With her newly acquired Pokemon nested on her shoulder, Michi made her way down the busy route. To each person that passed her, she gave a blatantly judgemental glance. To those who she felt needed it the most, she made a snark comment, either about their Pokemon or they way they looked. Most people just aren't as tastefully dressed around here...
What were the odds that her Pokemon would be the complete opposite of her. The little bird was cheerfully singing as the two ventured further. With each trainer that passed, the Pokemon would wink, smile and whistle a howdy do in it's little birdie voice. This didn't so much bother Michi, she was only worried that her Pokemon would encourage the poor, poor lot who clearly needed advice on how to be more graceful and beautiful...
Elle wasn't nearly as confident in herself, at least not enough to be commenting on other people. Despite her ignorant nature, she could never look down on anyone- in fact she held every breathing human on a pedestal above herself, so she could stare at them and ask them questions more easily. After all she was but a boring person, looking to live vicariously through a different, more interesting life than her own. The shuppet on his head was having an uncomfortable time now that her mistress had donned a large hat, and was falling from one side to the other, unsure of where to topple.
Elle walked with one hand outstretched, touching daintily the flowers that passed, eager to learn one day about all of them, and maybe explore their habitat. She had the wonder of a child all over her face, and brilliant interest as she went from one person to the next, light cotton dress tailing her as she passed. She found herself quite lost, but kept telling herself that she was simply wandering.
But as she passed by a woman, she couldn't really help but to use that as an excuse to start up a conversation, and she began tiptoeing towards the other girl, a carefree smile on her face as she waddled, feet uncertain and most definitely not elegant; like she would fall at any moment in the heels that she wore.
"Hello~" she said, singing the last bit of her 'oo' and looking at the girl's attire with a strange keen glint in her eyes. "Do you know, perhaps, the way to Odale?"

Such an upbeat salutations? Was this person trying to be cute? Wrong! All wrong! Michi turned to look at the other person who managed to annoy her with one little intonation. She brought one hand to her chin as she looked the person up and down with a sharp glare. She then responded with a dry "hello".
Lost? How could she be lost already? This is like the first route... She impatiently raised her hand in the direction of Oldale. "You know, it doesn't hurt to be more prepared if you're going to be venturing to places unknown". She dropped her attention to the young woman's shoes. "And those shoes definitely don't go with that outfit..."
Little Fletchling hummed gleefully at the site of the stranger. She winked in response to her happy "hello", but soon found herself being quieted by her trainer's response. The tiny bird sulked as she wondered whether her approach to life was the correct one. But, she quickly decided "what the heck", perked up, and continued to cheerfully sing.
Elle was mostly used to being treated rudely- but she definitely liked that fact about people the most. How they could be so easily happy and then so easily cold, it made them all the more interesting. She stared at the girl, eyes unblinking, unaffected by her rudeness. She was used to the sly, calm way of telling her she was being annoying, she was much more surprised by direct methods which seemed rare.
"Thanks, so you do know where Odale is," she said, not stopping her smile for the world. She nodded at the girl, finding that the best way to stop negativity was with positivity. Her shuppet, on the other hand, didn't really like feeling insulted, so she began floating away from the hat and towards the girl, a menacing glare on her face. Elle laughed easily.
"Don't worry, girl. It's not like I'm shallow enough to care about my shoes." She looked at the other girl, ever smiling, her bright expression hiding the annoyance that the words portrayed. The shuppet retreated, disappearing quickly into the air and reappearing in the thick brown mist that was Elle's hair.
"Your pokemon is really beautiful, I've never seen anything like it before. Do you mind if I take a picture?" she asked, her hand already reaching into her bag to whip out her phone. But secretly she found herself wishing she hadn't met this woman, feeling like her insults would only get worse. Elle was brave, but she wasn't completely immune to hateful comments, and the one she had given had already made her wince internally.

Michi looked the trainer up and down once more. Thank, I try to keep her feathers clean. The little bird spread her wings wide, as her trainer spoke, just to demonstrate how beautiful they were. The Pokemon seemed to love the adoration of others. Perhaps this was why she yearned to perform in contests.
I see you have a Shuppet. That was an unexpected surprise. You didn't seem like the type to have a ghost under your hat. Michi's gaze jumped from the stranger's face to her clothes. What did you say your name was again?
She had the camera and was already taking shots of the stranger and her pokemon, even as she spoke, giddly taking in the pretty show of feathers that the bird was displaying. "Mmhmm," she said, nodding in appreciation. She quickly moved the photo to her folder of strange people and their pokemon, right besides PYO MIN JAE and his ralts.
She turned to listen attentively, and smirked at what the stranger said. As if catching on, the shupppet as well peeked at Michi from behind her shoulder, eyeing the woman and her pokemon both. "Of course. Ghosts always have the most interesting things to say, although it's hard to understand." It was her go-to response, and one that was true. Out of all pokemon out there, ghost types interested her the most thanks to their strange, outlandish appeal. They were different, and they all had a tale behind them, one that could be immortal if only humans could understand them.
"Just think! If only we could really understand pokemon." She sighed dreamishly, and then looked up to the stranger, wonder in her eyes. "My name? Ah, not too important. You can call me Elle. And you are?" Her eyes were hopeful, curious and a little annoying all at once. Her shuppet's was the same, except without all the kindness that Elle herself inspired.

