Since Joining Aqua, Nia had thought it would be as easy and as challenging as back in her rocket days... but it seemed she had another thing coming. Here she was, being sent out like a normal trainer, told to pretty much keep an eye out and tell them when anything seemed different or ary.
That's right, she was a scout. A. Scout.
Even in her beginning days back in Rocket she had more important duties other than a scout! But, who was she to complain? With Miasma at her side, she could have fun as a scout. Even if it hurt her pride just a little to have such a job.
Ignoring that, she walked her way down route 101, moving through bushes and the like to find herself the pathway. With a sigh, she made her way onto the path and started down it.
It was now Syndra's return trip to Petalburg now. After going back and taking in all the rural sights that Littleroot had to offer, and of course giving her greetings to Professor Birch at the lab, she was off back on the dusty trail leading to Oldale. There she'd likely stock up on necessary supplies like pokeballs and pokemon food before heading back to the Petalburg festival. With the festivities everything was so crowded and the waits were rather long so Oldale would be good for evading that.
As she walked down the road, she spotted the long cascade of blonde hair come into view. The sight made Syndra blink as blonde hair wasn't exactly common to her. Usually it meant foreigners, not that she could really talk about such things. Now being who she was, Syndra decided to jog up next to the person with a smile. "Hi there. New trainer or restarting?"
The azurill bounced merrily down the path on the ball of her rubbery tail, feeling rather mischievous. There were humans up ahead; maybe they were trainers with pokémon? Maybe they had time to play?
"Azu~ Azu~" She sang, bouncing along the path until she caught up to the pair of young girls and began to follow them. "Azu~" She called again, trying to catch their attention.
They had very long hair, so she could see. Determined to be noticed, the azurill bounced a little higher and clasped onto the blonde's locks with her mouth, hanging there and giving muffled calls of her name.

Nia arched one of her blonde eyebrows at the girl who approached her. Perhaps a local? She tilted her head to the side when the question was asked and a polite smile made it's way across Nia's features. "I'm restarting, in a sense. I'm from Johto." She admitted, moving a slight bit so she could see the girl a bit better.
Unfortunately she couldn't see that Azurill very well. With turning her back, all she could do is hear... bouncing? With the sound of bouncing she thought to turn. But wouldn't it be rude to-- were those Pokemon noi---
Suddenly her hair was being pulled, harder than she'd like. A grunt escaped her and a small yelp of pain. It caught her off guard. A bit like a sucker punch. A protective instinct within her first pokeball seemed to be triggered, for out came Miasma from his pokeball. Quickly it was covered in a purple hue and then suddenly it was tackling the Azurill to remove it from her trainer's hair. Another tug happened when the tackle was given, only because the Azurill might not have let go right away or at all.
Ah restarting. At the least it explained the hair and she seemed nice enough. It seemed a few people were restarting here from Johto, her mind flashing back to Noah and Evan from earlier that week. "That's a long way," Syndra commented. Unlike the other female, the green haired girl noticed the Azumarill bouncing about as she glanced over her shoulder to see it. Before she could give any warning however the blue pokemon had made a leap up and into the flows of golden locks. That took them both for a surprise with Nia having the worst of it since it was her hair being clamped onto. Her first response was to back away and the next one was extend her hands outwards. The blonde acted first and attacked the water type. Syndra couldn't deny that it was not the same decision she would make if in that position but seeing that the pokemon was a cute Azurill beforehand, she had some inklings of pity. As the attacks happened Syndra reached out to hold onto the Azurill so it would cause less damage to the new trainer and so it wouldn't hurt itself if it did choose to let go. "It's an Azurill." She smiled, "Must like you're hair"
Turtwig, grass-type (overgrow)
Sandile, ground-type (intimidate)
Sandshrew, ground-type (sand rush)
Doesn't do much. After the attacks from Natalia's pokemon, Syndra reached over and lifts the Azumarill up so there is less strain on her hair.
Ouch! The azurill clung tighter to the blonde's hair in slight panic as the other water type tackled into her. Now she definitely didn't want to let go. If she let go, that scraggly seahorse would certainly get her!
"Azuu!"
With her little feet, she struggled to climb higher on the girl's hair she was swinging from. Somewhat spooked, she used her toes and her small mouth, determined to scramble out of the skrelp's reach. Then she noticed that the other girl - the one with vividly coloured hair that reminded her of grass - was holding her hands out for her. Maybe she'd keep the skrelp away! The azurill blinked widely up at the other person before leaping cleanly into her arms, chirruping and wiggling.
