it'd been a day since the attempted magma takeover, and the subsequent capture of rory mclain. it's one of the biggest things cass has done since she took power. safe to say, it's exhilarating. having the authority to cause such anarchy at the touch of her fingers. she always thought that magma should mind their own business; to live on with their ideals subtly, but suddenly everything's changed.
she wants more.
she needs control. the business deal may have not been successful, but that can easily be rectified. she has the culprit, and he can pay for his transgressions through her. who else would ruin her deal other than the aqua leader herself? and it's after she told him that she picks magma instead. it's unfortunate, but cass made this choice. she can't switch her mind, now she's dug herself too deep.
the intercom buzzes on. a gruff voice meets her on the other end of the line -- rory mclain has still not confessed to anything. it's both relieving and frustrating, because he can easily tell them that she's the one who told rory her plans, but he also won't take credit for stealing their documents, or where he hid them.
"bring him in." she says. it's not long before the doors are opened, and the culprit himself is pulled into the room. she looks on stoically, but inside she's restless. rory could probably tell. cass is angry and anxious and saddened, all at the same time. the grunts are in a rush to leave the room, and in minutes they're alone. she goes to stand in front of him. he was once someone she looked at with adoration and love. she still does. but now everything's changed. it's not some petty fight. it's the real gritty reality of two fighting factions.
"evening."
