The Team Aqua base was a pretty chill place. Iggy had been getting comfortable there for a while, spending most of his time in the training rooms or the pool or finding somewhere to lounge and pass the time. He would probably bore of it eventually and want to seek something with a little more... kick. That kind of thing always happened to him. If something got routine or boring, he would need something to liven things up. The livening wasn't always the safest stuff--hell, it usually wasn't. At present, Iggy was content to do Aqua's bidding and become more familiar with Pokemon, spending his downtime here. [break][break] Doing laps in the pool like every day as part of his workout, Iggy had just gotten out of the water. Walking through the halls, he wasn't dripping, but he certainly wasn't dry. He hadn't bothered to put on clothes, either, leaving him clad only in swim jammers. He planned to relax somewhere in the base, maybe take a couple hits of something. With a towel draped around his neck, Iggy was making a token effort to dry his hair some more as he rounded a corner. Since he wasn't really paying attention, Iggy ran into someone else where the hallway turned, getting a quiet surprised sound from him. The poor kid probably got water all over him from smacking face-first into Iggy's lean frame. Clocking in at around six-foot, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a face full of chest, either. Iggy himself wasn't upset in the least by the collision, and chuckled good-naturedly, "Hey, you alright there?"

Just wet, huh? Iggy supposed that wasn't that bad. He didn't even look remorseful at practically slamming into the guy and getting chlorinated water all down his front. The guy could in theory just take off the clothes--somewhere private, even... Iggy thought the kid was pretty attractive, certainly someone he could have some fun with. He didn't bother hiding the fact that he was undressing the stranger in his mind. Not very polite of him, really. [break][break] Iggy took a step back to give the guy a little space. "Heh, sorry, man." He ran a hand through his wet hair, feigning awkwardness. It was the kind of situation someone would be awkward in, wasn't it? Iggy didn't feel truly awkward, though. Rather, he wanted something more exciting to do. Sliding his hand over his towel to dry it, Iggy held it out to be shaken, "I'm Iggy, by the way." The words were accompanied by a not-at-all-small smile and a wink. He was such a jock with only the next entertaining thing on mind. If he became disinterested here--which seemed to be the direction he was going, fast--he would find something else to occupy his time. It also looked, however, that he might have trouble taking a hint.

Aww, the little guy was nervous. At the very least, Iggy could see the discomfort. Iggy would just have to try harder to make him feel comfortable. Maybe they could even get quite a few steps past comfortable. It didn't strike Iggy that the discomfort could be from a disinterest in what he was suggesting. It was hard for Iggy to keep his gaze at eye level and not wandering the shorter male's body. It would take a bit more for him to get the picture. [break][break] 'Say something?' "Like what?" There were plenty of things Iggy could--and would like to--say. Most of them weren't appropriate for somewhere public like this. Of course, he would be happy to share his thoughts if they could find somewhere more private. Iggy leaned on the wall, trying his best to look both appealing and casual. It made it look like he wasn't rushing to get anywhere when really he would start getting bored after not too much more conversation. A run would probably be nice. Or, he supposed, he should actually go out and get around the region. He was supposed to be going on a gym tour, but had made no progress whatsoever on that front.

There it was. An invitation. The guy was just nervous, that's all. There were a bunch of reasons someone would be nervous in this situation--none of the ones Iggy thought of, however, included the guy being uninterested. He might be a virgin, just nervous around people, hadn't been laid in a while, worried about an encounter with someone new. Plenty of reasons. [break][break] Iggy smirked lasciviously, "Not really. I was hoping you could change that, cutie." Maybe the direct approach would change things. Because apparently Iggy needed to be more direct than being nearly naked and making vague suggestions. Of course, he could always get more direct if he needed to. It just wasn't always fun to play the games, especially since Iggy bored easily. Things like pet names and compliments would make his intentions more obvious, and, hopefully, get a clearer answer from the shorter guy. [break][break] Where was there to even go in the base? Iggy was certain he could find a deserted enough corner. Maybe a closet. Bathrooms were always a fair option. There was an indoor pool, and likely some good spots there. Having spent plenty of time around the base already, there was no doubt Iggy would be able to find somewhere for certain activities within minutes. He was already thinking like he had bagged the guy.

Being new, not only to Aqua but the region, Iggy hadn't had much of a chance to climb the ranks. Had he the time, he wasn't even likely to put in the effort. Being in a place of power wasn't really something Iggy fancied; he would rather stay low-key, keeping to himself and doing his own thing. He didn't need to draw the eye of everyone--superiors and underlings alike--to himself if he were to continue behaving the same way he did now in a higher position. That left him as a grunt to carry out orders given to him and spend the time in between them as he saw fit. [break][break] That time was usually spent somewhere quiet doing things others shouldn't necessarily know about. Sometimes he was alone, sometimes he wasn't. One of the less 'hush-hush' things he did was work out. He had, however, done that today already--but that didn't mean he couldn't spend some time socializing and being a work-out buddy. Still... Iggy had a bag of something waiting for him in a dark and quiet room. He shoved the apprehension away (not without difficulty) and kept his smile up, "Training, huh? Need a spotter? Or if you're talking about Pokemon, a sparring partner?" There was still a suggestive undertone, but for the most part, Iggy was sincere about his suggestions. It appeared he was dense, completely unaware of the discomfort coming from the shorter guy.

