hello calamity! we're nearing the two months mark in a few weeks. how time flies! right now we have two things going on that need your participation. the first is an activity check! it is impotant that you check in so you don't lose your face claim. the second is the otm nomiations! we're doing it a bit different than last time. so please submit your nominations in. a vote thread will be up in the next few days. there will also be a formal event coming very soon, so keep your eye out for that. keep being cool!
we're currently about to host calamity's first contest in slatepor. trainers are flocking to the city to see, the city's been trying to get good pr since the gala, and it seems to be working! they're asking for both coordinators and volunteer judges to sign up.

Omgh yeeess 8'D and it would have made Nikki a lot more hesitant to tell him when he'd leave but i feel like before he would have "went on the mission" and deserted he would have spent quite a bit of time with Eli and just...dropped hints every now and again. Cause 8T "I kind of see you as a friend,but i dont know how to say this without draggin you into this" cause he'd probably know how Elijah would have no intention of leaving so he wouldn't want to force him into a position where he might have to tell Magma their Admin deserted 8'D but hmm we could thread out their meeting and see if they'd still have a good relationship or if Eli would hate him now or something??
Ayo so I see Elijah works with the blackmarket and thought maybe we could work some kind of past relationship off of that. Miles worked as a thief for a number of his teenage years usually selling what he stole off to the black market. Maybe Elijah was his contact for a number of years before Miles dropped off the map. If we go through with it I doubt the two would be on an actual first name basis Miles having given himself some kind of codename. He still has thieving tendencies as certain things become ingrained in you after a while. Elijah could be a reminder of his past that he tries to hide and avoid, but lowkey has this urge to go back to. That is if you're interested.

Miles Serran & Elijah Castaire Oooh. What if like, Miles worked sometimes for Elijah, as a commissioned thief on top of that. Elijah would want certain things, and he'd pay Miles ahead of time to pick up that certain thing and that's more or less their relationship, more of an employer employee kind of deal with the possibility of being backstabbed lol. Code names are a requirement, I think, though they'd know each other through face. When Miles disappeared, Elijah would honestly thought little of it. People disappear all the time in Miles's line of work, he'd only be relieved that Miles vanished while not under his payroll. They're meeting would be a pleasant surprise, but the first thing Elijah would ask is if he's still stealing rather than what happened to him. He might try and give Miles a job, tempt him back into thieving. 8)
I'd tooootally be good with that because Nikkie would just be all "Well-shit this is...a pleasant surprise" no lies this isn't he's worried as hell lulz but yes pls i'd love to see a passive aggressive Eli lulz and yea we're in petalburg right now being slow pokes 8'D any preference to who makes it??
After reading through this plotter and Nik's app I can only see Cissie looking at Eli as a possible foot in the door/ chip to play for her own advantage. Her thought process of Nik's past which she assumes is still valid along the lines of 'Wait, wasn't he in a gang? Maybe he's got connections. . . I could use this.' Gigi! I need to borrow your umm uhh, "homies" for a bit. Can I?
And Eli's just caught in the middle with this cotton candy headed girl seeking him out and he's just, "Noh" puts her on motorcycle or car, takes her back to safe part of town sets down, drives off. But she's possibly persistent or they just keep bumping into one another.

Hyacinth "Cissie" Hastings & Elijah Castaire lol he'd be more like. What is this girl doing here what. Use for what exactly though? Does she want to cause trouble? Get into Magma/Aqua? Does she think that whoever uprooted her family is in Magma, or is she just gonna use him to look for more buddies or follow him around? He wouldn't be opposed to helping her get back at the people who took her home, though there would have to be something in it for him too.

