hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Mikhail is a pretty bold individual, often sticking out from a crowd either due to his choice in clothing or his brash attitude. The man's also pretty damn faithful and loyal, doing anything within his power to help out his friends and comrades. Unless of course someone pisses him off.
Hateship wise Mikhail would easily be a person to dislike. Any criminal at all, whether solo, team magma or aqua could have a feud with him simply because he's a ranger. Aside from that he can be pretty bossy at times, as well as he has a tendency to be big-headed from time to time. Bragging about accomplishments of his own, however never making up things to brag about.
For lovey relationships while Mikhail is open to them completely he's not the type to go out and flirt with anything that walks. Sure he might flirt with someone every now and then but it's no where as frequent as others.
Right now he's open to pretty much any Friendships, Hateships and regular ships.
Damion brooks
21 year old, team aqua, male, Heterosexual, single
Damion could be a somewhat easy person to get along with, being a generally amusing and bright individual. Which means for the most part he can hold a conversation decently while keeping it entertaining. Plus he's kinda pretty, that helps things too I think.
Hateships could actually be easier then friendships with this guy. Due to many a reasons, including that he's a team Aqua leader. A notorious flirt. And that he's pretty deceitful and sneaky in general, not being afraid to use someone for a purpose then kick them to the curb.
Relationship wise Damion loves to flirt with any girl that walks by him. Provided that they're not a child or anything.It might be hard to actually keep him tied down to one person, however it isn't impossible at all. Plus he's you know kinda pretty.
Right now he's open to pretty much any Friendships, Hateships and regular ships.
aubrey barton
20 year old, team MAGMA, male, Heterosexual, single
For the most part it shouldn't be that difficult for someone to get along with Aubrey. As long as they're able to get past how arrogant and cynical he is. Besides that he tends to be pretty calm in general, not getting too excited or too made easy. Pretty chill dude basically.
Hateships would probably be easier to come by. Due to him being Cynical, Deceitful and Arrogant. He likes to brag, a lot, as well as lie to people. Meaning from time to time he might end up making up stories and accomplishments to brag about. Aside from that he's also a Team Magma member so that opens up stuff too.
Relationship wise Aubrey isn't much of a flirt. Sure he might every now and then but it rarely happens, he'd rather have someone come to him and give him the attention instead of giving it to someone else. Right now he's open to pretty much any Friendships, Hateships and regular ships.
Nikolas "Fletch" Weaver
21 year old, trainer, male, heterosexual, single?
Nik for the most part is easy to get along with and a friendly person. He actually hates to be completely alone and while pokemon can usually help that problem he'd still prefer some human company every now and then.
Thanks to the way he grew up Nik has a hatred for Team Aqua and Team Magma in general. Which could help with hate ships. While he does hate both teams under the right circumstances he could be able to see past that if a friend of his was involved with either team.
Loveship wise Nik has a tendency to flirt. Which is only backed up by the fact that he tends not to be shy at all around anyone, so theres nothing holding him back from flirting with a woman who catches his eye.
Right now Fletch is open for any Friendships, Hateships and regular Ships

I think these two have the capacity to be work friends more or less. Ven always calls people out and enjoys backhanded compliments. He'd have fun teasing and pokemon at Mikhail I can even see the two partnering up time to time for missions among other things. Definitely someone Ven would disagree with constantly, but still somewhat amicable towards. Thoughts friend?
Sam Holiday finny was one of the original members, but he was behind sam and company by two years. he wouldn't have been able to answer the call until much more recently, where he's finally out of school. finny always had trouble with concentrating and talking too much, so the hoc would have been a sanctuary for him that helped him get through high school. there's a fair bit of dynamic that can be played on if you're interested??
if sophia's an aspiring fashion designer, she's heard of BENJI FAIRFAX before y/y? she doesn't have to, lmao, but i would love for more people to come pester him and stuff. ZELDA MELCHIOR can also teach that chikorita of yours toxic if you're interested... winks

NIKOLAS & FREYJA
Freyja's a dude a heart, and doesn't really mingle well in the society of female rangers. Niko and her would hit off easily, but he'd have to deal with her lack luster enthusiasm for getting things done. They could chill any time, drink any time, be friends with benefits, anything. Freyja's just as unabashed as he is, although she doesn't like flirting (never been good at it).

Leah's something of a recent breakthrough in fashion, mildly known but definitely a figure somewhere there. Plot in mind being Sophia adores Leah's clothes, and when she meets her in person Leah is mildly amused and agrees to go shopping around with her for a day or whatever Sophia wants, but in the process Sophiaq kind of realizes Leah's a bitch. If she confronts her or calls her out, or anything, Leah would be more than happy to respond. Things could escalate, and Leah might even get aggravated if Sophia didn't react. Or she'd use her. :c I'msorry.

