"Screech, Kasi!"
Having the inside of his mouth pecked away at by the swablu was far from pleasant for the serpent who grew increasingly irate. Another deafening screech tore from the seviper's maw while the squirming bird - now poisoned - remained ensnared in his fangs. Hopefully the horrific soundwaves would be enough to dislodge her and send her careening away so that she'd stop her merciless attack on the insides of his mouth.
"And now swagger again!" Repeating his tactic from before, Kris ordered the serpent to do a repeat of the pretentious display he'd used already on Sylvester's sylveon. Kasimir paraded himself arrogantly about in front of swablu, flattering himself with the way he showed off his powerful yet svelte shape.

The odds certainly didn't look to be in their favor, but when the poison types maw had released his Swablu, a wave of confidence filled over him. While Gunther rolled violently in the air for a bit after bouncing off the ground once, the poison type had begun to flap it's fluffy little wings once more...Sylester and his Swablu weren't out of the fight just yet. "Alright Gunther, just keep hitting him with your peck attack." Truthfully, that was all Sylvester could do in hopes of winning this battle. The Seviper had sustained a fair amount of damage, but it was Swablu who seemed worst off between the two.
"Hit right on top of the head. Knock his lights out." With burning aggression the Swablu flew towards the Seviper, it's final attempt at an all-out assault. If this failed, the battle was likely to be over for them...but at least they tried. It surprised him how far Kris' pokemon had come as a Coordinator. He certainly did have a few tricks up his sleeve.
Natural Cure - Lv.20 - Very Injured (25%) Gunther is weakened by Screech! Gunther is hurt by its poison! Gunther is confused by Swagger! Gunther uses Peck! Gunther used Peck!

Alright, this time around the small screech and swagger tactic Kasimir had used hadn't worked out quite as well as it had when it'd been used on Marley. But that was fine. Kris wasn't worried yet. With their opponent confused, it'd hopefully just make things even easier for his third - and last - pokémon.
Gunther's pecks did exactly what they'd been aiming to do; the swablu's sharp beak drilling against the seviper's skull rattled him about so much that he fell unconscious with a final hiss. Kris called back the serpentine beast with a vague smile, knowing that he'd done plenty already by taking down that sylveon before.
"Terelle, it's up to you to finish this one off," the blonde told the horsea he sent out. The small seahorse pokémon's eyes immediately drifted to the nearby sea and gave a merry wiggle of his dorsal fin before turning his focus back to the battle. "Let the swablu have your aurora beam, Terri!"
Terelle's eyes narrowed as he scoped out his weakened target, building power in his slender snout. Once a few seconds had passed, the horsea released a fine beam of prismatic colours towards the swablu. The myriad of soft pastel colours pulsed and swelled, reminiscent of the aurora borealis itself. It was a lovely move to have in terms of usage in contests but it didn't make the ice-based move any less damaging for a flying foe.

A free lesson? That was something Sylvester liked to hear, reaching into his coat to fish out a specific pokeball. It contained his most recently captured pokemon, and he had one thing in mind that it could learn. "Do you have something for my Scolipede? I hear he can learn earthquake." Fairly accurate knowledge of Sylvester's Scolipede was on his pokedex, so there was a good chance Kris could educate his pokemon with a new move.
"Absolem is his name. Be careful around his uh...stingers." After a brief warning, Sylvester allowed the big pokemon out of the confines of it's pokeball. Stamping around momentarily, the pokemon seemed soothed by the warm sand it had been standing on, and laid down to relax a little. Walking over to the new pokemon, Sylvester remembered how he had evolved just last night. Over the course of a few days, he had fed the pokemon quite a few rare candies. Two evolutions were the result of this diet, and Sylvester couldn't have been any happier.
"Absolem, be good while Kristmar here helps you out. Maybe another one of those candies will be in it for you." The pokemon, which had been fixated on the sand and coast climate it was so accustomed to, finally began to pay attention when Sylvester mentioned a candy. That word was etched within his memory, it seemed. "Good boy."
Looking over towards Kris, Sylvester gestured for him to get closer if he hadn't been already. "Alright, you can do your thing." Standing before the Scolipede, it began to bear down on Sylvester just how big the animal was compared to him now. Perhaps eight feet in length, with stingers that looked longer than his forearms, Scolipede was quite intimidating. Similar to the Seviper of Kristmar's, which also seemed to be of a similar size. Knowing first-hand how well Kris' Seviper did in their battle, Sylvester smiled a little as he thought about the future in store with this great bug type.
Poison Point - Lv.30 - Healthy (100%) Absolem is on standby!

Watching as their flying foe went down, assuring their victory, Kris fist clenched a little tighter by his thigh, a giddy thrill burgeoning in his chest. He bowed his head slightly as his understandable elation showed for a moment on his face as a wide smile flashed across his lips. Honestly, he couldn't have asked for a better battle. Terelle, the horsea, gave a pleased nicker and wandered over to his trainer for a praising rub on his snout.
"Good job, little guy," Kris murmured to him, glancing up as Sylvester gestured towards the stone bench that surprising remained entirely intact after Marley had ploughed into it before. He patted his thigh gently, motioning for Terelle to follow.
Sighing lowly, Kris lowered himself down onto the seat while giving the other male an increasingly humoured look. The glameow he'd been holding, Sören, who'd remained mostly silent until now, gave a surly mrowl and twitched his ribbonlike tail at Sylvester.
"Well, coordinators do enjoy a good battle," he told him with a fondly chiding tone, "you should come watch the next contest and see for yourself." Kris let the quiet pokémon nestle comfortable between his legs and gave the gentle dome of his head a small stroke. "But that was a good one, thanks for that. Marley's magnificent; I'd been looking forward to seeing him in battle."
Hmm... Kris gave a low hum and coaxed his scraggly glameow further into the crook of his elbow, undeterred by how the moody cat continued to make churlish sounding noises. Sören wasn't the friendly type; no doubt sitting in such close proximity with a stranger wasn't to his liking and he was being quite vocal about it.
"Most of them they learned themselves," the blonde told the darker-haired man with honesty, "but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have some help. TMs are handy, little things, heh." How many battles would he have struggled with if it hadn't been for Deimos' formidable earthquake or fire blast? Kris' eyebrows raised for a moment, as if suddenly remembering something, and reached for his satchel. "Actually... this is just a common courtesy, kinda... so there's no hard feelings." Carefully, so not to disturb the egg that was nestled in the satchel too, Kris slid out his four technical machines. "Would you like a teaching while we're here?"
