. “You expect me to take your menial threats to heart, when you, as a ranger, would let a young lady’s pokemon die?” He held back a growl rising from his throat, but his words held force. Little did the teen ever get angry, but this man being a ranger to begin with instantly made it easy to press his buttons. His eyes showed this somewhat, flashes of something that had past years ago went by instantly, and the young adult moved to stand up. Yet, the position he held was still fairly protective of Andrea.
“How would you know Andrea is any of that? Do you have any proof?” His tone stayed demanding and cold, things he normally never allowed to stay in his voice. He wouldn’t admit to hating a ranger, he didn’t hate much, but they always proved themselves to be incompetent and more selfish than the stereotypes of both Aqua and Magma combined. After a while Sam went into silence as if contemplating something, in deep thought. He looked around at the chaos in the room, ignoring the dark feeling in his gut that told him to participate in the destruction.
When he spoke up again, that dark thing flashed in his eyes once more. “I could care less if you tried to bring me into custody. Andrea is a close friend, and that means more than your silly little stuck-up organization.” One could be shocked at his behaviour towards a police officer. However, he was more surprised his uniform had gone unnoticed. This was a formal dance, and it resulted in him having to carry the change of clothes under his arm and hope it wasn’t seen because getting a bag was harder than it looked.
“If you and your lackies try to stop me from saving a life, I will personally end yours.” After a moment passed, he had growled out the last part. “I won’t let another life be wasted because you damn officers were too ignorant to help.”

andrea's pattern of breathing grew uneven. her chest rising and falling as the ranger's words brushed against her sense of hearing and sunk into her mind. they punctured a tender portion of her heart as she realized that the man fully intended to allow her snivy to die if she didn't offer up the information he desired.
"holy shit. he was right," she whispered.
she remembered julius's words - and the mere thought of him brought her comfort.
"he was fucking right about all of ya."
andrea's head suddenly turned toward ven, her pupils pinpricks as absolute shock caused her features to twist. she had thought the rangers weren't that bad. perhaps they were heavily flawed, yes, but she assumed that they at least invest some time toward aiding both pokemon and humans in need.
to sink this low was just fucking bad.
"ya only care about yer fucking selves. jester's dying and ya honestly don't give a fuck!"
she struggled to maintain her calm, mouth gaping as she breathed. andrea's eyes grew red.
"jester didn't do shit! and ya don't care! if ya were going to attack someone it should have been me..."
andrea muttered these words. and as broski wormed his way into her lap and sam defended her - with his magma insignia marking him for all to see - she released another quiet sob.
"jester. my baby," she whispered.
she hunched over the ice-type as he snuggled into jester and offered his warmth to the pokemon.
"broski," she whimpered. "sam."
the coordinator buried her head into the lovable creature's warmth, feeling the pokemon's love as she inhaled his scent.
"thank you," she muttered, the corner of her lips twitching upward to form a small smile
with trembling fingers, she managed to calm herself enough to hurriedly accept the full heal. and she made sure that snivy was given an adequate dose. the pokemon blinked his eyes open, the frost melting away a moment later. shifting tiredly and yawning in his mistress's arm, he nuzzled into broski and singe with a low hum.
"thank you."
she peered up at beedril, litwick, and even the cyndaquil who offered his warmth. she cast syndra and ven a distrustful look before moving to distance herself from them, relying upon sam's pokemon to offer her protection as she did so.

One by one, the affiliates of Team Magma vacated the area, leaving the building in utter defeat. Some were still left behind, but things had begun to quiet down in the room. That was, besides the people surrounding Andrea and harassing her with their pokemon. As Sylvester turned to look at what was going on, his eyes peeled at the mention of the authorities of the region. 'A Ranger? Why just one?'
Looking at the apparent damage they had wreaked upon her pokemon, he turned, calling his Sylveon along with him. "Marley, come." Approaching the group from behind, he could see the long green locks of what appeared to be Syndra Mawdrey, her voice confirming as much. 'She's with this guy?' Yet another reason was given to stop looking at her in the same light as before. 'Even I can be wrong...'