You know what Elle...It was Elle, right? She looked the young woman up and down... You're the right kinda weird. I can dig it. Usually I hate cute things. But, you're more different that cute, if you know what I mean? So, I can definitely tolerate you. As she spoke, she rested her right elbow in the palm of her other hand and then rest her cheek in the palm of her right hand. Why are you headed to Oldale? And, you have to answer cause I let you take picture of me and my Pokemon. She pouted her lips as she awaited an answer.
Elle nodded absently mindedly at her name being affirmed- she liked her nickname. It was shot and sweet and even the most forgetful of people usually remembered it. So much better than the haughty, noble Elea Laceheart. But the words the girl said after affirming the name made her look up from her phone, in a kind of dazed stare.
She giggled. "People don't usually find me weird, since I'm the one that finds people weird," she blurted, happy to be able to have made someone think she was weird. Which was, in turn, weird in itself. Elle then studied the girl with a careful eyes, watching how she observed her. It was strange. Usually Elle was the one looking at people like that, deciding how weird they were and then recording them accordingly.
"Eh? Not fair, I asked for your name first,"[/b] Elle said, pouting along with Michi in a girlish fest. But she shrugged and answered the question anyway. "I'm not just heading to Odale, you know. I'm heading to Ever Grande. So I can meet the people that've come all the way from here, and find out just how weird they are."
She paused, put the phone down and secured it into her bag before looking back up at Michi. "Mind telling me about you, now? Help a cute girl out?" she asked, beaming at the other woman.

It's Michi, she answered, Michi Hend...erson. Michi Henderson. Yeah, I grew up not too far from here and I'm just a regular ol' Pokemon trainer...going about my travels.
Why did she lie about who she was? Michi trusted no one -- especially not the cute ones who were weird. She could "dig it", but not trust it. He eyes searched Elle's face for any shroud of doubt in her story. But, soon she turned her attention to a passing stranger, rolling her eyes and making a disgusted face as the person went on their way. Look at that dude. What was he thinking wearing that? She looked at Elle with a raised eyebrow. Don't you think that colour is just horrid? She chuckled as she raised her hand to cover her mouth. Absolutely horrid. Everyone knows that shade of orange is a no-no this season...
"Michi," she mumbled quietly, trying hard to remember it. "Henderson," she added, a thoughtful look given to the stranger. It didn't seem to suit, but Elea loved contradictions the most. "Well, a pleasure to finally know you." Elea then put up a finger to her lips. "Although, not like I know you all to well..."
She gave Michi an almost angry glare at her next few words and was quick to interrupt her. "No one's just a regular ol' pokemon trainer," she almost snapped. Her eyes were stern for a few moments, and even Bloody Mary seemed to hesitate to touch her, instead floating just above her hat instead of resting on top of it. It made her look a little taller too, and possibly added to the dramatic effect. Knowing the old ghost, it was probably why she did so in the first place.
"Except maybe me, hahaha!" Elea said, completely comfortable with laughing at herself. Her laughter was interrupted by Michi's comment on the passerby, which she noted with avid interest. Elea honestly had no idea what the girl was talking about. She liked that color.
"Orange is one of my favorites," she mumbled, as though she was being reproached by an older woman even though technically she had a year on Michi. Not like she or Michi would ever come to guess that. "But I guess I don't know much about fashion. You should teach me sometime," she added quickly, almost too eager at the prospect of learning something new. Especially Michi, who presented herself in such a way that Elle easily believed she knew everything there was.
She then began skipping towards Odale, expecting Michi to follow.

Michi's lips slowly curled into a gentle smile as she listened to Elle's proposition. Teach her about fashion? I would love to, if only I knew about fashion myself. Perhaps mimicking the stylish girls from boarding school was a bad idea...
She pouted her lips as she pondered what her next step in this little experiment would be. Hmm, she seems like an odd one. But, I really like her honesty. Maybe...
Michi's eyes began to wonder about as she tried to find the words to say next. How could she possibly explain to the stranger that her behaviour up until now was a ruse to fish out whether she was trustworthy or not? Surely, Elle would get upset and think her a weirdo. She clasped her hands together as she readied herself to speak. Even if she didn't know exactly how to say it, it was the ladylike thing to do. Liars can't be ladies, after all.
Her words were subtle and gentle. But, "I have to..." was the only thing she managed to utter before Elle skipped off in the direction of Oldale. Wait... Michi called out. I have something I must tell you... Michi's manner of speaking was completely different from how it was before. No attitude nor sarcasm, her voice was soft and gentle. She raised her hand as she began chasing after Elle...
