Kristmar graciously took his opponent's surprise with a smug smile. Had Niklaus been closer though, he'd probably notice that there was something strained about it, something mildly disappointed. He'd expected his ralts' attack to have hit much harder than it did because all it took was Ventus to shake it off and he leapt back into the battle. But, at the same time, it shouldn't really surprise him; the fairy-type move was very strong and he couldn't expect Adelaide to master it at maximum power so quickly. A little more training was still needed. [break][break] "Well, what did you think we'd been doing while you were nowhere to be found?" Kris said, letting his apparent smugness seep into his words. "Didn't I tell you we'd been practicin'?" [break][break] Adelaide was able to shake off the soundwaves that attempted to confuse her, addling her just enough to leave herself defenseless against the noibat's leeching attack. She squirmed against the creature's fangs sinking into her and her arms beat against his side as she struggled to get free, feeling how he quite literally sucked energy from her. [break][break] "Alright, it's alright," Kris coaxed her once she'd managed to scramble away, looking a little rattled. "Growl at him a little to take the edge off his attack, and then let's try another dazzling gleam." [break][break] He was answered with a slight nod of her head while she caught her breath. Adelaide had a very gentle personality, fighting wasn't her forte, but it was nice to see that she was able to focus and didn't shy away. The small pokémon crept closer to the violet bat, a little hesitant, to give a little growl which was - at best - just verging on adorable. She continued giving little growls, trying to appeal to the noibat's merciful side so that he'd hold back on his offense a little, as she approached him. Once she was close enough though, her body was once again engulfed in a brilliant light, which she released in another damaging wave.

Niklaus could only chuckle at Kristmar’s quip, his eyes mostly on the battle that was going on ahead of them. He eyed how his Noibat was doing now that it had a little energy back but he could tell by the way it huffed tiredly that it hadn’t been enough. Simply enough to stave off any real threat for the time being. “You did tell me but I’m still allowed to be mildly impressed that you taught her that kind of move so soon.” Niklaus was only slightly worried about that move, he just needed to make sure Ventus didn’t get hit with it again or else it would be over for them. Ventus retreated a few steps from where Addie had scurried back and Nik could tell the dual type was having a hard time hurting his friend. His naturally timid nature sometimes fell away when he needed to protect Nik or one of his group siblings but otherwise he’d rather hide in someone’s long hair than battle a friend.
It was why when Adelaide started to growl cutely Ventus let out a little distressed noise, glancing at Nikki imploringly every now and again. The pinkette winced, unable to blame the poor bat-like pokemon when he too hated hurting the little female but it was a battle and it had to be done. However, before either of them could really begin to feel sorry she started a move that Nikkie had been afraid she’d try again and he barked a sharp order at his Noibat, “Ventus, move!” The startled Noibat let out a sharp noise of surprise before taking to the air with clumsy flaps of its wings. He just barely avoided getting hit by the blast but it was enough, he let out a few angry clicks of his name at the female for tricking it and landed only inches away.
“You can’t get hit with that again, Ven. Pay attention.” The bat pokemon let out a sharp cry, his body puffed so its agitation was visible at almost getting hit by that again. “Tackle her, Ven and be more careful. Follow it with another Tackle.” Without needing further encouragement the Noibat lunged forward, using his wings to gather extra momentum so he could slam into her before taking a few steps back and charging forward again, attempting to waste no time in-between the two attacks. Clicking angrily at her as he did so, wings batting at the air in clear annoyance.