"Is there a reason you're hurting my friend's pokemon?" Two pokeballs were now present within the grip of his two palms, pressing them open and releasing the two pokemon inside them. While Gunther simply stared at them, Flint came out livid with energy, almost as if sensing the mood given off from the room. He screamed and jumped between his two feet, ready for a good fight. "Combusken!"
'He'd better not pull anymore of that authority figure shit now when he's acting a complete hypocrite...'
Pixilate - Lv.18 - Healthy Marley is on Standby!
Blaze - Lv.18 - Healthy Flint is on Standby!

Maybe she should have felt guilt? Terrible that her Spheal was the one that made the other woman cry. Syndra didn't feel that though. Looking at the woman pleading there was nothing else to say. Any decent trainer would have kept some medicine to help their pokemon in such a situation. This also wouldn't have happened if the woman wasn't so defiant or acted in such an abrasive manner. Even after everything she refused to say anything on the aforementioned subject. Downright refused to say anything or attempt a denial to save her own pokemon that she so apparently cared for.
Was this a trap? Was she making another scene? Either way the black haired woman took advantage of it with her tears and the pity of those around her. It was a recognizable farce and the fact it worked well in this situation provided a reason for the green haired girl's deepened ire. No she didn't feel bad about this but she didn't have to feel good either. Soon there were other people coming over and the pity they gave was noteworthy. There were ways to stop it but Syndra just wanted answers. She wasn't cruel.
Releasing her tongue from the grasp that was her jaw biting down to prevent herself from speaking out of turn, the other party goers arrived. Some of which she recognized. All she wanted to do was go to bed and now the threats. In a straight pokemon battle Syndra would have had no problems fighting, even looking at the pokemon that was to be defending her. That said that would be more trouble than it was worth. As the suspect began dashing away Spheal could have easily stopped her with another ice attack but the green haired girl placed her hand down to stop the ice type. Syndra had a problem with attacking people with pokemon and this wasn't going to change. Besides the woman wasn't going to go anywhere. The doors were locked and while escaping was what she wanted until the main problem was stemmed no one would be going anywhere.
Before the Snivy owner left earshot however she did speak, "And I see you care more about yourself than you care about anyone else in this room including your own pokemon." These people were being used and it sickened the girl further in her core. Were people truly like this? Turning to look at the one that called her a lackey her expression remained blank. The statement was ironic to her. "As for you, I am no ranger and I make my own decisions just as you make your own. If you honestly think you can take me on then try me but you seem like a good person. I won't make your pokemon suffer for your mistakes." This person truly didn't seem like a bad person like the other one did. The other one simply provoked her rarely seen anger which led to this situation. While it was true Ven did take the reins here Syndra was doing what she thought was best. It was likely true for all the other trainers that gathered around. Thus she wasn't going to go through with actually fighting the other trainers pokemon unless they attacked her first.
That said how they could defend that person who held such a coarse language with no regard for others was beyond her. "I won't stop you from helping your friend but if it turns out your friend is a criminal then be prepared to shoulder that guilt," her words were meant for those who would still defend the black haired woman. For now Syndra no longer cared to pursue this as it was more trouble that it was worth. As long as she knew then she would know what to look out for in the future. Glancing over at the now half dead magma pokemon that were getting beat to the ground the female turned her back to the situation. It was no longer her problem. "Spheal, let's go "
As she turned back she saw the appearance of the familiar face and pokemon. Shaking her head she couldn't believe it. Not him too. "Of all people..." she murmured. "The same reason you are calling all your pokemon out. I was provoked." Her reply was short but she was starting to develop a headache and didn't think she needed to repeat herself again. The fact that this person was apparently a friend of Sylvester's surprised her but it didn't change what had happened or what wickedness this Andrea person was scheming though that no longer mattered in her eyes. "I wanted to learn the truth behind what was going on since everything else is taken care of. I won't fight you unless you provoke me or are you're stopping me from walking away?"
If that was the way it was and he didn't even ask for her side of the story then perhaps the apparent role model and friend image Sylvester had placed on her was probably a flimsy lie too. With everything weighing down on her life right now another crack in her heart shouldn't change anything.