FRIENDSHIP/ACQUAINTANCE: they're both in magma, so, why wouldn't they somehow be acquaintances with one another? i was thinking that elijah and fiona encountered one another in the headquarters? fiona doesn't talk really (at all, she does actions and doesn't even write lol). the way i see it, in some way, she would be a wonderful asset to probably calming him down a lot. invite him to having ice cream with her or something if she's super comfortable with him o/
BODYGUARD/PROTECTOR: in a way? i don't know. fiona sometimes cannot handle situations quite well really. and she's not at all calm when it comes to battles. i somewhat see elijah begrudgingly being her protector and keeping her away from those "dark" people (cough cain novak cough); but later on in the future when he has had enough of it, he'll tell her to "bug off" and protect herself :') lol. idk i suck at plotting gomen xc

It'd be a random meetup maybe they had a specific rendevous in the past and after seeing each other in the street he just dips from the group and heads there immediately, 'like what the fuck' thinking it wasn't by chance. After that it'd kinda take off after realizing it really was kinda fate and the two talk over coffee or something. I don't think Miles would tell him he doesn't do that anymore, but something like he's on hiatus right now. I know however if you made the job appealing enough it would kinda break him a little and going through that would be dope. Thoughts?

fiona devoir & Elijah Castaire so i already told you that Elijah would be her unwilling guardian. just something additional but he would then wonder why the heck would such a girl be in magma. like, this quiet soft-spoken girl, hard to believe that she wants to be evil. he'll actually try to scare her, bring her out to the woods and be like 'kill this skitty' or something like that. test her, if you will. try to bring out her sadistic side if there is one, or scare her off if she doesn't. that's their first thread btw. :') y/n?

ohhhhh, that would really be fun! fiona would be extremely nervous about this really. elijah prodding as to why this quiet girl doing in a team of hooligans with fire. ngl, she looks up to elijah probably and thinks he's one of those pure knights of the round table of king arthur. more like this ("s-so cool"), is the way she'll look at him. scaring her would be fairly easy though :') but since elijah is there, she'll safely assume he's up to pranking her (but she'll feel frightened still 'cause she doesn't know what's going to come up, a weasel maybe? a zubat with horrible make up? o/). for this being their first thread, sure o/ lmao. i love the idea.
Miles Serran & Elijah Castaire 10/10 would recommend lets fucking do it. It works even better if Elijah sought him out, because it kinda like confirms he's capable at what he does so I 100% support this. I think Miles would kind of figure there's a reason behind this, throughout the small talk like, "okay so why are we here, really?" and they would go from there. Does Elijah have a business card cause I feel like intially he wont accept, but text this man at 3:00 in the morning like, whats the job again? but yeah this is perf les' do it

Elijah Castaire Alright. I've an idea brewing. Sorry if this gets super long. The both of them grew up in Goldenrod City, this got me thinking about them possibly having known each other back in the day. Nia was dropped off in Goldenrod City when she was thirteen(Eli was sixteen at this time because three year age difference wut wut). She didn't remember anything from before she was dropped off. Two years later she stole her first meowth from a Rocket Grunt and got big into Team Rocket. She ended up joining them, but I'm thinking she would have been in deals with all the underground stuff. And perhaps that's how these two would have met eventually? She would be about sixteen at this time. So he's eighteen? That's if he hadn't left Johto yet.
Either way maybe they ended up losing contact with each other because of the way Rocket disbanded, and she would have meandered over to the Hoenn region about that time, get a fresh start and etc. Maybe they meet up and it's like, 'OMGHEY' or something. Ideas? O uO

NATALIA HYNES & Elijah Castaire actually i have a mini plot in my brain that elijah was once part of team rocket, though not really a grunt, kind of like a supporting member and when rocket was officially taken down, he and some other members or whatever remnants were left of the organization kept in some kind of contact but ofc its all hush hush and they're trying to reform rocket.
He left Goldenrod pretty recently, oh say, less than a year ago, so that's actually plenty of time to be acquainted within rocket circles. Even after rocket disbanded they could have kept some kind of contact but then she left for Hoenne and its all a little hazy from there. Would Nia actually be interested to be part of rocket 2.0 again to work it out or is she totally fine with being an aqua. magmas are kewler

Elijah Castaire Nia would totes be interested, to be perfectly honest. She pretty much will follow her friends like they were her flesh and blood, because they are all she has. As long as she is able to protect and have her friends around her she'll do pretty much whatever. Haha. She'd super join up, to help them out. She also thinks that to every good there is an evil and she doesn't mind being a weapon of fate to balance it all out and blaaaaaaah blaaaaaaaah.
