While Sylvester is not very prone to making friends, he knows one person simply cannot survive in this world without help. He is cautious around people, and talks very little, though in return is actually listening more often than anything. Sylvester seeks to befriend pokemon trainers who enjoy the creatures as companions more than battle partners. That is not to say he dislikes battling, as it is still a large portion of Sylvester's aspirations to become a renowned pokemon trainer.

Whom Sylvester aspires to meet most of all are experienced pokemon trainers, who can perhaps shed some light on his journey to come, and give him the much-needed advice that a novice trainer like himself needs. He does not wish to learn of how rare or strong their pokemon have become, but instead of the powerful bonds made with their pokemon along the course of their career as a trainer.

HATESHIPS
Sylvester abhors Teams Aqua and Magama. To him, they should be eradicated from existence. The way they steal and treat pokemon is unmistakably immoral, and is a cause, in his opinion, for all trainers to band together to take down the organizations.

The only other thing that Sylvester seems to loathe are trainers who mistreat their pokemon, especially when they lose a battle. For Sylvester, he acknowledges every defeat as a mutual benefit for his pokemon and him to strengthen their bond. He also knows all too well a pokemon battle can be lost merely due to the incompetence of the trainer(s). It is because of this that he strives to work with his pokemon in a productive and accepting environment, rather than casting the blame on them when the trainer is likely the one who forced them to battle for their own benefit.

LOVESHIPS
While it is exceedingly likely Sylvester will not fall in love with anyone, that does not mean he shows no affection, nor desires to love someone. He is, however, very selective about whom he befriends, and getting closer to him proves an even more difficult task due to his reclusive nature. He does not outright approach any love interests, and instead feels they will be made available to him when the time is right. Until then, all of his compassion is given to pokemon, most notably his own pokemon.