Sam needs like high school revenge on Leah. Expect more teasing from Leah though at how tall he is, and how cute his attempts are. Leah wouldn't take him seriously, but she would be less mean to him than in high school because she's over that stage. No real hate, just a slight dislike. Of course, it really depends on how Sam reacted when she disappeared after Ai, and...we'd probably have to thread them to find out.

Save the poor damsel in distress, and Mikayla would probably look up to tat person forever. Although seconds later she'd hate him for being a flirt and not the true gentleman she had expected, Mikayla might get a little tsundere crush on Niko with her refusing to believe she likes him. And it's all fun and games until it turns out Mikayla's family is indirectly or directly involved in both Aqua and Magma, and Mika's the heiress to that sad fortune.
I can see this working, Mikhail would try to put any issues that might arrive behind him during missions. Which could make him forcibly see Ven as a work friend if necessary. I don't see Mikhail being the type of person to dislike another person, well another ranger just for disagreeing with him a lot. While he is bossy he'd see it more as "eh they'll wise up and come to my side eventually" instead of just disliking them for it. Work friends could work though, the only way it wouldn't would be if Ven actually said the umm giant gorilla comment to him, which would probably end up with Mikhail trying to fight him on the spot for it.
I feel like during the original HoC days the two of them would of gotten along great. While Sam doesn't have a problem with concentrating he does however talk a lot as well, rambling on and on when he can. Plus with Sam currently being the Club's new leader he'd have a reason to keep in contact (either one having a reason to keep in contact with the other honestly). The only thing that might of put a sort of wrench in their relationship would be the time right after Ai "disappeared" where Sam locked himself in his room/house for months. The other members would of known where he was at the time so they didn't think the disappeared as well. But for months he pretty spent in solitude, only interacting with his family in his own house occasionally
This one could work in a way, I don't see Sophia being the type of person to care enough about the actual model's wearing the clothes to learn their names from viewing things. She'd more care about the clothes and the brand name of the clothes on the person then the person's name. However I could see her recognizing him from it but not quite being able to put her finger on where she recognizes Benji from. And just sort of popping into him every now and then trying to remember where she recognizes him from.
Like we talked about a bit in the cbox I can see this one working better with Mikhail then Freyja. Just due to Mikhail being a ranger as well, while Nikolas would try to distance himself from Rangers a bit out of fear of being busted for being a vigilante. But yeeeah I could easily see all those ideas, those ideas being the "chill any time, drink any time, be friends with benefits" part, working with Mika instead. I could even see him eventually giving Freyja a pass on her lack luster enthusiasm and just brushing it off as just Freyja being Freyja while he'd be tempted to yell at anyone else for it.
Thiiis one sounds really cool actually. Sophia can freak out once she realizes exactly /who/ Leah is and flip out over her clothes for a bit. She'd be completely starstruck basically. It would probably lead down more of the Leah using her route since Sophia wouldn't really call her out for being a bitch and would just put up with it. Only really having a problem with it if it caused her to get physical with Sophia herself.
He's so gonna rub kissing Ai in her face, I mean uhh. High School revenge is good, I honestly can't see Sam caring too much that Leah disappeared after Ai or even noticing as mean as that sounds. I think it was for a few months after Ai disappeared and was presumed dead and what not that Sam stayed locked inside his room/house, barely ever leaving it. So he wouldn't of noticed that Leah disappeared as well until he was about to leave for Hoenn most likely.
I can see part of this working, I probably should of clarified in Nikolas' part of the plotter a bit. While he's suited up in his little Vigilante costume he cuts back on the flirting a lot compared to when he's out in his civilian clothes. Which if he saved her from something he'd more then likely be doing it in his costume, if he did have the urge to flirt with her he'd probably just try to "accidentally" bump into her the next day in his normal clothes. Basically only said part of it could work since he wouldn't flirt as Fletch which would cut out the whole "hate him for being a flirt and not the true gentleman she had expected" at first. He'd still flirt with her when not all suited up though. I like this idea though honestly, just thought I should clarify the whole flirting part of it a bit.

I like this! Ven always says what he thinks for the most part if only out of the fact he feels no one can really do anything to stop him, and he was raised into the line of thinking to say what he feels regardless of how others view him. I think a thread where they really just throw hands after Ven makes some kind of smartass comment could really be the foundation of their relationship i.e whether they become enemies, or kind of work off some kind of sassy respect for each other. I don't really know how it'd end up on your end! I do know he wouldn't say the gorilla comment exactly, but he's more than likely to say some other rude backhanded compliment to the man when time arises. Thoughts?
