welcome to calamity! we are an au pokemon site based in hoenn. we do not have canons so you can pick them as your fcs! we have a short one hundred word word count. and you get to also pick your own starter! calamity is going to focus on providing users with a good and stable plot line to follow. this helps each character progress and some might even have a play in affecting the plot! we hope you enjoy your time here and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Girl and pokemon were about to step foot into the tall grass for the first time as a team, and they were going to work together to defeat any sort of mishap, or strong pokemon they came across. Maybe they would even have a pokemon battle with a roaming trainer. That could work, right? Looking around, Penelope looked down at Eclairage, who somewhat still unsteady on her feet, waddled around, hands out, and reaching for whatever she could grab.
"Okay, lets be careful, I don't want either of us getting lost okay! You stay by me, and Ill stay with you.
Brown eyes blinked up at her and nodded one "Piiiiiiiiichu!
All they had to do was find another opponent. Searching though the tall grass would be the easiest. Of course, it gave the other pokemon the most amount of coverage.
Turning around, she saw her baby, hands full of grass and looking up to her with excitement in her eyes.
"I promise, we'll find some friends for you around here"
One toss in the air made it rain blades of grass, and a cheerful call from Eclairage was only the icing on the cake. "Exactly"
friends? no. more like enemies. they were disturbing her sleep as they moved around in the grass. this grumpy venonat sprung up and charged at the pichu from out of nowhere.

Their adventure was a slow and painful walk through tall grass and nothing more. The further that the two of them went the less that they were finding. But that was okay! The two of them enjoyed looking back at one another, Eclairage holding up blades of grass for Penelope to tie into knots. "Keep some for the other pokemon! You don't want to take all of their grass."
The Pichu looked down at her hand full of uprooted grass and laid it gently back down on the ground, waddling over to the next patch and peeking her head through.
Penelope wouldn't have even seen the venonat if she didn't hear the sharp cry and the tumble back of her Pichu.
"Baby!" Turning to look, The baby pokemon got back to its feet, trying to CHARM its way into the other pokemons heart. She knew it pulled on her own heartstrings, but it might not work that well on another pokemon.
"Okay Eclairage, use Thundershock!" Turning around questioning, Penelope met the little girls eyes and nodded, telling her that she could do this. With the vote of confidence that the little girl needed, she turned back around and sent small shots of electricity at her foe; or friend.

The pokemon seemed dazed at her barrage of attacks and stumbled a bit at the attack that she had forced from her little girl. "Good job Eclairage! Keep up the good work!" Without anything too difficult coming across her path, it was likely that she would have another pokemon in her grasps, and one that could be powerful on her team.
At least, that is what she hoped.
Turning around, she nearly missed the next attack, one that made her Pichu shudder on its feet, twitching itself as if it had been electrocuted. Was it playing some mind games? Maybe it was a psychic pokemon.
"Pichu! Look out, Dodge that tackle!" Eclairage's tiny frame turned about, looking to see where the Venonat was coming from and Jumped in the air, barely missing the wild attack.
Good, this time she wasn't hurt. "Okay girl! Use Thundershock again!" Eclairage looked at the pokemon and balled her little fists up, attempting to send a shockwave forward.
It didn't work.
Confused, the pokemon looked up, "Its okay, come on girl" Penelope watched the pokemon try and struggle to use the move but she waved her hand, reaching into her side bag and grabbing a pokeball.
"Watch out Pichu!" She tossed the ball over the pokemons head, and let it gently tap the other. Soon she would see, maybe she would have another member on her team.

With the quick flip of her wrist, the pokemon was gone, twitching in the ball in an attempt to escape. Once. Twice. Thrice. CLICK.
I DID IT
Her gasp turned into a happy giggle as she ran forward and picked the ball up with. Warm, smooth, she could almost feel the pokemon in her hand. The strength that this pokemon had was something to watch. Clicking it onto her hip she bent down on her knees, brushing the grass off of Eclairage.
She squeaked a bit, but glowed with pride. "Good job girl, I'm proud. Do you think you can go for another round?" The pichu nodded, turning around and shuffling forward again. She wondered what pokemon would jump from the grass next.

It felt great to be a pokemon trainer. Watching her pichu learn what was and wasn't good, watching her traverse the land, through the grass and over debilitating moves hurt her, but she knew that the more she did it the better the two of them would become. The better that the group would be as a whole. They would be a great team with the strength and love that would outmatch any other. With that one more pokemon under her belt made the girl soar.
Speaking of soar, no hesitation came from the sky as the pokemon from above dive-bomed down, tucking its wings in and landing a nasty peck right on Eclariage's head.
Pichu stumbled, loosing its balance, falling in the dirt with a gentle squeak. "Get up girl, and send a double dose of Thundershock above!" Twisting in the dirt, the pokemon reached forward as her cheeks changed color and sent thick bolts soaring into the sky at the flying pokemon. That was super effective damage, right? It would be if it hit.
zap! two bolts of lighing came flying. spearow maneuvered away from one but the other hit. it was very powerful. but it wasn't enough to take him out just yet.

Penelope her own surge of electricity go through her veins when she saw her pokemon do that well in battle. Albeit only one of her Pichu's attacks hit, she watched the Spearow tremble at the power that the two had. A team they were, and she believed in the tiny foot tall fluffball no matter what. "That last attack was super effective!" She called it out to Eclairage, to make sure she knew, distracting her from getting another nasty peck on the top of her head.
"Sorry!" Sheepishly she tried to push the blonde strands out of her hair before throwing her hand forward again. "It only will need one more attack, you can do it girl, Thundershock!" As quick as the little yellow mouse could she twisted on her feet and sent another dose of electricity at its foe.
A Spearow! What a cool Pokemon, maybe she would have the chance to catch it.
