'Boy of Steel'
Finally, he had arrived within Oldale Town. A hauling trip it had been, he had conquered it without encountering any Pokemon. But did that bring joy to the young coordinator's face? Raizel had entered through the entrance of Oldale Town and took notice of how small it had been. It was knwon for being the second smallest town within the region of Hoenn but did not bring much to the table for it looked to be no different than Littleroot. He would look around to see if there were a restaurant or something anywhere because he hadn't eaten anything since.
Raizel would look inside of his bag to see if his egg had been alright but suddenly felt a small jump, "Huh? Did it just move?" Raizel would remove his backpack soon after to check to see if what he had felt were real. Rubbing the egg a little he would try to soothe it in hopes of obtaining a reaction. Suddenly a flashing burst of light would erupt from his belt buckle where most of his Pokemon had been stored. The Pokemon that had emerged from Raizel's person had been none other than Mercury the Oshawott! Mercury would give a saluting stance in greeting Raizel. Raizel would ask, "Why did you get out of your pokeball?" Softly he would knock on Mercury's head while sticking his tongue out at him, "Idiot."
Standing up he would look around to see if he could find any other residences of the town, but to his dismay he had yet to spot any. Both he, Mercury, and the unborn Pokemon egg would continue their stroll together in search of a Pokemon Center for the time being. Until they had discovered a Pokemon Center they would also look for a restaurant or some place to obtain their food. A sweets shop would have been lovely as of right now.

The town is bare bones, frankly the only redeeming factor is that the bar stays open until two am. It makes him wonder why the people around here stay as they do, bland as the city is, it's a short way from Petalburg and a surf and forest from Slateport, not too much hardship, considering both had amicably more living space and people. He hazards a guess that the people of Oldale are probably those who prefer privacy, though how much privacy can be derived from the town that directly links to the lab is anyone's guess. As it is, Elijah's only chosen to rent the house Oldale temporarily. It's a matter of convenience, and though Oldale might see a peek of tourists from time to time, they tended not to stay long as there was nothing else to do other than rest and make the trek to Petalburg where there was at least a gym to entertain them, no doubt kids would be setting up somewhere along the route or rooming in an inn, depending on their financial standpoint.
He finds himself thinking about that, about going to Petalburg, as he stands by the far end of pokemart, cigarette between his lips. Eventually, he does have to get a move on, follow through his journey and raise a team. It doesn't help him much, other than alleviate the boredom of the situation, his goals in Hoenn muddled and vague, playing with fire in one hand as he watched events go by. Speaking of alleviating boredom, he notices the small commotion in the town. An Oshawott pops up, not too common for Hoenn but then a lot of the starters clearly weren't. It is with the Pokemon's appearance that he takes notice of its trainer, to his surprise he recognizes the man.
A familiar face was a good face, Raziel maybe a special case to that. He picks his way towards the man, who looked a bit lost in his mind, stopping right in front of him and his Oshawott. Elijah grins, cigarette hanging loosely between his lips. "Yeah, I thought that was you." He announces, placing a friendly hand on Raziel's shoulder in greeting.
During his more sporadic visits to Hoenn, where minor business transactions were ongoing and he had to find entertainment on his own, he may have met the man for a while. Enthusiastic as the man was, he also irked Elijah in a strange way, the kind that even Elijah didn't know if he liked being teased by Raziel or not. They might have met up during the nights every now and then, brief pockets of passion before the morning came to chase it away, and perhaps Elijah did find his presence somewhat reassuring.
"What are you doing all the way out here, I thought you were going to be some hot shot coordinator?" He teases, vaguely remembering how the man would mention it. He takes a glance at the Oshawott, not entirely sure how it would do in a contest. Then again, he's never been overly interested in dressing pokemon up, though the appeal portions were always lovely to look at.

