welcome to calamity! we are an au pokemon site based in hoenn. we do not have canons so you can pick them as your fcs! we have a short one hundred word word count. and you get to also pick your own starter! calamity is going to focus on providing users with a good and stable plot line to follow. this helps each character progress and some might even have a play in affecting the plot! we hope you enjoy your time here and if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

benji's actually been ahead of everyone else, seated in the boat at the crack of dawn when briney's up. he's busily gathering peeko's data because peeko is actually the best bird there ever is, sideeying all these people who get on the boat on such late notice. everyone's rushing to get to slateport - syndra mentioned something about a formal there. he supposed it wasn't too bad to go ahead and check it out himself.

what we know is almost nothing at all
It'd only been a little while since he'd last visited old man Briney for a lift on his ship. A vague sensation of nostalgia gripped Kristmar as he ventured closer to the quaint cottage nestled on the very edge of the coast with its own tiny private pier. The last time Kris had seen this man had been when he'd been heading towards Littleroot, ready to commence his new adventure from scratch; now he had a whole party under his belt and some new acquaintances.
"Hey, Briney!" The blonde called into the cottage; its door always as wide open as usual. A little cautiously, wary of not intruding too shamelessly on the generous old man's property, he stepped into the cooler shelter of the house. "You heading off to Slateport any time soon?"
Well this was certainly a new way of getting around for the brunette though he supposes he shouldn’t be too surprised all things considering. It was either the train or this and honestly there was nothing wrong with a little seaward traveling, perhaps he’d even catch sight of a few pokemon? Peeking his head in, he looked around before calling out, “Hello? Mr. Briney? You mind giving me a lift to Slateport?”
However, the only way to get there was to go across the ocean. Thankfully, Mr. Briney, some random ass old man, had a ferry service available. With Scar safely secured in his Pokeball (because Arceus knew that a eight foot tall Gliscor could not fit on a regular-sized boat), Basil approached the elder and dipped his head down in a short, respectful nod. "Can you take me to Slateport City please?"

Julius knocked on the door impateintly, everything in his case ready for a particular job tonight. He was supposed to be at Slateport, and so the logical thing was to get a boat- the routes could be dealt with later, when he had enough time. For now, Hachi tagged along at his heels as he waited on the doorstep of Mr. Briney's house. The man opened up the door and Julius gave him a friendly wave coupled with a signature smile.
A hand went up to fix the hipster beanie of his head. "Yes, a ride please. To the city of fish and trade and ports galore."

Knocking on the door with a heavy fist, the elderly man Sylvester had encountered once before answered the door. "Hey there, Mister Briney." He was a swell guy, glad to help trainers by offering free transportation. 'He must really love being out on the water.' Gesturing towards the direction of his boat, Sylvester made his plea. "I really need a ride do Dewford Town. Could you do me the kindness of taking me there?" With a subtle nod they both took off, Mr. Briney's Wingull flying about as they sailed away from Petalburg and towards Dewford.
"Hello? Any old man home?" Leah frowned at the audacity of this man to delay her, even by a second. When the door was opened, her arms had crossed infront of her chest, and her fiery hair went well to match with her sour mood. "Yes, Slateport. I need you to take me there, you fool. Yes. Slateport. With the ships." She gave an exasperated sigh. "If you're going deaf, you might as well retire..."
