hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Anyone else who would enjoy Kevin's quiet company and honesty. Kevin admires people who are honest, sincere, hard-working, and noble. Probably will not be friends with anyone who seeks to make chaos or hurt others. Fellow rangers are good candidates for friends, and maybe any trainers who he bumps into on his patrols. He needs role-models, but he would be very uncomfortable having anyone looking up to him.

Kevin is gay, but he's not open about it. He honestly doesn't talk about crushes or love interests at all. When the subject comes up, he goes quiet. Truth is, he's never dated anyone. No first kiss, no lovey-dovey hand holding. Big ol' virgin. He was way too dedicated to following his dream of being a Pokemon Ranger, and his parents were VERY strict. Falling in love is a foreign idea to him. Any other precious cinnamon rolls out there to make a cute couple with Kev?

The only reason Dmitri is so open about his orientation is because he's in a foreign country; the peoples' opinions mean little or nothing to him. I think maybe Dmitri could try to inspire Kevin to be a tad bit more open about his feelings. Would make for a solid friendship.
Dmitri would probably never look up to him, and in fact might even pressure him to become better based on him as an example, shaming him for being shown-up by a younger dude. Not to the point of humiliating or rude, but enough to try and show him the way maybe.
Oh and you'd probably be a better representation of the Rangers than Ven, so far as Dmitri's seen, the dude has a hidden agenda for his own selfish ambitions and abuses his power for his own purpose, behind the facade that it's also justice. You would be a much more amiable Ranger, and that would be good for Dmitri. Might be a little bumpy of a road, but we'll get down it I'm sure! :'D
this is my ranger~ i don't have much with him yet bc he's a brand new charrie. the only plot he really has planned out is acting as a guardian figure for seraphim's Crescentia Emotier, her child ranger with a strong dislike towards adults, but he's going to look after her anyway bc a little girl can't be wandering around all on her own :'D santi is a jaded man, pretty blunt and distant, doesn't beat around the bush, very wary of people, especially new ones, and just is a little gloomy in general. he's warmer towards endearing and innocent things, like pokémon and children, as well as people whose intents are honest and not ulterior.
as coworkers, i think kevin and him would get along pretty well~ perhaps santi could hope to act as a sort of role-model for him? santi's hard-working and a no nonsense ranger, he does his job as well as he can and any slacking off on his watch is an easy cuff around the back of the head. seeing as kev's pretty quiet for a kid and not a trouble-causer, i see santiago taking to him quite well, especially if they were occasional partners every now and then. he's got a fewwww decent years of work experience under his belt as a ranger and wouldn't mind at all sharing it with a promising young lad like kevin~
aaaand... this is my other guy. kris. he's as about as comfortable as kevin is when it comes to discussing... personal matters. love is an awk topic. sexual topics are, like, taboo. he's really prim about these things so... based on that alone, these two should be friends >') just so they... can not talk about things like friends would be expected to do. idk maybe it would be good for the both of them if they both had someone as closed up as they are regarding personal affairs so they can steadily open up a little over time as they develop a friendship. kris is coordinator but he's always on the lookout for battles, so if you're not wanting a close friendship sorta deal, i'm good also with just first name basis acquaintances who meet up every now and then for a quick battle and a polite chit-chat~
-sobs- <33 magi fc's gotta stick together but omgh 8l Ko might fall head over heels for the first time with someone who isn't straight he has a bad habit of falling for his straight blonde friends although currently he's been pinning over his best friend since hs cain novak but yeah i imagine they could be friends at first although 8'D i apologize ahead of time to kevin, ko isn't the calmest or quietest friend someone can have. he has a bad temper and is often known for getting into fist fights with anyone who brings attention to his height or androgynous looks. he's a sweetheart though and hides a lot of his insecurities by brazen flirty comments and playful smiles so i feel like they'd be a bit of opposites but <33 ko would be fascinated by Kevin and want to know more about him. granted if he notices kevin prefers quietness he's likely to be more chill around him then with other people.

Dmitri Khvostov OH MAN, dmitri and kevin would be great bros! i can see dmitri and him going for walks, and having long conversations where dmitri does 90% of the talking and kevin's entire dialogue is "yeah" "uh-huh" "nah" "ok" etc. dmitri would definitely inspire him to be more outgoing and have pride in who he is, and could probably introduce kevin to his other friends. aethra, his cottonee, would probably like dmitri a lot too. uwu
santiago cisneros "senpai pls notice me" but for srs, kevin will develop a crush on santiago. he wants to grow up to be JUST LIKE HIM, DAMMIT. he'll admire santi from a distance and work extra extra hard to impress him. if they got assigned on missions together KEV WOULD LITERALLY SWOON but then he'd be so nervous oh god. he's not very talkative, but if he got alone time with santi he'd want to ask questions about him and get to know him. i can see this being a very close brotherly bond.
kristmar mortensen more bros!~ these two would be the kind who can sit for an hour in silence together and just enjoy each other's company. a few battles here and there, maybe kris playing with aethra (kev's cottonee). aethra is also always looking to make new friends, and sometimes will just run over to a random trainer who catches her eye. that would be an interesting way for them to meet!
Kohaku Lee-Yan ko would really help kevin come out of his shell - kevin's always been uncomfortable with his own sexuality, so seeing kohaku being flirty would shock him a lot. he's not used to that stuff at all. ko flirting with him would turn him into a stuttering, red-faced mess, which would be absolutely hilarious. i can see cuteness ensuing with these two.~ also, kohaku being kevin's first kiss. pls.
yes 8'D Ko is very comfortable with his sexuality to the point where he flirts even with his straight friends, granted that tends to be more playful than anything. and Kevin can definitely bet that he wont be spared the flirtatious comments and clear interest but Ko will find it cute that kevin is so innocent especially since ko is rather well versed in this area. however, he'd probably be sweet on kevin and a little more gentle in his show if interest compared to if he was just flirting to flirt or get what he wanted. omgh if you really want to i'd totally be up for it granted ko has to be given some kind of sign that it'd be okay to do it lol he's not that brave
anyone wanna start some threads with the ranger bby to get some character interactions rolling? uwu oldale, petalburg, route 101, 102, and 103 are the only ones open to the kevinator right now.
