hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Risu was tired after that gala there wasn't much going on but one thing he knew was that he had to teach Dimitri a lesson. Was it due to their obvious love affairs towards his brother? Not really Risu didn't notice any of that he only cared about how Broski felt. Being tossed like that, maybe he was used to it however that wasn't something Risu could just let fly by.
"Dimitri!!!" Risu yelled outloud waiting for a response from him outside of the gala, he was prepared to battle for the right of that swinub the little pig that could. His fists were tightened. He was unsure how many pokeon that Dimitri truly had but he was ready to defeat him, something about Dimitri didn't sit well with Risu. Maybe it was the brotherly burning desire to protect.

"Geez, Risu, you're so much more persistent than your brother." Dmitri was still oblivious to why Risu had called him out here in the first place; Broski scampered up alongside, just as curious about the situation. Perhaps he was a tad bit flustered from having gotten his wings earlier that very night.
"What do you want, Risu, and why do you look so bothered?" As far as Dmitri could recall, the only thing he'd done was steal a dance from Risu to take his chances with Usagi. It didn't seem right, to steal away someone's dancing partner, but they were brothers and Dmitri didn't think there was such a strong bond between them.
Not one that would be shaken by a simple dance, anyways. Maybe I was wrong about their relationship? Dmitri wondered if they were more intimate than he originally thought.
Still, there was something about Risu's stare that made him want to battle. Raw determination, something Dmitri empathized with. Perhaps it was just a bit of friendly competition, after all. He could live with that.
"You look like you need to get something off your chest." Go on, then. Explain yourself.
What type of person was Dimitri really? He thinks he did nothing wrong!? This was just foolish, he didn't find the need to explain what he did wrong yet. He could very well use the over protected brother excuse It made the most sense right? "Usa is my brother!" The blonde had cried out explaining anything else it was a decent cover up, he knew it wasn't his place to butt into how people trained their pokemon but this was a bit much.
He looked towards Dimitri and pointed a finger holding a pokeball in the same hand. "I challenge you to a 3 on 3 Pokemon battle." This battle was going to be serious his second battle he had to win. Not only for his brother but that little pig! Fukeyo!" He called out bringing out Drowzee one of hi weaker of his pokemon but from what he learned after battling Syndra, never let your ace be the first pokemon.

"Great! I've been wanting to teach Bowser a thing or two." Dmitri tossed his pokemon out, and it quickly assessed the situation. It snapped its pincers towards the Drowzee, in a display of strength.
What does you being his brother have anything to do with it? He needed context. Fast.
"Bite! Bite!" It was a very simple style of battling; Attack! Attack! But Skorupi thrived in the heat of the moment. Chasing down the enemy, he quickly clawed his way onto its leg and crawling to the small of its back. *Chomp* It tried to bring its jaws back onto Risu's pokemon once more. *Chomp*
"You're not going to switch out? You know Drowzee is weak to Bowser, right?" His condescending tone would serve only to fuel Risu's desire; it would make the fight that much more memmorable when he sequestered victory for himself.

Switch out pokemon!? Fukeyo would be more than ready! The Drowzee is indeed a lazy pokemon he would rather wait and see what the small scorpion pokemon would do. It's true size doesn't mean everything but it does make a huge difference. Couldn't Fukeyo just sit on the poor bug?
Risu looked towards his pokemon the attacks were coming two bites? He called both out. That was ridiculous for them to do that. "Fukeyo after each bite counter attack with pound!" He knew straight away that Fukeyo was too slow to dodge the fast bug. After each bite a pound attack went through to hit the bug. The last bite that had hit was counted by what seemed to be an uppercut from a pound. "Don't worry about us we'll win this three on three match."

"Crawl around on his body to dodge; don't make an easy target!" He hoped Skorupi would follow the advice. But unfortunately, there was no possible way for him to dodge every attack. After deftly eluding one swift strike, he was sent back from the follow up.
"Drats; use Poison Sting!" Bowser aimed high, approximating its tail to send two poison darts towards Fuyeko. Or whatever he named the blasted thing. Bowser seemed more than a little bit wounded, after all.
"Bite it again." Dmitri insisted on poisoning the target. If all else failed, one more Bite would finish the job. Pound wasn't such a powerful move, but Skorupi wasn't quite so strong yet.
"What does him being your brother have to do with this?" I really need to know. Just some context, please.
Bowser evaded Pound! Bowser was hit by Pound! Skorupi used Poison Sting! Skorupi used Bite!

Fukeyo was actually losing this battle!? Well it wasn’t something that completely shocked Risu, again this was his weakest pokemon so far. Though putting up a valiant effort. This time around strategy was on his side the fact being that he would be able to use his weaker pokemon he knew that Toki towards the end would be able to rock the world around Dimitri and his pokemon. Maybe this little Scorpion was his strongest pokemon although he could be wrong. Even if it wasn’t he felt confident about the fight. ”Fukeyo watch for his next attack get that pound off!”
The rather creepy partner of Risu nodded he hated to lose so far but was this work really worth it? Fukeyo huffed before being attacked by a poison move that stung truly in a terrible manner. He was poisoned!? This caused his health to drop rapidly. The scorpion like pokemon rushed towards Fukeyo expecting a free hit that wasn’t the case a pound slammed the little bug into the ground before Fukeyo was bitten around the ankle. The pokemon groaned in pain before falling to a knee and inevitably fainting. ”Not bad but the show just started!” He reached for two balls one was for Atsu to take center stage and the other Fukeyo’s ball. ”Come back buddy sorry about that but thanks for scouting out his strategy.” He grinned as Atsu came out of her ball rolling she was curled as a ball moving at a great speed this move made her feel at home.
The shrew pokemon was moving fast picking up dirt as it rolled around it used Rollout twice the more times this move connected the stronger it would be right? The shrew would in a way be training this little bug with this, Atsu was a rolling girl and she intended to at least weaken this bug down!

That was close, Fuyeko wasn't playing around. Bowser seemed prepared to fight longer, but Dmitri switched him out in favor of a different pokemon. Who will it be... Hoodini, maybe? He didn't think using Broski would be any better than Bowser, but Hoodini wasn't quite as effective either. He hesitated at bringing out another pokemon, and instead relied on Skorupi's movements.
"Jump into the air!" Bowser's excitement rose drastically as he flung himself skyward above the Sandshrew. He clamped his claws menacingly as he came falling back down, bracing for the attack and preparing to counter with one of its own.
Wait, no, this was a mistake. Dmitri raised his pokeball just as Sandshrew rounded about and came rolling for Bowser, and suddenly Broski replaced him. In his confusion, he was unable to anticipate the Rollout and was struck. Sandshrew backed up and came in for a second slam, and then another, and then another.
"You okay, Broski?" 'Swin!'Yeah, I could have been a little better with my decisions. Dmitri was still getting accustomed to all of the various typing match-ups to realize that Broski actually had something going for him in this particular fight.
"Use your Powder Snow!" Broski's mouth became an air conditioner on steroids, flinging hoarfrost everywhere as he coated the area around Sandshrew with rime. But he didn't relent there before dishing out a second layer at Atsu.
"Are you ever going to tell me what you two being brothers has anything to do with this?!" Is he just too focused on the battle? Maybe that was what Dmitri lacked; focus. Or at least enough of it to see what was really going on.
Bowser defeated Fuyeko! Bowser leveled up! +2 Lvls (Lvl 08) Bowser dodged Rollout! Dmitri returned Bowser and sent out Broski! Broski was hit by Rollout four (4) times! Broski used Powder Snow! x2