The fun has to end eventually he supposes. Like roaches these people appear out of the wood work to console the victimized girl sobbing on the floor. His part to play isn't that large, but it definitely doesn't feel bad to be the evil king. Pink eyes fall to each of the girl's suitors or knights as it may have been stand tall each with their own piece to say. He doesn't entirely understand their reasoning for imposing him, was this power of friendship so quintessential to their natures that they'd choose to follow it even when their friend was so clearly in the wrong? He counts each of those opposed his eyes flickering to each one listening intently to what each one has to say.
The brown haired one he warned earlier speaks first his words aren't level laced with an anger he doesn't care to understand. The boy speaks little of substance his friend already having admitted to the wrong doing herself, sobriety wasn't a factor. He's more than willing to sacrifice the girl's pokemon, so the boy isn't entirely wrong. He could care less about the pokemon of some harlot who played a leading role in this madness. However he chooses not to speak. This brown haired child has a strong sense of justice, he's foolish entirely.is heart is in the right place. The ranger does manages to gleam one piece of information from the boy however, the girl's name.
The harlot herself speaks before disappearing into the crowd as her harem of boys defends her, its very cute. Still not the brightest action, but cute nonetheless. The woman is long gone her tears staining the floor as the boys refuse to follow instead choosing to eye the ranger with pitiable defiance. It's now that someone on his own side speaks their part. She calls each of the children out, far more than he could ever care to. Her voice alarms the ranger slightly, but doesn't surprise him. The man's smile still ever present as the group of four continue to glare. Their hatred is almost tangible now. The ranger only feeding off of their feelings his own blood begins to pump with a sort of excitement his sadistic nature internalized entirely.
With the girl having long since vanished now having run with her tail between her legs Ven is left with no real reason to fight, Syndra having realized this as well turns to make her leave already having said what she willed to. Perhaps the raven haired trainer does have a reason, breaking these boys down one by one would be extremely satisfying after all. Crushing them despite having no overarching purpose would feel fantastic this he knows for as fact. Despite his urges it was far too soon to enact any plan so harsh. He's broken the cause of the problem, and perhaps that was enough for one evening, The trigger's punishment had been dealt regardless of its impermanence with this in mind he decides to forego his own pleasures momentarily civility still ringing true in his mind.
On the topic of civility the evening may not have been a complete success, but the ranger has a pretty solid theory as to the cause behind this farce. He wasn't able to seal the deal, not entirely; The announcement, the harlot, even the event itself begins to come together. Pieces are still missing, crucial pieces but he's managed to form the outer layer of the puzzle. An outline to this... scenario of sorts.
"Ah... I've lost." There's neither bitterness nor cheer in his voice. It's a fact he recognizes. In terms of allies at least Lucario could take down any of these pokemon individually, but forcing that on his pokemon was by no means smart. "You four courageous heroes deserve a reward for saving your princess." He speaks casually extending his arm now gesturing to the group. "The princess...The victim... Andrea you said her name was?" Pink irises focus on Sam before glancing over to the other black haired boy whose eyes seemed to follow Ven now watching the ranger like a hypocrite of sorts. "Will be blacklisted by the Ranger Association tomorrow onward. Not quite as intimidating as an arrest, but think of it as probation." Was it unfair? Regardless of the answer it held no consequence. The world was unfair and hypocritical. Regardless of what the black haired boy thinks or believes doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. There's nothing he can do to stop it is there?
With that the man gives a small bow to the four amidst the chaos turning away now. "Or... You could try and stop me." With a final bright smile he walks away wondering if the four are brave enough to attack the man now. His Lucario following close behind now reading the Aura's of the room as the two returned to the chaos themselves.

I WILL GRAB MY FREEDOM WITH MY OWN HANDS.
The intensity of the situation suddenly died down when there was sign that the Snivy had gotten the treatment. Of course, that was mostly to Sam due to the dying pokemon being of his first concern. “It’s no problem.” He answered back with a softer tone than what he had been using earlier, before turning to face the other who had spoken up at Andrea’s retreat.
