Jelly arms, jelly arms. The muscles in her arms seemed to pulse as she set her egg down on the counter of the Oldale Town Pokemon Center. Had she been traveling to the town without the egg, she could have been there so much quicker. Half the time! Instead the egg weighed down each step she took. What kind of Pokemon could be in this egg that made it so heavy? Only time would tell. It better be worth lugging it around with her everywhere she sent. Amelia handed the nurse at the counter her pokeballs before sighing and lifting the egg once more. It looked so fragile, so delicate, so light.
Nope. Still heavy. Her feet dragged against the ground as she made her way over to a bench in the center. What she needed right now was a long break. As she sat down on the bench, Amelia placed the egg down next to her. Exhaustion filled every last pore in her body. All she wanted to do now was lay down and sleep. Sleep was not a luxury that could currently be granted to her.
Jack Harper. Where's Jack Harper? The boy was no where to be found. She wished it would be as easy as pointing to a man in a striped red and white shirt in a picture book. Life was a bit more complex than that. Hopes and prayers weren't enough to make him appear en route to Oldale Town. Now that she was here, what was she supposed to do? There were no signs of where he went, which direction he took. Hell, maybe he didn't even come to Oldale Town. The Hoenn Region was still a foreign concept to the girl, she only knew the most common paths. Knowing Jack, he knew how to go every which way to every which place.
Was she expected to search under every last roof in the town? And after she did that, what then? There was no way to contact him. There was no way to find him. Amelia groaned, tossing her head back against the wall behind her and shutting her eyes. As uncomfortable as this position was, she could feel herself drifting off. Why did Jack have to be such a difficult boy?
