oh, yes. this male was definitely suitable. her eyes glimmered with delight as she continued her approach, raising her upper half in order to better examine the serviper's display. eventually she slid against his side and flickered her tongue - tasting his scent and that of his master's. ekans was intelligent, and quickly realized that this male belonged to another - a human, at least. even now the boy was looking on in a subtle show of bewilderment.
"ekans?"
she gestured toward the human with her tail, wanting to confirm her bold assumption.

The seviper's wide maw twisted into a smug smirk as his display appeared to win the female's favour over, enough for her to sidle right up beside him. Mimicking her, his tongue flickered at the ekans, touching her scales with feather-light brushes as he registered her scent closely. She was even more exquisite up close. Undeterred by the way his trainer was watching the scene unfold with blatant surprise blended with confusion, he hissed quietly at the girl and rubbed his large head over the back of her lithe bodice.
"Uh... me?" Kris muttered, pointing to himself as the ekans did, unsure what she meant for a moment. He squinted slightly. "I'm... Kristmar?"
But - pfff - logically why would she ask for his name? If she was clearly more interested in the seviper by her side? Kris made a gentle 'oh' noise and let his hands slowly drop to his sides.
"He's Kasimir... one of my team's members. You like him, huh?" His eyes drifted to the male serpent and gave a faint yet exasperated smile. His snake... certainly was a snake. "He definitely seems to like you." As if to answer, Kasimir made a soft rasping noise and touched just under her jaw with his curved fangs.
releasing a satisfied hiss, the female was quick to respond to the male's affectionate behavior with her own. she wanted nothing more to relish this moment.
"ekans," she replied, simply.
she did not mind that he was owned. ekans merely wanted to stay here for as long as she possibly could. the human appeared to be well-mannered, notably polite as he introduced himself.
"hisss."
the ekans proceeded to compliment the serviper on how well he had trained his human. pokemon were the ones who managed their humans, after all.

As an avid snake enthusiast that he was, watching the two serpents interact so affectionately really was a treat despite his initial confusion. It'd be a shame to interrupt them. Plus a little socializing with a pokémon that was enthralled rather than wary of seviper's appearance would only do Kasimir some good. Then maybe he'd ask the ekans... if she'd be interested in coming along with them.
"Alright... don't misbehave, you two." He told the young pair with a fond shake of his head as he turned back to his satchel. He'd get Deimos out for company instead. That little dragon, like Kasimir, enjoyed the warm sand of the beach as well.
After digging around in his satchel, he found the pokéball he was after and released the gible onto the beach. The stout creature stood there, completely still, as he registered where they were. Immediately, he pressed his snout against the sand and began rubbing his face into it enthusiastically, charging around in tight circles as he revelled in its warmth.
"Gib!"
· YOYO! · spawn the next for now? :') i want the snakes to stay cute
the honedge had rested within the sun's light, having unsheathed herself to properly enjoy the delicious warmth. her blade was now hot and she felt a pleasurable sensation course throughout the entirety of her steel frame because of it.
"hooneee."
lifting herself up a bit, she began to steadily hover across the sandy terrain. the steel-type eventually encountered the human and pair of pokemon who appeared to be quite close - and an energetic dragon who ran about.

It was Deimos who first noticed the ghostly pokémon that hovered closer to them. He paused in his energetic stomping about in the sand and stood, alert, looking at the honedge. Curious as to what the pint-sized dragon had spotted, Kris followed his line of sight until he, too, saw the honedge. Immediately, the blonde skin began to crawl.
There was always something haunting about honedge. Creepy, sentient steel weapons.
"Careful, Dei," he murmured to the gible who tentatively began to step closer, lured on by his own childlike curiosity and his wariness of this bizarre pokémon. "Don't provoke it."
Deimos shuffled closer, his mouth closed tightly as he sniffed the air instead. He wasn't going to intentionally provoke it... he just wanted a closer look! Its scent was weird, almost as if it didn't have one, but then there was this eerie aura about the creature that Deimos wasn't sure how to react before. Were all ghost pokémon this unnerving? It had to go! It had to go away!
"Gib! Gib!" The dragon began to bark, skittering forwards, backwards, sidewards, trying to intimidate it down unless it wanted a fight. "Gible!"
the honedge appeared to be pleased by the opportunity to grow stronger. bouncing a bit in the air, the steel creature's single eye appeared to convey some semblance of joy. after a moment, gleaming swords surrounded her, circling the honedge and glittering prettily within the light of day. this was followed by another display as she wielded the use of sword dance once more and prepped herself for an attack.
the wild honedge used sword dance! attack has sharply raised! the wild honedge used sword dance! attack has sharply raised!

