I WILL GRAB MY FREEDOM WITH MY OWN HANDS.
He was under a mixture of stress, anxiety, frustration and over all confusion. How could things fall apart so fast? Something happened with team magma at the gala, there had to be some kind of emergency. Unfortunately, what had been said by the ranger that was harassing his friend did not go unnoticed. It felt so wrong, and the panic of everything that was happening – a gyarados in the dance? Chaos? Destruction? – didn’t help him feel any better. He was thankful that the Aerodactyl he was riding on was capable of self-direction. His mind was in shambles, and that would cause an accident for him and his ride if he was the one steering.
As so as a result, when the recently revived Aerodactyl took a stop to recover from the flight, Sam literally stumbled his way off it and found himself landing on the ground. He mumbled and muttered, getting up off the ground so that he could search the pockets of his magma uniform for the teleporter. On the way down from the gala he had took his tuxedo and shoes off and replaced them with his uniform’s hoodie and boots. He couldn’t do much otherwise with clothing while riding on a pokemon so he’d have to finish changing back at his room.
A squeak came from atop the Aerodactyl’s head, and Sam stopped fumbling to pick his Cyndaquil up off the dinosaur so that it could be on solid ground. There was a cheer from the fire mouse and it began rolling back and forth happily. If the situation wasn’t so… confusing, he would have laughed. But now he could only sigh. “If this is what you’re like after being air-born, I’d hate to see your reaction to being teleported.” At the comment, the cyndaquil stopped rolling to look up at his trainer. He tilted his head and gave a little squeak, symbolizing a lack of understanding.
“Nevermind.”
This seemed to be read as permission from Singe, as he immediately went back to rolling in the grass and concrete of Slateport. It held surprisingly little concern for being so close to the ocean.
Sam would shortly after continue shuffling through his pockets, a victory smile placing its way across his face when his hands clutched a mechanical device. Perfect. He thought, but when pulled out and looked up, his eyes caught something that only made the panic raise once again from his subconscious. “Oh no oh no.” He muttered, backing up next to his Aerodactyl and pulling his hood closer. That can’t be him, shiit. His thoughts went back to racing, forgetting briefly about the whole incident that happened with Andrea and the others back in the gala moments before. He was aware that most trainers very much held high dislike for aqua and magma, something he was understandable of.
A dark thought suddenly pierced his musings, saying how he should find better friends if that was how they thought.
And that was pushed down with another thought of shut up.
“Come on Shiggidy, back in the ball we have to go now.” The urgency in his voice was surprisingly very evident, considering his amount of self control. He was rushing over to the dinosaur pokemon, and it and his Cyndaquil gave him a confused look.
This was going to end badly he could feel it.
TAGGGED | NOTES Perfect place to land, amirite? Also I figured since he's a little too much of a good guy to be in magma, so inner moral conflict fixes that. Pokemon Out: - Cyndaquil (05) - Aerodactyl (05) - |