'Boy of Steel'
Man whoever said this town was worth walking through obviously freaking lied. Raizel would give a sigh and took out his mp3 player to see what music he felt like listening to. Reaching into his left pocket he would pull it out and scrolled through his playlist. Mercury casually walked ahead of Raizel scouting the area as they continually searched for the Pokemon Center which shouldn't have been any further.
Fixating his slouchy beanie that sat atop of his head. Raizel would fix his clothing for a tad bit which, by the way, he had been sporting the following for today's fashion wear: a grey slouchy beanie atop of his head, a black tank top that says on the front "ROCK" and on the back "STAR", a pair of black slim-fitted jeans, and lastly upon his footwear a pair grey vans. For accessory he had his usual black backpack that he used to carry his egg and other necessities within upon his back as well as a black roller suitcase he dragged around with him for clothing wear. And lastly he donned a belt that had pokeball clippers upon them which were used to easily keep his pokeball within a safe and fashionable place.
Suddenly...he came. An old friend from Raizel's life, an older friend one should put it. The walking cigarette literally had the nerve to come back into his life! Raizel would give a shock gasping as Mercury would look at the stranger with a questionable look. Great, just great. Out of all ol' friends it had to be this guy? This freaking guy...Elijah the heart throb.
"What are you doing here?!" He exclaimed with an unhappy attitude. All of a sudden what Elijah had said just kicked into his mind. Growling for a moment out of anger he would point at the man with an unhappy look, "Screw you, you fuckin' lap dog!" Raizel would blush for a moment as he would turn his face toward the left, "That dream is coming soon, I can feel it! Hah! What about you? Have you become a decent guy instead of a lap dog?" Raizel would step to his face, the two being slightly apart from one another where Elijah was quite taller than Raizel. Compared to Elijah's height Raizel could easily be given a piggy back ride if he wanted, which he wouldn't mind of course.
Mercury would watch the lover's quarrel occur...well..."lover's" quarrel isn't a term one should use. Perhaps..."fake lover's quarrel"? Let's go with fake. Raizel would stomp his left foot out of anger and exclaimed, "Your face just pisses me off just by looking at it." He would give a light sight calming himself down for a bit and would ask, "What are you doing in Oldale Town? Causing trouble as per usual? I don't have to kick your ass do I?" Raizel asked. Seriously, what was this guy doing here? Out of all the places he had to be here? Fucking shit.

Lap dog, it leaves a bad taste in his mouth, but he swallows it down, half-sneer half smile in place. It wasn't... Far from the truth but it didn't do well with his pride. Orders were orders, but he could make them work for him regardless, play it to his fancy. "Hmm, that's what you said last time." He says instead, raising a brow at him. "Nearest contest hall is in Slateport, yet you're here in this town instead." It's all teasing of course, since they got off on insulting each other as much as possible, though Elijah couldn't help but be worried about who Raziel has told about his involvement in Magma. Elijah likes to believe it's a secret, and works hard to keep it so. Why else would he bother wearing the uniform on missions just to hide his identity. Raz is a small glitch in the program.
"And I told you that was none of your business. Unless you're just peeved that I'm not taking orders from you?" He raises a brow, looking down on Raziel's face, face calm and collected, winking in the last moment before laughing. He likes it though, being pushed around a bit, reminded that not everyone would so easily bend over backwards to please him. It's a challenge, exciting for lack of a better term, and Raziel was perfect as one. Possibly the only reason why Elijah hasn't tried to kill him yet.
Elijah puts his arm over Raziel's shoulder, body still trembling from his rumbles of laughter. "I would insult you too, but your face is too nice and I'm no liar." He shrugs, even though that is a blatant lie all on its own. Still, its nice to see how Raziel would act, always so intriguing to watch him fumble around. It wouldn't be so hard for Elijah to admit that he's grown fond of the coordinator, despite his rebelliousness, he has fighting spirit.
"S'not like you could though." He interject with taunting grin. Him? Lose to Raziel? Not without a proper fight. "I can't just be here for no reason? I mean, look at this town, what could I possibly do to it that could make this place any shittier?"

'Boy of Steel'
Slateport? He had heard about a Beach Event soon to be occurring within Petalburg around Route 104 and a numerical amount of beach battles. He didn't think about where his first contest within Hoenn would occur. This had been his chance! Mercury would continue to watch as the two talked amongst each other while looking at Rai's Pokemon egg that had resided within his backpack, it would shake once again.
Returning to the two "love" birds. Raizel would angrily give a scoff as he attempted to brush off the flattery that could be seen within his rosy cheeks. He would look at Elijah the next as he wrapped his arms around Rai's shoulders. Rai would think for a moment about how Elijah would use his charm to infatuate Raizel whenever he had the chance to get close. Raizel couldn't allow him to do it this time and had to quickly take contorl of the conversation.
"Well I'm going to guess and say you were just 'out' strolling about, right?" He said with a sly grin, "And for your information, there's going to be something big going on within Petalburg on Route 104. I was heading their first before Slateport anyway!" Raizel explained. With a smug he would than taunt Elijah the next, "Also, you walking tobacco, I was hoping to see you there actually. Gonna show you the progress of my training with the help of my coordinating moves!" He said with a confident smile. Elijah was someone he had always wanted to battle for fun, I mean he was a memeber of an infamous group of crooks which means they noticed him for some talent, right? Right.
"Of course, I don't want to brag too much." Raizel would then turn his neck to face the blonde haired smoker, eye-to-eye, face-to-face, and mouth-to-mouth. Looking at Elijah for the moment within his soft, pink lips, Raizel had to bite his for the moment as he would release a small gulping like noise. It couldn't be that his feelings were being fiddled with right at this second? He couldn't allow such a thing to happen right away, could he...? No, he couldn't! He wouldn't! Shoving Elijah away from him for the moment they would now be parted at least three feet from one another. He had begun to pant heavily for only a slight moment as he held the left palm of his over his right pectoral. He felt a slight sense of...desire to kiss the man, but wouldn't allow himself.