Now that they were familiar with Adelaide's new move, they were understandably wary of it. Fairy moves against dragons were pretty hard-punchers so it was naturally within their best interests to avoid getting hit at all costs. But, still, fuck. Addy had been so close! [break][break] Due to her double teams from before, the ralts was much more limber than usual and, thankfully, was able to dart out of the way of one of the noibat's angered tackles but with the second she'd been far too slow. She was tackled down with an agitated cry, the attack only slightly weakened by her growling before. A brief flash of concern passed over Kris' features as his small pokémon wavered a little once she got to her feet, tiring visibly. [break][break] "Just a little more now," he murmured encouragingly to her. "Try getting close enough again to use a gleam, this time use confusion first." [break][break] O-Okay... I'll try but I think Venus is an--"Pay no mind to that right now, Addy. This is a battle. He'll be fine after." Adelaide remained quiet after that but Kris couldn't help but get the sensation that she wasn't too convinced. But that was something trivial right now - whether Ventus was angry with her or not - which would be settled later once everyone was calmer, but this was the heat of their battle and such thoughts only got in the way. [break][break] Regardless though, she pressed on. She focused her psychic abilities on the enraged dragon pokémon, causing some distortion to be observed, as she advanced closer. The damaging waves, that were enough to even disorientate some to confuse them, were more of a veil under which she could sneak her way closer. Her attack was more concentrated on the second part of it. Kristmar wasn't sure how many of those fairy moves she'd have the energy left to use but... just one was all they needed. Only one. Hopefully combining these two attacks would give them more of an advantage this time around.

Ventus was definitely angry, it was visible in the way he let out little soft screeches and flapped his wings harshly against the air. Nikki could sympathize with the poor creature, he was soft hearted and it’d hurt him to be fighting the little female but then to have his feelings used like that. He was only a baby and didn’t understand why it’d been done so it was only natural that it’d upset the poor creature. However, his anger worried Nik because it meant that he could possibly mess up and end up getting himself hurt. “Ventus, come on stay focused. You need to-”
He didn’t get to finish speaking because suddenly they were being attacked and Ventus had no time to really react other than to let out an angry Screech at the attacking female. Hoping it would lessen the blow of the Confusion but it’d still hit him and this time it’d been a direct blow. Ventus staggered for a moment, the attack taking affect and leaving him an unsteady mess as his large ears took in the full blast. Ventus clawed at his ears for a moment, letting out pathetic little noises as it tried to get the world to go right itself again and get rid of the confusion addling him. However, while he was distracted Nik could only watch in horror as the Ralts began another Dazzling Gleam attack.
Cursing violently in his mother tongue Nikki growled out at his pokemon, “Ventus, dodge! Move out of the way!” However, the little bat could only look at him in confusion from where it huddled itself on the ground clawed wings dug into his ears before he realized too late. The attack caught him full on and the pokemon let out a startled but pained cry, sent sliding along the ground to Niklaus’ feet. The pinkette could only look at his pokemon, the tiny bat stayed still for a moment as everything came in and out of focus before attempting to get up. Its limbs too weak and its sight tunneling quickly however caused it to fall back to the ground with a weak almost inaudible click before fainting. Sighing softly, Nikki kneeled beside his Noibat and cradled it in his arms for a moment with a soft smile. “Good job, Ventus. You did great, little guy.” Without a second thought he called the Noibat back to his pokeball and set it on his belt with the rest of them.
Giving his blonde companion a rueful grin he nodded his head in consent, “Alright, you have been practicing. Not bad.” There was nothing strained or upset in his tone. He was able to accept that he’d lost and he was okay with that…it was too bad that Ventus would probably be highly unhappy about this when he was feeling better though.