“I haven’t made any mistakes. Mind you, I never entered this asking for a fight.” He spoke truth, while he was fully aware what he said earlier could – no, would make him appear otherwise his intent was to do a warning. He admitted he was lucky what he said was interpreted as being pokemon against pokemon, because that gave him more leeway that he would gain otherwise. Either way, he doubt his pokemon would ‘suffer’ as the girl put it, but he wouldn’t go out of his way to be the cocky one. As Sam went to open his mouth again to reply to her next comment, she was already moving away and the action caused his mouth to shut. Some fights are better left over with, and with his assumptions on the other wrong there wasn’t much more point.
After she was gone, it was the ranger’s turn to speak. While he would listen, the urge to roll his eyes when the other mentioned “heroes” was very strong. It gave a familiar feel, one of which was mostly directed to those not in rival teams opposing team magma. Heroes, it was a term he disliked, and while he held it back there was disgust that rose in him at being called one. What he did do was give a chuckle when blacklisting was mentioned. He did have a point, it wasn’t as intimidating as an arrest to those not use to crime, but there was a sore point the man missed.
The other who had joined the quarrel just moments earlier, would manage to drown out his earlier chuckle. The resist to groan rose up in his throat; he was one of those people. Regardless, at least he didn’t make the means to go for full on retaliation over the blacklisting. While not necessarily for the same reason he did, at least they were on somewhat of the same page. And while the other began to walk away, the ranger continued with something that made his eye twitch at how smug it sounded. He couldn’t help but break out in a big groan.
“I’m not going to retaliate any further.” He spoke, hiding back the small smile. He wasn’t a hero, and while he’ll more than happily step in to save a pokemon, he’s not going to go and challenge a man who he didn’t deem to be much of a threat – at least not anymore. So he gave a roll of his eyes, ignoring the still tense atmosphere and continued as if he had merely made a pause in a continued sentence. “And that’s just super corny! You’re making yourself out to look like one of those old fashioned movie villains now, I can’t stand that!” He forced out a childish moan and facepalmed, showing the persona that he had gained from hanging out with his brother.
After making that, he turned to Andrea. There was something in his eyes that were unreadable by outside sources, and it was considerable that the term of ‘information about team magma’ played over in his head. However, as quickly as it was there it was gone again as if there hadn’t been anything there to begin with. “Will you be fine?” He said, reaching out a hand to tap his Cyndaquil on the head as if to signify leaving. Everyone in magma had been ordered to retreat, and that included him, and if he was late for such an emergency then as kind as Cass can be, he was certain she’d have his head.
With that thought process in mind, Sam quickly pulled two pokeballs out from his belt and retrieved the circling Beedrill and Litwick. He then pulled out another pokeball, and tossed it back and forth casually between each hand as if symbolizing something. It held his Aerodactyl inside, and while Aerodactyl didn’t know fly right now it certainly was going to be useful for getting down and out of one of the broken windows. Not that anyone would know that, of course.
I'm pretty sure if I didn't have to wait for Yoyo's response it'd be close to 900 or 1000. Please send help. Pokemon Out: - Cyndaquil (05) / in Andrea's arms -

"Where did Broski run off to!?" He remembered watching it scamper up along a Gyarados' back—he would never forget that moment of sheer badassery—but then he'd managed to slip away and cater to some other business. What could be more important than battling? Dmitri scuttled off.
Sure enough after a few minutes of looking, he found a crowd of people gathered around Andrea. What happened here...? He eavesdropped on a few unpleasantries, while gawking at Broski. You devil, climbing onto Andrea's lap like that. Broski had a knack for getting close to the ladies.
'...blacklisted by the Ranger Association tomorrow onward.'
He poked the man on the shoulder, hoping to have him turn around. Nobody could have seen Dmitri walking up, or heard him in all the clamouring going on around them. Dmitri wanted to throw him a sucker punch, but instead he teased him.
"Oh, looks like we've got a badass over here.~" He couldn't help but throw his hands up in mock terror, before brushing past the man with a mild shoulder bump. What type of asshat gets caught up in anything other than the fight against Magma at a time like this? Somebody needed to get their priorities straight, and stop being a blemish on what little reputation Rangers seemed to withhold.
