what we know is almost nothing at all
Pokénavs... were the best. You could do almost anything with them. So far Kristmar's favourite features had to be the messaging system; it made keeping in touch a breeze and even served as a medium through which to arrange meetings with other trainers.
In this instance, Kristmar had came into contact with a couple of trainers in the area who were currently looking for holders of certain TMs to bolster their team with. It seemed a bit of a drag to go out of his routine (ha, what routine) to meet up with them but, honestly, the budding coordinator didn't mind too much. Money was money in the end and he certainly wasn't opposed to meeting new trainers and, in turn, their pokémon.
Kris lingered by the route leading out of Slateport and was resting against the fence with his pokénav out in his hands. Adelaide sat near his feet, her head tilted far back enough so she could peer out from under her green brim with a wide-eyed look, finding this new place nothing less than fascinating. Kristmar delved one of his hands into the pocket of his jeans, cutting a more casual figure as he slouched slightly, and typed out a message with his other hand to the two trainers he planned to meet.
[attr="class","sv3"] This is a candied world, and it spreads like fire. When it devours me I call the burning 'fun', but I never really was the purist one. Though I try to cleanse my soul with every sun. And I just get deeper in the same shit but doesn't everyone? Close my eyes and play along.
"Yo I think that's the guy." The man says lazily carrying a single bag for Syndra the two having decided to go out an hour two prior to the Gala. After their battle earlier that same day the two met up again at the pokemon center and still with sometime decided to explore Slateport a little. The harbor city was a great place to search wares from all around the world, imports from the outside world, and even some of Hoenn's finest goods often found themselves here either being shipped out or received. As such the shops in the city left little to be desired. He had the idea to search for some TMs but none interesting turned up in the time they were shopping, and so the idea to post a quick ad on the world wide trainer net came to the two. In fifteen minutes or so they got a hit, and not too far away at that. The three made a meet up point, around the latter end of Slateport the seller having three tm's they were both interested in.
Miles watches a man meeting the description relatively well the description being with a Ralts sitting by the gate to the city. Miles honestly is unsure if the person is even a man his hair looking a bit more feminine than a typical male. Figuring standing around did nothing for the two he moved forward looking the supposed seller down, "So you're the guy with the tm's yeah?"
PokeNavs were a remarkable device. After checking out the Slateport market to find any decent goods that were of reasonable price, Syndra couldn't find anything that would assist her pokemon in any way. By her side was the familiar red head who she had managed to run into at the pokemon center. He had suggested shopping before the Gala to which she hesitated on and only agreed due to curiosity about the famous Slateport Market anyway. Not finding anything much of use to her, or at least nothing she could buy, she couldn't do much other than pretend to be shopping and following Miles about.
Miles mentioned something about TMs not being there that he needed and posted something about it. For the most part Syndra tagged along with that only because she figured she would need the same. She had enough money for essentials provided that she stayed at the pokemon center for food for a few days... or so. Sighing the alert someone responded to the bulletin caught her attention and the rates were reasonable. Thus she decided to tag along. Miles was the first to spot the person in question while Syndra was more focused on the pokemon they stated they had. Ralts were cute and she smiled at the sight of it. Waving to the trainer that stood not too far away now she walked up while holding her hands behind her back. "Cute Ralts," she commented once they got into speaking distance. Miles had asked about the TM in a blunt manner and she shook her head to that. "Thanks for responding to the request."

what we know is almost nothing at all
A little while after sending the message, Kristmar spotted two figures heading in his direction. A male with a firey mop of hair and a girl with much more muted celadon green locks. He supposed that these were the trainers that he was waiting for so he pushed off the fence he was leaning on and offered them both a casual wave as they drew nearer with the hand not in his pocket.
"Thanks," he gratefully murmured in reply, a slight smile forming on his lips at the girl's small compliment. It was the male's straightforwardness that actually enticed out a low chuckle though. Direct and to the point, clearly not here to waste time. Kristmar could appreciate that, he supposed, since they were meeting up for solely a simple transaction.
"Yes, yes... I'm the guy with the TMs," Kris drawled in a humoured baritone as he gave his satchel, one that also carried an egg, a gentle pat. His gaze passed over to the girl, who greeted him with substantially more warmth, and he gave a dip of his head. "No problem at all, miss." Definitely no problem at all if he was getting some decent money out of it. It was a fair trade in his eyes. "You're the one with Shadow Ball right for part of the payment?"
