The belle rose that would make him want to stay forever with. Sadly, there is none worth his time such as that. His fingers glide across the pokéball. It's only been a few hours since he set himself off from the pokémon centre. Simon knew there was nothing to stop him for a while now. Just a leisure stroll around. Simon could have it his own way of course! Go to a bar and find a dashing woman to take back to the room.
Ines, the Mawile was not really in the same tune as Simon, she was a grumpy pokémon. Especially in the morning. Simon was going to change that soon enough. Hopefully for the better. As he continues to walk through the town of Oldale, he slowly began to wonder what he should do next.
After his meeting with Quinn Hanson, he didn't want to see girls like her anymore. A familiar face who's more than willing to scream and shout at him. It gives him a headache. Too bad he would have prefer her. In a different aspect, and if he didn't knew her previously.
Lost in his own head, thoughts whirling; Simon accidentally bump into someone. "Ack, d-- sorry, didn't mean to walk into you, got myself distracted," he laughs. It's fake.
"Oh!" The sound escaped the green haired girl as she felt the push of someone behind her. It didn't hurt or anything but it did catch the female by surprise. Out of instinct she turned to see what had happened, her eyes laying upon the source being a man. The sight wasn't shocking. She knew that a person was likely the case but she just didn't anticipate getting bumped into in a small town. The person said something before giving an apology and Syndra caught the part he did say but said nothing on it. Instead she turned to face the unknown man and gave him a pleasant smile. "Don't worry about it," she replied softly as she rose a hand to show that it wasn't a big deal.
Syndra was just dropping by Oldale to buy some supplies before heading out on the road again. It was easier to buy things in smaller towns rather than larger cities and felt more comfortable to her. Everyone in smaller towns just seemed to be in better spirits so the distracted person made her wonder if everything was alright. Instead of ignoring it she decided to ask, "If you don't mind me asking, is there something wrong?"
He did not mean to bump into the stranger. As a matter of fact, he didn't see the stranger at all. Was she there when he was looking, or decently paying attention to his environment? Perhaps she just appears. Out of the blue and no where. Simon though taken aback by the sudden bump composes himself once more. There's no hint of rage or annoyance on his face, just a mendacious smile awarded by the best of actors. "Ah, it's alright, my fault really, I wasn't paying attention as to where I was going. Apologies really." He laughs a small bit, before resuming his rather peculiar silence.
Ines the mawhile pulls on Simon's sleeves for a moment. Almost to tell him something, but he ignores it as he was inspecting the girl, up and down. The chocolate browns were attracted to this lovely sight before him. "Nothing's particularly wrong, I was just...thinking on what I should do, or rather, what I should have while I'm here in Oldale..." he drifts off a bit before holding out his hand. "I'm Simon, nice to meet you. Can I know the name of ma belle rosa?"
The male kept apologizing and Syndra could only wave it off as much as she could. She didn't mind after the first apology and anything after felt like too much. That said something felt off about this person and she wasn't sure why. The silence between them afterwards was what tipped her warning scales off but the person themselves had not looked sketchy or said anything that would lead her to that line of thought. At the corner of her eye she caught the mawile tugging on the male's sleeve but before she could say anything on it, he had responded to her inquiry. It was a reasonable but was that something someone could get distracted enough not to notice the people around them? A smile played on her lips just as the male's words drifted. Unexpectedly he offered his hand to her as he gave his own name. She assumed that he asked for her own name in response, not used to the foreign manner in which he spoke. "My name is Syndra," she said as she took his hand with her own in a gentle handshake. "Nice to meet you too. As for what to do or have Oldale is a small town. I'm not sure what they offer sorry to say but I wish I could have been of some help."
She was honest, to say the least. Simon couldn't really comprehend on flirting now. unless his primal instincts told otherwise. The gentle handshake was a nice touch to it. Simon offers a smile to her. "Syndra? That sounds like a lovely name, but, this is the first time I'm hearing it," he releases his hand from hers. "And it's not your fault at all, to think a town so close to the beginning would have some marvellous adventure awaiting for us travellers, don't you think?"
Glancing to the side, Simon picked up his mawile who gave him an affectionate kiss on the cheek, snuggling close to him. "Ah, manners, but this is Ines the Mawile, she's sort of acting a bit spoiled at the moment," he chuckles as she then held him close to her. "Are you doing anything at the moment though Syndra?"
He's talkative now, more than ever. He wondered how long it would take for him to insist if the girl was more than willing to have lunch with him sometimes. She looks stunning enough.
The compliment towards her name made the female chuckle. In her opinion her name wasn't uncommon but his words were nice regardless. At least he would likely remember her now? After releasing her hand from his the male continued with his assessment of Oldale to which Syndra found herself shrugging lightly. "Maybe. It just seems like any peaceful small town... though I'm not sure what should have been expected from a place named Oldale." She paused to glance around the familiar scenery then back to Simon. "Petalburg had more adventure from what I could tell but its busier to be sure."
Watching the man carry his mawile she was impressed, recalling the approximate weight of most mawiles from her studies. Still the pokemon was rather cute in her affection towards her trainer which had another smile appear on Syndra's face at the sight. "Nice to meet you Ines," she gave a bit of a wave in addition to the words. Perhaps her initial judgment and thoughts were flawed? At the moment she wasn't sure what to think of this man. He seemed more willing to talk now. "Ah, no nothing in particular. I finished what I needed to do in this town. Why, is there something wrong?"
