[attr="class","ipoodle"]Mikhail idly stood around on Route 101, his hands jammed into the pockets of his leather pants. He was supposed to meet some other Ranger on the Route today, just some stupid random meet up or something. Get to know your allies and what not. Aside from his leather pants the man would also have on a leather jacket, which was unzipped about halfway, wearing nothing else underneath it. Accessory wise the man of course had on his typical pair of sunglasses with orangish-red lenses, and a pair of gloves on. the gloves on his right hand being red while the left glove being black.
While his...unique...choice of attire and white hair should of been enough to catch the attention of who this other ranger was he had something else going on to help them find him. Right behind Mikhail would stand his Kangaskhan, Big Mama, the Kangaskhan standing over a foot taller then Mikhail. Who himself was somewhere around six feet tall, Big Mama was named BIG Mama for a reason after all.
With a groan Mikhail would shift around, growing a bit tired of standing around waiting. Despite not wearing a watch Mikhail would move his hand up as if he had a watch on to check the time. Only to put his hand right back into his pocket afterwards. Trying to at least get a bit more comfortable Mikhail would shift again, moving his head around a couple times until his neck cracked. Only to then stand around silently waiting on the other Ranger.

[attr="class","abar"] Freyja wasn't usually late. Okay, that was lie. She was usually late. But usually not when it was morning- despite being a slouch the ranger academy had hardened early mornings into her soul, forcing her to feel slightly energized at the peeking of the sun. So running late was pretty strange, and even though her first run in was with the totally casual and fun Cedric, she knew she might not get lucky a second time. So there she was, in formal ranger clothing head to toe, the only thing distinguishing her being her usual red scarf and the fact that her uniform was unironed and completely wrinkled out.
Tango was sleeping still, inside the comfortable and spacious layers of her scarf. Even when Freyja bounded out in a run, he did not wake up. The raven haired ranger could not be bothered to check on her companion- they both relied on the other to be a-ok twenty four seven for the sake of the other. Tango would not disappoint her.
She reeled up in front of the first man she met on the route, her posture stiffening in a salute.
Wait, what?
She tilted her head back, eyebrows arching up and the stiff posture relaxing immediately. "The shit? You a ranger or a biker?" she asked, the malicious words not having much of a malicious tone behind them, but rather shrouded in a kind of casual informality, the exact opposite of her previous salute. She was breathing heavily, but the panting did nothing to stop her crooked glare at the man, wondering if this was even the ranger she was supposed to meet.

[attr="class","ipoodle"]Behind the orange tinted frames of his sunglasses Mikhail's left eye would twitch as the girl showed up. He didn't care what uniform a ranger wore as long as they carried their identification on them and it at least looked neat. Neat meaning ironed in this case, he couldn't believe she didn't iron her uniform first. His eye twitched again as she then went on to question HIS clothes.
Only to have to drop whatever he was feeling about the clothing issue almost immediately.
Big Mama didn't take to kindly to this stranger cursing around her baby...well babies..and would let out a roar, looking over Mikhail at Freyja. With a blink Mikhail would turn around, putting his back to Freyja now as he took care of the Kangaskhan. "Eaaasy Big Mama, she's a friend...well maybe...she's on our side at least alright." He just kinda blurted out while reaching up with both hands to pat the large pokemon's belly. Because of Mikhail's jacket being somewhat small it would move up as his hands did, accidentally giving Freyja a nice look at his mid drift.
After the pat Mikhail would put his arms back down, his jacket going down along with them. "You probably shouldn't swear so loudly around Big Mama..she gets kinda mad when people cuss around Little Dude." Mikhail said as he turned around to face the women again, leaning over slightly so she could see the baby Kangaskhan in Big Mama's pouch, the baby Khan staring at Freyja with wide eyes. Only to stop leaning over a few seconds later.
"And a Ranger obviously..you wouldn't of even expected I was one if I wasn't waiting here for you huh? Element of surprise. Besides Its not the uniform that makes the man its the man that makes the uniform or something."
The man said before mouthing out the word fuck to her, following up with "if I know what that means." Even Mikhail was trying to keep the cussing down around his own pokemon. "Eh..whatever, I'm Mikhail Melbourne." The man added, holding his hand out to the Ranger girl.

