i wake at the first cringe of morning
and my heart's already sinned
Yami honestly wasn’t expecting anything big or life changing to happen today. He was only searching for more pokemon to get a hold of after all and hopefully complete his party. He was drawing closer to Petalburg and he’d need to strengthen his team in order to get that badge from the gym leader…of course the news of a Festival of some sort going on in the city was also drawing him there. He looked thoughtfully over his shoulder at the case that held his acoustic and let a small smile grace his lips. His talent had come from his mother, the soft spoken woman loving to play for her family and Yami had only been too happy to learn in her footsteps. She’d been only too happy at how well he took to it and how fast he learned everything and his father had praised him. He hummed a little tune softly as he walked with that same little smile playing along his lips, waiting to see if there would be anymore pokemon to catch today.
He’d learned rather quickly sometimes you got lucky, other times you didn’t and he rolled with the punches. His eyes going to his pokeball and letting a slight smile grace his lips as he thought of his starter pokemon. He’d certainly gotten lucky in that respect now that he thought about it and he imagined his father would probably find the feline-like pokemon rather humorous. His own sarcastic humor being inherited from the man himself so he found any sass rather humorous within reason. Of course sometimes the pokemon was a bit exasperating in how possessive it was over him and he wondered if all his pokemon would be like that. Shaking his head the slightest with an exasperatedly fond look at the ground he decided time would only tell if it was the truth or not. For the time being though, Sei was away in his pokeball as he usually was when Kurayami went out pokemon searching. The psychic pokemon preferring not to actually witness anything unless he as getting to battle the pokemon Yami was capturing.
The brunette was sure it was probably tied into his possessiveness somehow but didn’t bother actually inquiring about it. He had a feeling it would just get him exasperated with the amusing Espurr once more and he had enough to be exasperated over when it came to Sei. Of course, those thoughts kind of went out the window when he was suddenly tripping over something…or rather someone. However, after a few awkward hops and flailing he managed to stay up right. Looking over his shoulder, turning a bit, he glanced at the ground to see who it was.