Adelaide had gotten up to her feet once she saw the three trainers interact and shuffled up to Kris, watching the two newcomers with wide eyes. She could sense... pleasant vibes coming from the girl and she inched forward a little more, grasping onto her trainer's jeans. Mindlessly, Kris ran his hand over her small head and began to fish around in his satchel for the three TMs.
"I'm Kris, by the way," he said, honestly unable to recall if he'd given his name during their brief chat. He sifted through the three discs and, first, held up the one that contained Earthquake, a formidable ground type attack. "Let's start with this one."
He doesn't care much for pleasantries halfway out of excitement halfway out of impatience. His need to finish a few last minute preparations for the gala lingering in the back of his mind. Thankfully Syndra smooths the deal along Miles ignoring the man's droll tone, He decides not to comment lest he messes up the deal for himself. When Syndra introduces herself the red haired man simply nods. Waiting for the TM holder to get on with his show. The man now known as Kris holds up his first TM, the ground type move earthquake a powerful move to say the least. Where this mystery man managed to snag such a thing Miles doesn't know nor does he really care to ask having been a part of many deals in the past most of which required him to stay silent. Instead of asking as the man pulls the tm Miles pulls a pokeball. "Uh this one is a little big so try not to get...squished. Also she's gentle I promise...." The trainer lobs the pokeball for a massive sea snake, dragon-esque pokemon to appear. Typically Gyrados were known for their aggressive and short tempered behavior, Tiamat though had evolved and was just the opposite despite how scary she appeared to be. The large water type pokemon coiled itself like a snake leaning its head down for her trainer calmly, "Alright listen girl, this shouldn't hurt but this guy's gonna do something good for you, be still aye." Tiamat glances up at the long haired man warily, before giving a small nod. "Good girl.... Don't hurt her." The trainer's eyes are solid as he speaks watching the long haired tm holder waiting for him to do his thing.
"Ah- yes!" Syndra was caught slightly off guard when asked this question but perked up in time to answer. Taking a moment to dig into her bag she produced her own disk like device that contained Shadow Ball to prove that she owned the item. With their brief chat they spoke about teaching the small ralts the ghost type move and so Syndra assumed that the pokemon walking about was the pokemon in question. As names were introduced however her line of thought was cut short as she instinctively responded with her own name. "Nice to meet you. I'm Syndra and this guy here is Miles," she motioned to the red head next to her in case that wasn't obvious. For now the female would let Kris start first as he picked through his own collection.
The first TM was held up by the stranger and Syndra recognized it as Earthquake. It was a strong ground type move and one that set off many bells for her to get. That said half of her pokemon could learn it though only one really required to TM. Taking out the pokemon in that regard, the female lobbed the pokeball to call forth the small chubby Spheal. The Ice type looked rather perplexed at being called out but cooed his name regardless. Petting the plush fur on the blue pokemon she motioned for the Spheal to approach Kristmar. "My Spheal is the one that needs Earthquake. I can teach Shadow Ball whenever your Ralts is ready."

what "we know is almost nothing at all
A gentle... gyarados. That was certainly not something Kristmar saw every day. He was understandably a little skeptical regardless. The massive water type could be gentle with its trainer but strangers approaching them with weird objects could be another matter entirely. He gave himself a moment to look the incredible creature over, slightly wary seeing as this was the first time he'd be within touching distance of one, and fidgeted a little with the technical machine in his hands. At least Syndra's pokémon was a tiny little spheal.
"I won't hurt her," he said with a gentle snort, casting away his cautiousness to exude confidence instead in the eyes of the strangers. And, if anything, his ralts would be able to warn him if anything went wrong. "TMs don't hurt. They might feel a little weird though."
He decided that now was as good a time as any to start and he advanced towards the water beast. Turning the disc over in his hands, he lightly touched the area where he'd press it, feeling the pokémon's sleek fish scales under his fingertips, and placed the technical machine against it. Immediately, the object began to whir and spin, coming to life.
"Adelaide is ready whenever you are... aren't you, Addy?" The small psychic type gave a little nod, peering up at the young lady. She'd already learnt a move through a TM so, knowing what to expect, she was very at ease about this. Plus the girl seemed very nice and inspired a sense of trust in the feeling pokémon.