[attr="class","abar"] She was a ranger, and possibly a very stupid one at that, unable to feel the slightest fear, even in the face of a rage-filled Kanghaskan. Instead, she scowled at the pokemon and then at the trainer. THe man was obviously older than her, and yet she immediately felt eons older than him. He turned around to calm the pokemon down while Freyja took the time to calm her breath. Her Cyndaquil rustled the folds of her scarf and clicked his eyes awake, staring at Freyja from the motherly protection that her red scarf provided.
She looked at him waving his hands in the air, and then made a gagging noise when faced with the sight of what the slightly pulled up jacket had to offer. "You named them, lemme guess," she commented. "If you can't keep your pokemon in line, don't keep 'em," she said, sharply, the words obviously meaning no kindness to the ranger. Being confronted with the baby's wide eyes just made her feel awkward- she didn't like kids to much, and hardly ever knew what to do with them. So she just averted her eyes and looked back at the male, unimpressed.
Her expression went from blank to positively weirded out, and then she just started laughing. He was censoring his words around his pokemon! Hah! Tango was probably as vulgar as she was right about now. And did that make any sense? How was a baby pokemon gonna be affected by human swearing? They wouldn't even speak the same language. Although, not like she knows the indepth workings of pokespeak, so she'll leave that at rest.
She stops laugh to catch her breath, and then looks at the ranger, half sympathetic and half just plain condescending. "What are you, fucking twelve?" she asks, the words slipping out of her mouth before she can prevent them. Oh well- she doesn't even notice she's cussing. It's too natural for her at this point.
She takes his hands, giving it a firm, quick shake. "Whatever, I'm Freyja."

[attr="class","ipoodle"]Two could play the rude game. Once she shook his hand Mikhail would practically yank his hand away from the girls grasp. Narrowing his eyes behind his sunglasses at her, she was a pretty damn rude one, he was tempted to put her in her place.
To let Kangaskhan knock out whatever pokemon it was that she had gotten as a starter, no way it could compare to Big Mama.
"Listen here, clearly I have the damn thing under control if it hasn't attacked you, big fucking deal if it roared." Now he was mad, he was just trying to be friendly but the little bitch didn't have to be so rude about everything. "Do you really have to be so damn rude about everything?"
Post by Freyja Sigfried on Jul 20, 2015 9:23:55 GMT
[attr="class","abar"] Freyja blinked at the sudden onslaught of words from the man. Did he get offended that easily? Or was she really being that rude, she couldn't tell. Maybe staying within the same friend circle for god knows how long during her times at the academy made her believe everyone would be able to put up with her personality. As soon as he started shouting at her though, she felt bad. But then again, she started feeling defensive, too.
"Arceus, that escalated. Can't you take some banter?" She asked, eyebrows furrowing as she crossed her arms over her chest, right wrist aching from the sharp yank the man had performed. She snorted, but smiled a little at his shouting. "So at least you don't get angry like a girl."
Tch, he was calling her rude, now? She hadn't even said anything! Shit, she'd introduced herself like a civilized girl and acted all high and ranger-ish in front of him with that salute. If his little Kangaskhan couldn't take her words, as hard as they were to form, he didn't have much right to tell her not to cuss. She'd say whatever she damn well pleased...
...were all the things she wanted to say. And they sounded perfectly fine her her mind, but they never really worked out when she got to forming them, though the anger was written well in brilliant streaks of red across her mind. "Fuck your shit, then," was what she said, frustrated by both the ranger and the fact that she couldn't, once again, say anything right.
Tango, meanwhile, had finally crawled and wrestled with the scarf long enough to get to a good position, and was peering at Mikhail with a simple curiosity. He had no idea of what had happened before, and did not seem to understand the situation, instead peeking about with glee. The cyndaquil jumped off Freyja's shoulder, about the same time that Freyja spun around in an angry fit, in such a perfectly horridly time manner that he leaped off Freyja without her knowing it, and he did not know she was leaving.
The cyndaquil's daring jump landed him right at the feet of the Kanghaskan that started it all, and the daze of sleep slowly lifted as he looked up and down the strange big beast, wondering primarily if he could fight it, and secondarily if he could eat it.