"What a coincidence. I've just been to Petalburg city myself." He says with a raised brow, daring Raizel to say anything otherwise. "Terribly overpopulated, which is why I chose to stay here until the celebrations officially start." He gestures vaguely towards Petalburg, a trail of smoke following his cigarette before he bring the stick close to his mouth again to take a long suck. After all, why should he bother bumping shoulders with every trainer that was drawn to the festival, it was best to keep to himself until thing were underway and the chaos of a dozen children competing would ensue.
Oh joy.
He raises a brow, quick with a retort. "You'd want me to watch you perform, Raizel?" He purrs, the hand on Raziel's bare skin where it lay. Elijah's eyes flash as they're suddenly closer than they were, though no movement has been made between them. He enjoys looking in Raziel's eyes, a terrifying blue, almost electrifying in their coolness. Expressive, dangerously so. He also does like to younger man blush, he expects Raziel would deny it so Elijah savors it whenever he can, the faint blush on tanned skin simply delicious to behold. He catches the movement in the coordinator's eyes, curious to see where he would take it. Of course, he must reek of smoke and nicotine, the cigarette hung loosely between his lips as they stay still for a moment. He's not entirely sure if Raziel's noticed that he'd been staring, but he must have as the younger man shoves him back.
Elijah chuckles, placing a hand on his hips and huffs out another cloud of smoke, cigarette half-diminished in the movement. The missing heat between their bodies is sorely missed, already he can feel the warmth fading away, like so many nights before. Elijah's wearing nothing peculiar, just a dark brown dry fit shirt and pants, conveniently losing several accessories he would normally sport to go for a more civilian look. No bling bling today but he manages to look overbearing all the same.
"Something wrong Raziel? Is the sun getting to your head?" He taunts, grin still in place. "Have you considered where you're going to stay? The pokemon center over at Petalburg would be chock full. You aren't going to sleep on the dirt are you?" There's obvious distaste in the uttered word, even his nose wrinkles a big in disgust.

'Boy of Steel'
Seriously, Elijah was starting to irk Rai's nerve. Well, more or so making his blood boil. As they were conversing the egg within Raizel's bag had begun to shake even more, almost as if it were ready to hatch. Oshawott would tilt his head with a curiosity look upon his face, but being the only one that noticed he would look up at his trainer wondering if he could feel the movement of the egg.
"Okay, I'm fine thank you. It's you that should be worried about your lungs." Crossing his arms he would continue to hold that same look of anger at his "friend". Making a comment about his living arrangements once he reached Petalburg he would respond, "I'll figure something out once I get there. I'm sure Petalburg is big enough to have another Inn of some sort, and if they don't I'll just camp outside of town or something on Route 104, probably catch some Pokem–," suddenly he was interrupted by a tiny hatching noise.
Taking off his bag Oshawott began to jump around with such excitement. As he would open up his bag and removed a light blanket that had been wrapped around the egg's shell, after unwrapping the egg he saw a smell shell crack at the top! It was then he would back away from his bag a few inches. As the egg would crack more and more, finally what had been inside would emerge!
It was a Ralts!
The Ralts would hop his way out of the bag as he stumbled about catching himself on Rai's left leg. Looking down he would pick the Ralts up and said, "Aweeeeee, it's really cute! Haha, awesome, a Ralts is just what I needed on this team to! Your name little guy? It's gonna be Jupiter!" Raizel would turn his direction toward Mercury and said, "Looks like we've got a new family member, aye Mercury?" Putting Ralts down he would reach into his right pocket to only pull out four Rare Candies.
Giving one to both Mercury and Ralts he would allow them to snack upon there candies and saved the other two for a snack later when they begin to travel. Turning back to Elijah he would ask, "So, what's the point of you even being here then Elijah? I was just about to head over to an Inn, but now...I'm kinda stoked to get to Petalburg now, ready to challenge those other Coordinators as we speak!" He would pound his left fist against his palm, but then he would ask something, "But before I go, how's about a battle?" He would ask.