While the wild honedge didn't immediately strike Kristmar as entirely hostile... he was able to tell instantly that she was preparing herself for a battle by the way the ethereal effects of her attack-boosting moves danced around her. Kris squinted slightly, a little worriedly, and gave his sodden capris one last defiant hitch up. Well. Alright then. If she wanted a battle, he supposed they could oblige her. Deimos could use the small outlet for his boundless energy.
The gible glanced around to his trainer, waiting for an order, on seeing the honedge gain a sharper sheen to her blade, clearly a little dubious. He was met with a reassuring smirk from the willowy blonde.
"Ready for a little battle, Dei?" Kris rubbed his bare arms and took a few steps closer. The two snakes would be fine where they were, he supposed; Kasimir was a little grumpy with him but, in the end, he was well-behaved. "Start with sand attack!"
Deimos sped off boldly towards the honedge and kicked sand over the glittering illusions that hovered around her lithe steel frame, he aimed to cover her in the grit and lower her accuracy. She could boost her attack all she desired, but it'd be mostly for naught if he actual attacks struggled to land.
instead of focusing upon the sands, the honedge continued to dance. while it could not see, it remained focus on sharpening its blade.
"honneee."
after finishing up her performance, she felt prepared for battle. the sentient sword lunged forward, intending to thrust her solid body toward the dragon. this was followed by another physical strike.
"hone!"
the wild honedge used sword dance! attack has sharply raised! the wild honedge used tackle! the wild honedge used tackle!

Fuckkkk... that tackle - with its strength boosted like this - hit his gible with much more force than what Kristmar had been expecting. Deimos made a weak noise as he found himself winded by the powerful tackle, his surprise mirroring his trainer's except that it was painted clearly across his face. The blonde stole a step forward and hurriedly gestured for the gible to put himself out of harm's reach.
"Dodge that!" He firmly told the small dragon. "Don't let it get you a second time!"
Thankfully, Deimos was able to avoid the second tackle that quickly followed up the first and Kris breathed a very small sigh of relief. Good. Those tackles were powerful. He honestly had his doubts whether or not Deimos would be able to take even another of them. With that in mind, Kris felt as though it'd be best to jump immediately to a strong offensive.
"Dragon rage, Dei, and then use fire blast!"
The stockily built dragon fired a swell of mauve flames towards the honedge, aiming to engulf it in the peculiar energy that mimicked fire. The colour of the flickering flames began to transition after a moment, lightening up to a colour more typical of the element it copied. The attack began to burn brighter, hotter, as even more flames were spewed towards his opponent.
satisfied by her single hit, the honedge paused briefly, struggling to process that terrible power that would come from the dragon-type. she wavered after both blows fell, trembling violent as her steel form finally processed the massive blow that had been dealt. moments later she fell with a noise akin to a sharp cry. the pointed tip of her blade dug into the sand, the creature remaining propped up as it fell into a state of unconsciousness.
"hooneeeeeee."
the wild honedge was hit by dragon rage! the wild honedge was hit by fire blast! the wild honedge has fainted! capture?

Huh, that was over pretty quickly. Kris was honestly pleasantly surprised. It took him a moment to realize that the honedge wasn't going to retaliate with an attack and, when he did, he beamed victoriously at Deimos. For such a little guy, he really was able to pack some powerful punches with his current moves.
"Nice, Dei!" Kris grinned at him, watching the gible as he hopped from foot to foot, his arms flailing about at the sides, in nothing less than glee. The blonde delved into his satchel and produced an empty pokéball, tossing it at the fainted honedge. The ghostly steel pokémon was far from his type but it wasn't as if he'd leave it there, vulnerable and forgotten. Who knew. Maybe someone else would have a use for it. Next he grabbed Deimos' pokéball and motioned for him to return. "C'mon, you. It's home time, I think."
Once Deimos was away, Kris turned to the affectionate seviper and ekans who still appeared quite taken in their own little world. Kris vaguely wondered if they'd even budged the slightest when the wild honedge had approached them. Kris held another two capsules in his hands - one belonging to Kasimir and another which was empty - and tentatively began to approach them with a gentle smile.
"We're heading home now," he told the pair of them, his cerise eyes falling to the empty ball before going back to the slightly smaller snake. "Ekans... wanna come with us? That way you can stay with Kasimir and, you can see the form he's in, I'll take good care of you. Snakes are actually my forte." He brought the ball closer to her by stretching out his arm, offering it up to her and trying to transmit his good intentions. Another snake on his team would be perfect and he resisted the urge to nibble the corner of his lip as he awaited her answer.
ekans had observed the battle that had taken place. and was, admittedly, impressed by the quick battle. pressing closer to her male, she released a low hiss in the kept human's direction. the idea of growing that stronger tempted her, and, eventually, she released a noise that offered up her consent.
"ekans..."
she extended herself, pressing her rounded nose against the capsule's triggering mechanism - and allowed herself to be captured.