Mm. Training with Pokemon was less physical--for the trainers, at least. It meant Iggy wouldn't be able to get very close to his opponent-to-be. Thinking about it, the guy hadn't actually given Iggy his name at any point in this conversation. No matter; Iggy didn't really need names for what he ultimately had in mind. For now, however, Iggy would have to entertain himself with a battle. [break][break] Drawing the corner of his mouth up into a smirk once the broken sentence was finished (and remaining oblivious to what the hesitance meant) Iggy promptly replied, "Cool. How's the pool for a venue?" There were likely plenty of places suitable for Pokemon battles in the base, but the pool gave Iggy and his one Pokemon an advantage. Due to his own laziness, Iggy hadn't set out yet to catch any new Pokemon. His request for a Pokemon from the Team was taking its time to process, too. Bureaucracy. Terrible system, too slow for Iggy's liking. [break][break] Iggy doubted he would be able to win a battle against anyone, really. He hadn't put in the time, and his Pokemon was still weak. What did he expect? The guy probably had done just the opposite, too. Maybe the battle would be over quick and he convince the guy to do something more 'fun'.

This time, Iggy's smile was more sincere. Even though he had just come from the pool, he knew he would enjoy being back there. Water was one thing he never got tired of. Really, if he could just live on the beach and swim at length every day and do a few other less innocent things, Iggy would be happy. That was very feasible, though, and not the easiest thing to achieve. He could dream, though, right? [break][break] When the guy departed, Iggy followed without comment. He was a few paces back, staring just as had been expected. A view of the front had already been gotten, so now Iggy wanted to see the back. His gaze flitted up when the guy spoke, not looking ashamed in the least, "Nah, I'm good." Iggy gave another wink and would go right back to staring when the eye contact broke. [break][break] The pool wasn't very far away, and when they got into the large room, Iggy brushed ahead. He immediately went to the deep end and sat on the edge with his feet in the water. He seemed distracted for a moment, looking at his companion as though he had forgotten why they were here. On the way over, Iggy had just distracted himself with other thoughts, mostly due to an amount of boredom. Once the battle started, Iggy would likely be more alert and focused. Oh, right, battle. Iggy threw a pokeball out over the water, sending out his Staryu, Speed. "Whenever you're ready, kid." The words were shouted across the pool as Iggy leaned back, looking more comfortable and confident than he really should.

Iggy grumbled to himself and stepped out of the water. Really, why couldn't they just go somewhere and have sex? What were they doing in a Pokemon battle? Iggy didn't really want to be serious, and he had been seriously tempted to defy the well-intentioned words (though they were more a threat, Iggy didn't really pick up on that, or at least focus on it) and stay in the water. So what if he got hurt by the battle? Sometimes it was hard to care. [break][break] Iggy glared up at the Aerodactyl. Of course it had to be some giant dinosaur thing. Honestly, this whole thing was ruining any buzz he had. The battle wasn't likely to lighten his mood, either, only make it heavier. Iggy let his competitive side take over, face hardening as he started the battle, "Speed! Use Water Gun! Then use it again! Now!" This was actually the Staryu's first battle. Iggy knew it wasn't the strongest, but he was about to see how much it could do. With any luck it would at least harm the larger Pokemon some, though it would take a miracle to faint it. Iggy stared on, not looking flimsy or flirtatious anymore. It gave him an air of confidence that wasn't really fitting of his weak Pokemon.

The Staryu was smart enough to dodge the attack. Being in water and not a slow Pokemon to begin with (it was named 'Speed' for a reason) getting out of the way of the first attack was no issue. When the second attack came however, Speed wasn't in the right place to dodge again and was caught between the larger Pokemon's electrified teeth. It let out a pained cry and when released would fall limply into the water, defeated. An electric attack. Of course it had to be an electric attack. On a water Pokemon. In water. Iggy and his Staryu hadn't stood a chance from the start. [break][break] Iggy stood there, grinding his teeth. It took him a second to process that Speed would not be getting back up. He returned the Pokemon, still with that rigid posture. He called across the pool Congrats. You won. The words were deadpan and held more than a little spite. Iggy did not like to lose. He had not wanted to battle in the first place, and losing only soured his mood further. Iggy turned away from the pool and made for the exit. He slipped a pill from a bag in his pocket into his mouth. If anything was clear, it was that he wanted nothing more to do with this guy. I guess it had finally clicked that he wasn't interested in what Iggy had been offering.