Once the disc containing earthquake began to click after spinning so fast it were almost a blur, Kris retrieved his hand holding it and nodded at Miles. That was it. The gyarados would, in theory, know the mechanics behind the move Earthquake. The blonde turned to the cuter pudgy ball of blubber and fur and crouched down in front of it, this time with a faint smile rather than cagey expressionlessness.
"Your turn, little guy." He encouraged it, nearing it with the disc after reaching out to pet it. As he'd done with the gyarados already, Kris touched the water type with the item and proceeded.
"What pokémon are you wanting me to teach Fire Blast?"
Watching the other as he used his TMs, Syndra was glad to know that she was using them correctly. Miles' Gyrados was first to learn the move before her Spheal got his turn. The ice type responded well to the stranger's smile and replied with a soft cry of his name. He was used to getting petted and thoroughly enjoyed the touch of others to which showed in his happy and enthused expression. He barely even noticed that the TM got placed on his head but the distinct whirring sound sung to his ears. The concepts of the move were whispered into the ice type's mind. The knowledge of the new move caught the round blue pokemon off guard yet it wasn't a bad thing and he knew it. Chirping his name again as if thanking the other trainer, Syndra smiled to her pokemon.
Now it was time for her to own up to her end of the bargin. Her own TM already in hand the green haired girl mimicked Kristmar's motions. Brushing her fingers over the shadow ball TM she walked over to the Ralts. To her surprise it seemed the psychic type already trusted her to some extent. Kneeling down to get to sort of even ground with Ralts she showed the pokemon the TM. "This is it. Let's not keep your trainer waiting," her tone was gentler than what she would normally use to other people but that was to be expected. Softly placing the disc like device upon the pokemon's head a similar whirring ensued. By then her Spheal had come to join his trainer by her side in time to watch the final moments. The device clicked the same way that the other TM had and once that happened the female swiftly placed the TM back into her bag. "That should do it... try it out to make sure, okay?" Again she offered a brief smile then got back onto her feet.
Next was the Fire Blast TM it seemed and it was the more expensive one being taught out of the three the message had mentioned. Nevertheless it was necessary. Softly lobbing another pokeball into the air, the dazzling lights parted on the ground to show the cute amber fox out into the world. The fire type took no time in immediately running to the new person to get some attention from the stranger. Pawing at the coordinator's ankle and yelping, the female trainer shook her head. "Sorry, she's a bit spoiled..." which was an understatement. Needless to say the fire type was the one that the trainer aimed to teach Fireblast to. Comparatively her pokemon would likely look like babies when next to Miles' larger more intimidating ones.
He watches the man approach his pokemon carefully the sea dragon pokemon looking far more wary than she typically did when the long haired boy placed the circular machine on her. In moments it's over while the boy moves to Syndra's own pokemon he checks on the gyrados making sure she wasn't injured by the process. It felt a little awkward to the pokemon no doubt, but by no means did she feel bad. He wasn't one to trust on sight no Miles much preferred to test any goods he received in deals like this, but using earthquake in a city like this wouldn't be wise. Instead he'd wait for another TM to test out, make sure the long haired boy was legitimate as he claimed. He turns watching the small spherical pokemon react to the move waiting for the man to finish before he pulls out the second TM the duo had commissioned.
The second has an orange tint, while the first had a light brown one, this was most likely to differentiate the type of move the machine contained. It matched up with what the man was saying this one supposedly containing Fire Blast. As such with a quick farewell he called the large snake-like pokemon back to his pokeball this team releasing a pokemon the needed the TM far more than the water type.
With a flick of his wrist he drops the next pokeball this one containing his Larvesta, Sola. The small bug pokemon glances at the faces in particular the green haired girls face before turning away in a manner which lead all there to imply she wasn't pleased with the green haired girl's presence. "You're up TM guy." The red headed trainer nodding him on.

what "we know is almost nothing at all
As Kristmar prepared the next TM, he glanced over his shoulder to check up on how his ralts was faring with the girl. As he partially expected, she was doing fine. Adelaide merely gazed up at the girl, blinking widely, throughout the whole process. Kris felt excitement and curiosity filter through their telepathic link, coming from the small pokémon, as she was fed information regarding the new move. Once it was done, he gave Adelaide a reassuring little nod after Syndra said to test it out. The ralts sat herself down, a small distance away from the small crowd, and began to play around with tendrils of what appeared visible dark energy between her fingers, entranced.