[attr="class","ipoodle"]"Theres a difference between banter and being rude. If thats what you call banter you should save it for friends and not someone you barely know, theres a time and place for that shit." Mikhail blurted out after her comment about it being banter, slipping his hands into his pockets as he said it.
While he wanted to keep blowing up at the girl, hell maybe even fight her..with pokemon not with his fists, he felt like he had to be civil for some reason. She was supposed to be his comrade or something, and it seemed like that mouth of hers would get her in trouble down the road eventually, he couldn't just let that happen.
Well he planned to try to help her at least, 'Fuck your shit, then' and turned to storm off. It was kinda amusing to him, it was the type of retort a five year old would come up with, even though he wouldn't tell her that. "Eh whatever then, lets go Big Mama." Mikhail said as he turned to walk the other way, back to Littleroot town.
Only to notice the Cyndaquil that was just chilling around Big Mama's feet. The Cyndaquil having already been noticed by the large Kangaskhan, which caused her to back up a bit to get a better look of it. She thought it was a baby of some kind and had no desire to punch it at all. Hell if Mikhail said she could keep it the Kangaskhan would be more then happy to throw the little fire type in her pouch with the baby khan until it got older.
"Hey Freyja!" Mikhail yelled out, why did he remember her name already. "Think you left something back here?" The man yelled out after her again while stepping to the side a bit to give her plenty of room to see the Cyndaquil. Only to then point down to it just in case it was harder to see then he thought. He figured that it must be her starter or something, Cyndaquil's dont really pop up in the wilderness too often, and Freyja was the only other person around, it made sense to him at least.

[attr="class","abar"] She tugged at his scarf, frustrated and seeking some form of comfort from her favorite accessory. She didn't like Mikhail; but then again, she didn't like most people. Whatever. She was being silly for expecting friends to crop up within the ranger association so easily. Maybe she should try being nicer some time. No, that was pointless, too. She had wanted people she liked being with within the group she was so lamely stuck with being a part of, but not everyone was going to be chill like Cedric.
She needed a break. Huffing, she trudged across the route. When Mikhail called her back, she stopped immediately, turning with a mix of curiosity and anger on her face. Something of hers? She checked her scarf- her hands were already wrapped tight around it. What else did she own?
Then her confused and searching eyes rested upon Tango, and Freyja bounded back to Mikhaili with all the protectiveness of a mother lion, glaring at Mikhail for a full miute before scooping up her Tango. She planted a small kiss on the cyndaquil's forehead, laughing when it attempted to lick her back. Tango waved goodbye to the Kanghaskhan, and Freyja smiled crookedly at the ranger.
"See you around."
At least it was a better goodbye than her previous comment. The red scarfed ranger began walking away, allowing her Cyndaquil to go back to her shoulders, snuggling in the scarf where it was most comfortable.

