So Briley wasn't gonna lie — she was actually really happy that Cedric got transferred to Hoenn with her. The two were a sort of team, despite being nearly direct opposites — they had worked together since joining the Ranger Academy a few years back.
Briley had been pretty stuck on pestering him since the very beginning. He was younger than her, so he just kind of fell into the perfect position. Not to mention Briley's knack for taking over team operations and boasting about how great she is (though Cedric could be pretty good when he put his heart into it. Which, admittedly, was never), they basically had a sort of annoying-and-annoyed relationship since they were paired together against their will. But in certain situations, they ended up working really well and even bonding. To an extent.
"I can't believe you said that to Finn," Briley said, chuckling despite her incredulous tone. "That's just so mean!"
Yet she found herself laughing a little as she shook her head. Briley didn't want her cousin to feel bad, but she guessed that maybe he needed to be beaten down a little bit before he could rise higher. Kind of like a spring or something. Idly, Briley looked over to her partner and cocked an eyebrow, waiting to see his response.
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I get you're trying to come off as some suave asshole that knows everything ever, but dude," she snickered a little while shooting him a wink, "Lighten up a little! Nobody likes it too rough."
Her face lit up a little at the little innuendo, hoping Cedric would catch it. But just in case she nudged his shoulder a little, shifting her body closer and closer to his until their sides were rubbing together and Cedric was probably pretty close to ramming himself into a tree or something. "Ehh? Ehhhhh? Get it?" She sent him another wink or two. Just so he'd, you know, get it.
