[attr=class, lutxt] It was the start of a new journey and all in all Syndra was rather ecstatic with the newfound freedom and sense of adventure just walking away from Littleroot Town provided. It was reminiscent of when she walked on that old dusty trail away from home, except less sad and more fun. Plus she had a new buddy to go with her. Sure she had no idea what to do with the green turtle creature for now but just letting it walk alongside her as she ventured onto her first real route was something right? Right!
The Turtwig was at the same time calmly keeping pace as the green haired trainer looked around at the peaceful road. There was no real danger since it was the first route, or at least that's what Syndra figured, so she was being more laidback and taking in the sights. Her partner had caught onto that energy and followed suit. It was actually rather impressive how much the turtle like pokemon was able to keep up with Syndra with the girl especially weaving between tall grass and the occasional outcrop of moderately sized rocks along the laid out road. "I wonder what type of person we'll run into first," Syndra thought aloud with no intention of hiding it. Her eyes peered back at her pokemon who paused and looked back curiously at this. He provided no response as Syndra expected from the pokemon and smiled as she continued to think aloud. "We can't be the only ones starting our journey today, right buddy?"

Journeys.
They... they make her sad. She usually wasn't a pessimistic person. Even one forethought on the past was usually lost upon her. So therefore she decided to not take them and replace their name: road trips. Much better -- less heartache.
Besides the constant barking of Hermes distracted her from her own thoughts. The Lillipup was always on the move to get into trouble. It had been six years so she was used to it. This Route was so familiar she could remember each step she had taken years before. Left foot right foot, left foot right foot...
Yap yap yap! The squeaky barks of the puppy broke her from her reverie and she looked up, eyebrows knit together. Trouble? No, no. Passing by the odd green haired girl and her Grass-type Pokemon wasn't an option as the old fighting blood inside her was roused.
She stopped in her tracks, Hermes looking up at her expectantly. "Hey, you there!" She gave a friendly wave as she stepped in front of her, arms folded underneath her boobs (and fighting to not get distracted by the amount of cleavage in her Magma uniform). "Are you starting out? Fun." Not really, but Camilia kept her voice bright and peppy.
"Let's battle, yeah? Your Turtwig looks pretty restless... and I haven't had a good one in a while."

[attr=class, lutxt] Right on cue. It figures that someone would appear right in front of her after she broadcast her thoughts aloud. While there was no sense of bewilderment or confusion in her, Syndra acted like it as she stopped a bit away from the other person. "Huh?" her expression shifted to one of brief surprise as her Turtwig walked up beside the green haired girl to look up to her. The first impression upon looking at the one across her path was... questionable to put it best. Being raised in the way she had Syndra was not impressed by the choice of clothing. The color was great but the cut just reeked of try hard and it was hard not to notice. Nevertheless Syndra's smile wouldn't give her away as she waved back to the newcomer, "Hello there!"
The words that the other woman said was strange to her. Was she wrong in assuming most people on this short route were newbies like her? The obvious answer was obvious it seemed and immediately she was called to battle. Placing a finger to her chin in thought she looked over at her Turtwig. "Hmmm," she hummed whimsically as her glance moved over to the little puppy dog pokemon by the challenger then back to her own. Giving off what seemed to be a shrug of nonchalance to his trainer, he walked a bit forward in front of her in case she accepted. Syndra on the other hand still seemed skeptical. All she wanted to do was enjoy the short walk for now after all. "Do you really think that is a good idea? If you haven't had a good battle in awhile then fighting a trainer fresh from the lab probably won't net you one you know. Though if you insist then I supposed it would be rude not to accept right?" Nodding at this thought, Syndra continued. "Feel free to start it off."

Man, this girl really liked to talk. What Camilia was looking for was a simple yes or no. But eh, beggars can't be choosers. She gave another polite wave, Hermes begun to run around in circles excitedly around her feet, barking excessively. He was a hyperactive pup, and it fit with her like a missing puzzle piece. "Hey, I like to challenge people. Doesn't matter to me where or what you're doing." She gave a careless shrug, nudging Hermes with her boot gently.
The puppy halted in his tracks and hopped over to stand in front of the Turtwig happily, panting and happy. Abruptly she let out a low whistle, "Let's start with something simple." She pauses and puts a finger to her lips, "Hermes, use Thunder Fang!" The puppy's mouth begins sparkling with yellow electricity as he rushes over to meet the Grass-type head on.

[attr=class, lutxt] Yeah, simple. Sure. Because puppies sparking electricity from their fangs is simple. It was fine however as Syndra knew the type advantages from years before when she studied it so knew it shouldn't be that effective against her Turtwig. Still, didn't hurt to be careful as it wasn't exactly expected that the pup could do something like that. "Use Withdraw and follow up with a tackle right after it hits you," Syndra commanded with some hope that her pokemon could follow those directions precisely. The grass type was quick to obey the first command but as it did really have a real shell like Squirtle or something, the action looked more awkward as it sat back on its hind legs and leaned his head into his body like he was about to curl into a ball to roll or something. Admittedly it also looked rather cute to witness as the puppy scored a hit on Turtwig. The grass type winced slightly but overcame it as he sprung his energy into forcing himself off his back legs to lunge forward from his curled position for momentum to tackle the close up Lillipup.