[attr="class","ipoodle"]Mikhail couldn't help but smirk as the girl came back for her Cyndaquil, it looked like she did care about something after all. Not that it meant much, just that she wasn't at least a complete bitch. As well he couldn't help but chuckle once the girl started laughing from the Cyndaquil trying to lick her. Laughter was kind of contagious after all.
"See ya." The man responded with, still smirking a bit. Looks like she was warming up to him after all, or the Cyndaquil just made her that happy. Either one was pretty good in his book, if she was warming up to him then good, maybe he found a friend. If it was just the Cyndaquil thing then he could guess she wasn't just completely heartless, still a chance at being her friend there.
Not that he'd let her in on the fact that he wanted to be her friend, seemed too cliche and sappy for him. He'd blink a bit as she started walking away, realizing that he also should probably head to the next city instead of just standing around for longer. "Freyja" He called out after her, just to get her attention. "I mean I gotta head to Oldale town too, mind if I just tag along?"
Post by Freyja Sigfried on Aug 3, 2015 14:56:28 GMT
[attr="class","abar"] In truth it had nothing to do with her heart warming up to the stranger- she simply did love her cyndaquil that much. But yeah, maybe she had gotten off on the wrong foot, and her ditzy, albeit feisty Cyndaquil helped remedy her mood.
She nodded absently at the remark from Mikhail; it meant little more than a friendly way to say goodbye to someone. Freyja's hands tugged her scarf out of habit and she gave a grunt of affirmation. They would indeed see each other again, that mush was undoubted. She idly wondered when that would be, and then decided that it would depend on how many rangers there were.
She was about as far away form him as she had been when she left in the first place, but then she was called yet again by the same voice. She turned around, an idle quirk of her eyebrows at her name being used so quickly in rapid succession. She was never good with people, and it felt strange. Mikhail asked to walk along with her, ad her first instinct was to refuse, but she ended up shrugging.
"Suit yourself," she said, choosing an explicitly neutral response as her hands found the way to her pockets and her chin buried itself in her scarf yet again.
Post by Mikhail Melbourne on Aug 11, 2015 13:22:43 GMT
[attr="class","ipoodle"]Once Freyja responded Mikhail would just shrug his shoulders before starting to head to Oldale with her. "Come on Big Mama." He called out to his Kangaskhan, glancing back to look at it. He didn't want to leave her behind after all, she was too busy playing with the baby in her pouch to have noticed Mikhail leaving. So he had to call after her obviously. After he called out she'd of course stop playing with the baby for now to start walking behind Mikhail.
For the majority of the walk Mikhail would stay quiet, only wanting to tag along because of how awkward it would of been for them both to just walk in the same direction after saying good bye. He couldn't really think of anything to say to her, it seemed like everything he said so far except for the Cyndaquil thing just pissed her off. He didn't really have to be nice to her, but hey he needed at least one friend right?
Finally thinking of something to say Mikhail would blurt out "So, what made you want to be a ranger?" As they walked along, his hands jammed firmly into the pockets on his jeans."
[attr="class","abar"] Freyja rejoiced in the silence that had befallen them. After the immature display from the man that looked at least five years her senior (psht, when had she ever cared?), the raven haired girl was glad she didn't have to talk too much. But again, and as always, she felt a nagging ache at the lack of conversation, of her inability to get much right. It wasn't much of a secret that she Freyja had little to no close people, and she hated not the fact, but rather the tiny little details that led up to the fact. Like awkward silences.
Her conflicting emotions rallied against each other without much thought, and when the male did speak her feelings only got twisted more. It was a chill question, except for the fact that she didn't know how to go about answering it. The truth would be that she had secretly had worshiped the idea of doing something she was found to be good at and scouted for from her school years, dying to show some talent other than her petty interest for dance. But that wasn't something she could explain.
Freyja felt herself tense up for a while- she had never been able to hide her feelings, although they did come out jumbled. She then grunted and continued walking. "I dunno. I like it, I guess. Somethin' to do. Besides eat and sleep."
God she sounded boring. Her hands crossed in front of her, laced uncomfortably through the red fabric. She then jutted her chin out at Mikhail, in a way that resembled how a caveman would ask 'what about you?'

[attr="class","ipoodle"]Mikhail would nod his head at her response as they walked. Thinking that it was a pretty...decent reason to want to become a Ranger. Nothing too special or noble but eh nothing bad either. "Hmm"
After she made a gesture Mikhail would reach back, rubbing at the back of his neck. He figured out what she meant by it, it wasn't that hard. Truthfully he wasn't too sure what to answer with, the truth was pretty...well pretty cliche in his mind. Deciding to just get it over with Mikhail cleared his throat, before letting her know why he was a ranger.
"Well, my parents were both rangers. They pretty much raised me to be a ranger, taught me all I needed to know when I was little. Even took me on a couple missions from time to time. Found Big Mama here on one of the last missions they took me on too, she was stuck in some crevice. Got her out and then she just..kinda followed me home." Mikhail said with a nod, still looking straight ahead as he told the little story.

[attr="class","abar"] His nodding somewhat encouraged her, amazed with herself at making progress. She smiled awkwardly, not sure why she was feelinga burst of happiness and managing to get things across- it had seemed such a difficult challenge before. She tried her best to listen to his story, nodding in the same sympathetic yet simple response that the had given her.
She giggled again at hearing the kanghaskan's name- it was one of those things tha tyou'd laugh no matter how many times you'd hear it. "Your naming sense," she mumbled, shaking her head idly. But then she could only hope he didn't venture to ask the name of her own pokemon, at which the response would be no short of awkward.
As if taking the cue to ruin her blissful laugh at someone else, Tango appeared from the inside workings of her scarfs, almost begging to be asked about. Freyja looked deathly pale, hoping she didn't have to answer to the question she herself had raised.
"But uh. Its a nice..story." She glanced over at the pokemon in question, eyes quiet and approving.
