up to three people may participate at once. if a person has not posted in three days, they can be skipped and another person may join in. only characters in team magma may participate.
post in this thread to participate in the mission!
defeat and capture pokemon around the forest! @tag
ah, a mission. it looks tough for you. but, no harm no foul for not trying, right? you follow the group; fellow grunts hustle and bustle around you. hanging loosely on your shoulder is your pansear and in your arms you hold your swirlix. jerry and strawberry may look innocent from the outside. cute, adorable; but as a force, they are merciless and would protect you. the master.
despite the weather, you dress a bit on the heavy side. to hide yourself, away from people who might discover who you are. even though majority know one another already. a warm scarf hand made herself, a blouse and a pair of blue jeans to match. slowly, you ease yourself to a stop. a look around. anyone here do you know well enough to stay with? no.
quiet, silent. you stay where you are and hope this would go quickly. recruiting pokémon for the team, it's all for the glory of magma right? a nervous bite of your bottom lip, you shake off the feeling. you need your head up, ahead. straight. this will be over with soon enough. you can only pray that no one would do something foul.
He walked at a brisk pace following after the group, however his pace remained slower than some of the grunts rushing about. Dodging around people and trying not to get lost in the swarm reminded him of high-school, and he rolled his eyes, hands dipping into the pockets of his uniform.
The only thing he bothered wearing was the accustomed hoodie; and said hood was pulled up so that it shrouded most of his facial features. From the guise he went around with outside of magma, the brunette couldn't afford anyone to recognize him. The Sewaddle he caught back on route 103 was perched on his shoulder, watching everything that was going on.
He came across someone in the crowd who looked a bit hesitant, and his walk slowed down enough to keep pace with her. Lightly, he placed a hand on her shoulder that wasn't occupied by Pansear. The young adult gave her a small smile of reassurance before picking up pace again, and his Sewaddle looked back towards her with a twirl, still managing to keep himself attached to his trainer's shoulder. A few grunts in the crowd looked at him oddly, and he only snorted in retaliation to it; otherwise ignoring it completely.
"Time to get you" He poked the sewaddle as he leaned against a nearby tree. "some levels." A smirk came across him, and his eyes quickly went to darting around for pokemon. This was one of those times he had to force himself to repress his emotions, there was no reason for him to be questioning his team's goals when it came down to it. Doing so would leave him hesitant. The most logical reason he could come up with was, well, they needed more Pokemon to hand to new grunts.
Oh hooray for Dylan, he successfully got to partake in the Mission he desired to do, He was hoping it'd be extremely easy since, well you know it was just catching Pokémon. He donned the Magma outfit completely, looking quite snazzy in his mind,. He followed the group of grunts cautiously, "Should be easy as pie." Dylan thought to himself, the only difficult thing here was keeping his name unknown to his fellow grunts. If he were to be discovered that'd be the worst thing, so he decided to keep his glasses off. He must keep his name a secret from William, until he rose in the ranks, which hopefully this would make him do. From now on to his grunts his code name will be a Nickname he had a while back, Dice.
Anyway, Dylan assumed he wouldn't be able to keep any of the Pokémon he was about to capture, so this was all for more levels. "I don't really want to use Slugma in my team. . . Poor guy." He muttered to himself and grabbed onto Gastly's Pokeball. "I love this gal, I think I'll use her for this mission along with Nidoran." He added, still talking no one in particular.
it isn't long before weedle drop from the trees, hanging by the thread if their string shots. they surround the group, sending a flurry of string towards them!

THE TRUTH SHALL SHINE UPON EVERYTHING EVENTUALLY. . .
Dylan wasn't ready for the surprise attack obviously, but when it happened he was ensnared by the string shot. He quickly fell to the ground wrapped up tightly. "Oof." He muttered trying to break free, but he couldn't, it was wrapped to rightly around him. He moved his hand towards one of the Pokéballs on his belt pressing it quickly. He didn't care which Pokémon he was gonna send out as long as it was sent out. "Go! Whichever! Get me out of these damn strings!" He commanded quite angrily and out popped his new team addition, Elekid.
Elekid started swinging it's arms rapidly the moment it popped out of the Pokéball, and practically sawed right through the string releasing Dylan. He quickly got up and turned to the nearest Weedle. "Use Thunder Shock!" He instructed pointing at the pesky Bug and Poison type Pokémon, Elekid stopped spinning it arms and shot the jolt of electricity at the enemy. "Once more!" Dylan ordered and another jolt of electricity was hurled at the target.