"A vulpix?" Kristmar murmured, placing his hands on his knees and leaning over as the energetic kit bounded about his ankles. These fire types were as rare as they were adorable. "This is a sweet one... she's definitely very friendly." He wiggled his fingers near her slender snout, letting her catch their scent, before gently ruffling the curl on her head. Releasing a sigh as he crouched down again, Kris combed his fingers through her soft fur, giving the kit the attention she apparently needed, while casually pressing the TM against her body. "There's a good, little girl."
For good measure and because it was, y'know, a vulpix, he gave her another scratch behind her small ears before pulling back once he was done. Then he turned to the larvesta, not as cutesy but still not a pokémon to sniff at, and raised an eyebrow at its trainer.
"I think TM guy already told you his name." He said, pursing his lips slightly but going ahead with the teaching regardless. Kris was less keen on the larvesta and wasn't even remotely as affectionate as he had been with the young fox pokémon. He squinted a bit as he looked it over, trying to gauge how well it'd take to his close presence, and slowly brought the disc close enough to touch it with it, "I also have another TM - Ice Beam - that I just got my hands on if either of you are interested," he told them both as he watched the larvesta carefully, the disc making its telltale clicking noise when it finished. "It's four per teaching, like Earthquake and Dazzling Gleam... which I'll teach now. Ready?"
The fox most definitely took pleasure in the attention she received from the unknown male. After taking in the scent of the one that her trainer trusted, she obediently stood there awaiting instruction for the most part. "Thank you but she is a handful I assure you," Syndra added in receiving the compliment. Everything was done to keep the multi-tailed pokemon happy and content as the TM whirred to life, the information flooding the amber pokemon's ears. Syndra herself was honestly impressed with how well the ambiguous male handled the energetic fire type as she had to do nothing to keep Vulpix interested. Once the process had begun the girl turned to the Ralts nearby to make sure the move that she taught was working for the psychic type. Seeing the ralts messing around with the new ghastly energies she wielded Syndra chuckled no longer worried.
Once the TM clicked the first time for Vulpix, there was a new energy and excitement brimming in the fire type's heart. More concerned for her own pokemon Syndra didn't even notice the dirty look she got from the Larvesta. "Alright Vulpix, try it out by shooting Fire Blast into the sky." With a hearty inhale and a few skips away from the others, Vulpix raised her head into the air regally then released her breath in a geyser of red flames. It was a short burst as to not cause any fire hazard though enough to show that new move off. Satisfied with the turn out Syndra barely caught the interaction between Miles and Kristmar to which the female ended up raising a brow to. Was Miles always like this?
The offer of Ice Beam was given as well and for a moment the girl stood there tight lipped on the subject. The move obviously costed more money and she was already using the bulk of her spending on three moves alone. Looking over to her Spheal that still lingered, he gave a cute coo to his trainer which helped solidify the young woman's thoughts. "I'll probably get back to you on that if you don't mind me holding onto your contact information..." she started as she took out the two pokeballs from earlier to recall her two pokemon. For now Dazzling Gleam was the move on her mind and the move that Syndra valued for now. Lightly throwing the last pokeball on her belt the flashing lights parted to reveal the young Abra in Syndra's care.
The yellow psychic type had a drowsy appearance as his senses were ascertaining his current whereabouts. After a quick telepathic link to his trainer the gist of the situation was confirmed in his mind. Giving a consensual nod to the long haired male and the fellow psychic type, he lowered his head complacently. "My Abra here is the last one. Thanks again for doing this Kristmar," she said this with a smile as she felt the need to mend the situation between Miles and Kristmar. After all, they might have need for his assistance in the future as well.
Ugh omg Machine your posts makes me feel so inadequate.
The longer haired trainer repeats the process with the orange TM as Miles once again finds himself stepping out of line in risk of ruining the remainder of his deal. And so when the long haired boy calls him out the red head rolls his eyes Syndra once again taking point and smoothing the minor rift over once again. Miles kneels glancing at Larvesta who was still far too indignant to answer or do much of anything while Syndra was present. The pokemon did have an air of difference though, and with that the hurried trainers call out the final pokemon necessary of his teaching.
"I'll pass on the Ice Beam." The TM giver mentions the ice tm, another person in his travels had one who was kind enough to teach him for free...relatively at least. He had to flirt a little bit to get it, but it was much better than the alternative that being paying hard cash of course. With a flick of the wrist he calls out the final pokemon needing said teaching, the Staryu landing on the ground not nearly as wary, analyzing the situation quickly figuring that it was non hostile. "He's gonna teach you something Staryu, stand down." The trainer prepares the pokemon who honestly didn't feel one way or the other about the event. With his pokemon prepared he nods once again at the Coordinator ready to get this over with.