Wasn't the first time someone commented on his smoking habits, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. He shrugs, but keeps the cigarette anyway, ignoring Raziel's glare for the most part. Was he just suppose to give up on the habit because the younger man had told him so? Course not, that was highly against his ethics. Why was he going to make it easy for someone else. It might just be some misplaced concern, here today gone tomorrow.
Raziel's interrupted with the hatchin sound, Elijah also looking in interest. An egg is revealed and lo behold, a little Ralts now clings to his trainer's leg before promptly being scooped up. The blonde has to laugh though, with how Raziel seems to baby the pokemon. Well, it is a baby, as far the situation was concerned. It was just that Raziel seemed so out of character in Elijah's eyes, never would he have thought that the man liked cute little pokemon. Shame he'd already evolved his Togepi, otherwise Raziel could have swooned and fawned over the literal hatchling.
"You going for sailor moon planet names?" He chuckles.
A battle. He wasn't so opposed, it would be a good fight, under better circumstance than most. He would only feel slightly guilty for beating up a hatchling, but he'd get over it eventually. "If you wan to get your ass kicked, or our pokemon's ass kicked, sure." He says with a grin. Picking out two pokeballs, he chooses the pair that seemed most decent. Just crushing Raziel would be no good, he had to put up a good fight or else the coordinator would yell that he was cheating or something. So out comes Silva and Rush.
"And I was gonna offer my place for you to stay, dum dum." He says with a shake of his head. "I got a nice little shack around. It's a cozy place, would be cozier with you around darling."
"W-What?!" A comment on how Rai nicknamed his Pokemon was just like insulting his coordinating moves! It was time to show Elijah what both he and Mecury the Oshawott had been working on! He was definitely gonna be sorry. Rai would reach into his pocket pulling out the second rare candy and would toss it into his Mercury's hands, "Alright Mercury, I'm gonna need you to gather all of your strength, our opponent isn't gonna go easy on us so we don't need to go easy on them!" Mercury would retort with a cheerful raise of his right hand and exclaimed with joy. Mercury finally got to get some action, he hadn't been in a battle since they left Sinnoh to come to Hoenn, it was nice to finally stretch his tail.
"Ralts, you just sit right here and watch." Rai would place Ralts within his backpack beside him and would give him the last rare candy that he had as a snack of some sort, Ralts was going to gain battle experience today. Staring at Elijah he would make a comment on Rai's Pokemon as if they shared everything almost like a couple of some sorts. With a bright red blush crossing his rosy cheeks Rai would stomp his left foot angrily and exclaimed, "Can it Tobacco!" Elijah than spoke of letting Rai stay within a shack he had near Petalburg City, it sort of made caught him off guard for a moment as he thought about it and looked to the side.
"R-Really...?" He said with a questioned tone that held a pint of nervousness within it. Mercury would turn to face his trainer and spewed a rush of water in Rai's face in a attempt to get his trainer to focus. He didn't need him being thrown off his game because of comments made by Elijah, "R-Right, well...I may just think about your offer!" Rai exclaimed. A small smile would slowly sneak it's way onto Rai's face, without noticing he would remove that smile once he had an gave a light cough within his left palm, "R-Right, let's do this then! Send out your best," he said. Obviously he wasn't going to send out Ponyta when going up against a Water Type, so this battle would have to rely on Mercury if they wanted to win, he was the ace of the team.

He can't help but think how cute Raziel was, personally hyping up his pokemon for battle. It showed that the guy actually cared for his pokemon, loved them to bits. It was almost refreshing to see someone of that childish innocence, certainly rare among the moody teens of today's youth. Doesn't prevent him chuckling with affection, though perhaps Raziel could let it slip and not think it was a blow to his pride.
He huffs out a cloud of smoke in indignation and remains quiet regardless. He'd give that to Raziel, after all, he was going to beat him in a battle. He has to be careful. Silva might be freshly rested after a number of battle, which meant that the sword pokemon had some experience behind him but not by much. The Oshawott was scarfing down rare candies too, so that was a thing to consider.
"Sure, go ahead and think about it. Just saying, it's a free place to crash and a warm bed to boot." He says with a devilish smile, chuckling. He's offering for his own benefit of course, Raziel's a good companion, knows how to get down and rough when need be. Adorable as always though the coordinator just has to look away, as if to defy him. He might be day dreaming a little until the Oshawott steps up to fight, which snaps him out of his fantasy.
"Silva, you're up."
The Honedge floats eerily up front, blinking at Mercury stoically as he passes. "Let's go for a standard start Silva." He calls out, and that's all there is to it. Silva glimmers with strange light, edges sharpening in a sword dance, the sword feeling strengthened by the move. For a moment, he stays there, floating as if to catch his breath. Next he was hurtling for the Oshawott, hilt first, and once he's close enough, draws back, and strikes with his sharper edge. What was a sword to do but to follow orders?