And also, who was he to pull such strings? He seemed like little more than a grunt or peon. He didn't have any special badges or crests decorating him as much other than a commoner. "Let me guess, somebody stole your sweet roll?~" Or maybe he had daddy issues. He shrugged as he walked past, and ignored any rebuttle the man might've offered in return. What's Broski up to?
That Lucario looks impressive, though. He sighed, reaching towards Andrea with a hand to the shoulder. "What happened? Are you and Broski okay?" Dmitri couldn't tell much, but it seemed these people were in some sort of conflict. At least, they had been, until too many people started showing up. If the Ranger truly thought what he was doing was just, he wouldn't let numbers stop him. So much for being a righteous ranger.
"I can smell it on your breath. You've been drinking, probably way too much as well. Andrea?" I remember my first drink... It was illegal for him, but who cared, right? Well Dmitri obviously didn't, back where he was from it kept you warm and pacified. He tried to pluck Broski back from Andrea, but he refused. What's gotten into you?
That's when he noticed the Snivy, recovering from an intense attack. What the... did Broski do this? It seemed like the Snivy had been frozen, but Broski wasn't one to attack without provocation. "Broski didn't do this, right?" Dmitri certainly hoped not.
"Have they broken through the front doors yet? We need to get out of here, fast."

Noticing that the remainder of the team magma had vacated the building, Sylvester swiftly brought his pokemon back inside their pokeballs. "Good job, guys. You made me proud tonight." Each of them turned to their trainer with a smile, calling out in a cheerful tone before being brought back to occupy the red and white orbs. Looking around, he noticed Dmitri making his way through the crowd. Heading towards him, he noticed that he had found Andrea.
"Not to hurry you two, but we should probably get going soon. This place is in shambles, and I don't think it would be wise to stick around and see if it collapses while we're inside." Of course, if they really wanted they could stay present for all of that. Sylvester on the other hand wasn't about to become a casualty to this night of madness. Not if he could help it, anyway.
"Your Snivy looks well, that's good." Sylvester began to wish he had fought with Syndra and the ranger, though allowing them to leave without succeeding in their attempts to harass Andrea and her pokemon for information was good enough. He had done his part for the night, both for Andrea and everyone as a whole by fighting the three pokemon team magma had used. "But what about you...?"

"ya don't realize how much this means ta me."
she gingerly returned the young cyndaquil to sam. and then, she returned broski, pressing an affectionate kiss to his snout and whispering her thanks as she did so. her snivy cracked his eyes open, tiredly peering at the humans whom had concern etched onto their features. he felt safe.
and so did she.
"thank ya," she repeated.
and she would likely continue offering her thanks in the near future, the girl's eyes filled with an abundance of affection as she gazed at each and every one of them.
"i'm fine. i'll be better when we get out of here. and broski was actually protectin' me. he did a real good job. i didn't know i had my very own guardian, yeah?"
despite the tired look on her face, andrea's fire returned. the police began to filter in - accompanied by a plethora of rangers. reminded of the male ranger's words, she retreated a step, visibly bristling as she stared at the numerous officials.
"i need ta go," she whispered.
her gaze traveled from sam, to sylvester, to dmitri.
"i'll... i'll talk to ya after tonight. i promise. sylvester, dmitri, ya got my number. call me... sam?"
andrea's gaze became vacant for a brief period of time before she regained her focus.
"we'll meet again. i-i'll see ya later. i gotta go. sorry."
she whispered the rushed apology and hurried away, melting into the surrounding confusion as she swiftly made her exit.

Sylvester could relate to the feeling Andrea had been getting at the sight of the authorities flooding into the building. As she meshed into the crowds and made her escape, Sylvester was glad to be able to do the same. "I guess I will see you two around." This was to both Andre and Dmitri, though only able to give Dmitri the wave farewell as he went to the stairwell where the rangers had made their way in.
'Well, tonight was certainly...interesting' While most everyone else was going to mark it as a bad time, Sylvester chalked it up to be much more than that. 'Now I know where team magma stands...I need to start training more.' Of course, Sylvester wasn't going to be doing much of the fighting on his own. In fact, he planned on getting in contact with Andrea soon. 'I need to keep a watch on her...'
By the looks of it, she was getting herself into more trouble than she alone could handle. 'I have to help.'