what we know is almost nothing at all
There'd been no takers on the offer of Ice Beam but he wasn't disappointed; it'd been worth the try though. He flashed Syndra an affable smile while she sorted out her pokémon, taking the chance to also check up on how his snivy egg was doing. The pale green egg, nestled warmly and snugly in its fleecy blanket, was doing fine though.
"I don't mind, feel free to get in touch for anything at all," he hummed to the girl as he folded the blanket back over his egg and retrieved the last TM that was going to be taught. Kris waved off the girl's gratitude with a gentle smile and approached the abra she'd sent out. Compared to her chilly company, she was like friendly ray of sunshine which compensated for him, although Kris was a little lost on what'd earned him such a frosty reception from the guy.
"Please, it's no trouble at all," Kris told her, crouching down near the psychic type after he gave what appeared to be consent. "You're both helping me out as well anyway. Coordinating can get pretty expensive at times."
Adelaide hovered about curiously this time as the abra was taught the fairy move, seeing as it wasn't often she happened across a fellow psychic type. She maintained a respectable distance though, letting the pair get on with their tutoring and wary of breaking someone's concentration. Once Kris was finished, she lingered about for a moment longer, watching the abra with open curiosity, before hurrying after her trainer as he moved over to the next pokémon. Thankfully, this one wasn't a huge lumbering beast or intimidating creature, but a nice little staryu which seemed to mirror its trainer's personality somewhat.
"Right, this'll be thirteen for you," he nodded at the distant redhead after setting the technical machine and then turned to Syndra. "And nine for you. You both still alright with that?"
Overall the coordinator was a nice and friendly guy. His kindness and consideration could be noticed from anyone that witnessed the interaction. The green haired girl considered going to only Kristmar from now on for TM teaching if only to support him, but that was too far into the future to tell. For now all she could commit to was helping him if he ever needed it. After all she was grateful even if she had to pay for these teachings. "Thank you again. If you need anything from me then feel free to contact me as well," she chimed. There wasn't much that a trainer could do to help a coordinator however other than money-wise or protection/battle but the offer was on the table. She pulled out her PokeNav while the coordinator did his thing. The first thing that she did was going into her messages and saving Kristmar's information into her contacts. Next was pulling up her financial account information.
The corners of her lips dipped down when looking at her funds but reverted back upwards quickly. Reestablishing the prices the girl nodded in agreement. "Of course. I'll forward you the money from my PokeNav." Since the contact information was there all Syndra had to do was send the funds to his ID and wait for it to process. Once that was done she placed her PokeNav away to turn to her Abra. The psychic type flicked his tail slowly like a metronome so for a moment the female couldn't tell if her pokemon had changed. It wasn't long that the thought crossed her mind did her Abra telepathically corrected her that he had indeed learned the concepts of the fairy move.
So far Kristmar had proved to be trustworthy and perhaps a good ally to have in the future. With a smile stuck on her lips Syndra returned to Miles' side just in case he said something insulting again so she could stop him before it happened. "I'll root for you in the next contest. It'll be fun to watch."
Uhh Idk if you guys want to end the thread soon or wait a few more posts

The whirring ends once again Miles glancing at his pokenav checking the time, They'd be cutting it close of course, but they'd make it on time. Syndra thanks the man for his time, the least Miles could do is nod, and so he does. "Yeah 'preciate it." the man says aloud while the two continue to converse. The man mentions payment Miles once again flipping out his pokegear, transferring the funds. "Guess we'll have to be, you did the job after all." As he finishes the funds transfer A quick check mark appearing on the screen of his Nav. "It's been done." The red head yawns ready to get a move on now. It's now the he recalls the water type pokemon back to xyr pokeball. Waiting for the girl to say her own goodbyes now.
"Maybe we'll meet again some day TM g-." He stops himself lest the girl now beside him emitting a certain aura leaving the red haired man wary, and wise enough not to push his luck. "...Kris" he finishes halfheartedly. Syndra mentions rooting for him at the next contest something Miles thought would be interesting to watch as well. "Anyways, you ready to go? We're cutting it pretty close now."