I WILL GRAB MY FREEDOM WITH MY OWN HANDS.
When it came to times like these, Sam was glad he had the reflexes he did. His eyes had began to widen when the weedle made their appearance, coming down from the trees in a fashion very akin to a horror movie. Instinctively he had moved so that they wouldn’t land on him; he already had one bug using his clothes as a nest he didn’t need more.
The weedle attacked using string, very much like his Sewaddle did when they first met. One of his teammates became quickly immobilized by their attack, and he brought his arms up in a defensive manner to try and block the stringshot the best he could. In the end, his arms ended up being tied together and he mentally scolded himself for not bringing Wisp out.
“Hey,” The teen called out to the pokemon rested on his shoulder. “Don’t just stand there, tackle them.” Monarch had, during the entire time, been staring at the sight of the Weedle. They reminded him a bit of his brothers and sisters, resulting in him spacing out a bit. After his trainer called out, he shook his head and narrowed his eyes; silently judging the weedle. Shooting string out of his mouth to swing, he went full force to try and hit one of the weedle of their string. It was a game at this point, see who can fall and splatter.
Meanwhile Sam worked on trying to break himself out of the string around his arms, doing it carefully as not to get another layer from the freaking bug types that managed to enstaire him. It was frustrating, not because of how strong the string was, but that they were triggering his pyromania. If he got to another pokeball at this point it better not be litwick’s, because the entire forest would be set alight. Try explaining to the rangers how that forest fire started.
a brother goes down, its string cut by one of the pokemon. another gets electrocuted. they fall from their strings, but they're not out yet. the weedle collectively hiss and from the top oftheir heads, launch a poison sting at the pokemon.
you were insanely out of it as you watch the battle before you. frozen a bit, you let your pansear and your swirlix out for the attack. here it comes, and it should go on forth. silent as you are. you are snapping into attention when the pansear and the swirlix assist. no time for you to go gawking at the people.
a turn of your pokémon's attention. they want to go for the big one. the main monster within the middle. a glow of your eyes. you shake your head. but, what are you to do of this?
swirlix of the two pokémon you have goes for the attack on the weedle. knowing better than anyone else. fairy wind was thrown at the weedle. followed with the pansear's scratch on the weedle.
you only watch from the distance. fighting is not your strongest suit, but, it would have to do.

A breath hitched in Sam's throat as the weedle let loose several flurries of poison stings, one of them flying directly towards the teen himself. He was lucky his Sewaddle was loyal enough to sweep in and take the hit for him, falling back on the web but not completely falling off it.
"Tackle again Monarch." He called out, giving the caterpiller a reason to swing forward to hit the weedle again. He was thankful that he was near some of his teammates, as they were a great help in taking down the swarm. The only thing that concerned him at the moment was what could come after. They were clearly in a nest of weedle, and that usually meant Beedrill were close by.
He still wanted to burn something, but he rebelled against the thought and turned to the nearest sharp branch to cut as much string off his hands and arms as possible, trying to avoid the Weedle because it would just deter him from his goal. Once he was free enough to move, he reached down and tapped on the quickest pokeball he could find, but unfortunately the one he found on his belt was empty.
"Of course." He said coldly, turning back to the battle briefly to see how his Sewaddle was doing. Once he was sure there weren't any Beedrill around yet, he returned to trying to get the string off his arms so that he could stop fumbling around.
Litwick won't come out until Beedrill shows up because super effectiveness would be helpful against it. Plus Ditto would be more helpful cloning Beedrill.

THE TRUTH WILL SHINE UPON EVERYTHING EVENTUALLY...
Since Dylan was free he knew he had to catch something, but he didn't want something really worthless like the Bug Types, but just to make sure they weren't worthless he decided to scan them with his PokéDex. He quickly swiped it out of his pocket, and flipped it open scanning one of the Weedle's. His Pokédex then began to speak to him:
"Weedle has an extremely acute sense of smell. It is capable of distinguishing its favorite kinds of leaves from those it dislikes just by sniffing with its big red proboscis. Often found in forests and grasslands. It has a sharp, toxic barb of around two inches on top of its head."
"Ahh. . . God damn it. Do I catch it or not?" He muttered and then looked towards his Elekid, who was whirling his arms anxiously charging it's electricity. "Go use Thunder Shock again." Dylan said nonchalantly which brought a devious smile to Elekid's face. Something about frying bugs was highly entertaining to the Electric Pokémon.