It wasn't hard to feel a little bat for the poor noibat as he succumbed to both of Adelaide's attacks, although at the same time it was accompanied by a feeling of relief that they both had met their target. In Kris' case, the latter was more prominent though, whereas with the ralts... the former weighed down on her more. She felt bad for attacking her little friend, pushing him to the point where he could no longer even stand on his own two feet. [break][break] "Hey, Addy," Kristmar called out to her, a little softly despite a triumphant smirk wanting itself to be known. "Come back here and rest for a bit, you've done plenty." [break][break] Adelaide watched Niklaus fix the noibat's pokéball to his belt before turning around to traipse back to her trainer, her gait a little too light and weak. She was still only young, serious battles took a lot out of her, as did her dazzling gleam. It was a powerful move that was still a little bit too much for her to handle. Once the psychic type was beside him, Kris lowered himself down to his knees so he could rummage about in his satchel and give her head an encouraging pat of praise. [break][break] Now... who next... [break][break] The blonde waited a couple of moments, waiting to see if Niklaus would go ahead and call out his second battler first. On seeing that he didn't though, he gave a small sigh and lowered his hand to his own belt, touching the third pokéball attached to it as he debated who'd be his next choice while Adelaide rested up. [break][break] "Told you," Kris chimed, a little smug, although this initial win did in no way seal the outcome of the rest of the battle. He'd simply gotten a head start. "Ready for the next?" Between his two fingers, his sentret's pokéball grew to its full size, it fitting snugly in the palm of his hand. He pressed the button on the capsule and released the squirrel-like creature onto the field. Reyner tilted his head, sitting back on his tail, as he sized up his opponent and... he began making chittering noises once he recognized the pink-haired male as the same from the other day. It was the one who made those nice sandwiches he'd so rudely scoffed down. Those delicious sandwiches he still felt no regret in stealing. Reyner was totally ready for round two versus this guy.
Niklaus chuckled lightly, nodding his head in agreement with the blonde saying he’d told him and if he was ready for the next one. However, he didn’t call out another pokemon since he wanted to see who Kris would bring out next after calling Adelaide back to him. He quirked an eyebrow at the younger male when he looked at him because he knew Kris was waiting for him to pull out his next pokemon but he wouldn’t. It was advantageous to allow the other person to call out their pokemon first and in this case rather humorous as he watched the Sentret recognize him. He let out a soft hum as he debated what he was tempted to do before he decided that a little revenge wouldn’t hurt and honestly…Kalos would probably enjoy having another go at the squirrel like pokemon. Grabbing the first pokeball on his belt he sent out Kalos, watching as he was released from the ball and he blinked around a bit.
The Squirtle turned and gave Nikkie a mulish look that completely told the pinkette how unhappy he was to be kept inside his pokeball for so long. However, he simply chuckled and shook his head before gesturing forward. “Pay attention, you’re battling him.” The pokemon gave a sharp petulant chirp of his name before facing forward and freezing upon noticing it was the Sentret he pounded before. He gave Niklaus an uncertain look remembering the last time he’d gotten severely scolded about hurting the poor creature. He gave the squirtle a fond look before he gestured towards the ralts by Kris, “They beat Ventus pretty good…have at them.” At the mention of their little hatchling and seeing the Ralts not looking in top shape Kalos’s eyes narrowed on the Sentret and he nodded his head sharply.
“Alright then…Go for it then. Watergun, Kalos.” Without waiting for another order the tiny turtle puffed up and released a torrent of water at the Sentret. Already knowing what the next order would be the Squirtle put on a burst of speed as he went to Tackle the pokemon after his Watergun just as Nikkie spoke the command for a tackle. They’d been working together so much that while the pokemon had its moment Kalos was rather in sync with what Nikkie wanted and what he’d demand of him. Times like these it came in rather useful.

To be honest, Kristmar questioned his opponent's next choice of pokémon. The way the sentret's tail flexed in irritation on seeing the water turtle be sent out, made it clear to Kris that he had far from forgotten their last encounter, where the squirtle had lost his temper and pummeled the poor thing into forced submission. And all over some stupid sandwiches! He couldn't help being hungry and waiting to eat. It wasn't his fault that passing trainers fed him leftovers and crusts while he'd still been a wild pokémon and he'd gotten a taste for human food. [break][break] The water gun sent the sentret staggering back a few steps as it received the brunt of it square in his chest. The water blurred his vision though, making it difficult to see what was beyond the torrent, but his trainer was more on his toes, his other set of eyes on the field. [break][break] "Reyner, defense curl! Block him!" Kris was quick to blurt out, seeing that the squirtle was advancing much too hastily for his attack to have ended. The normal type did as instructed and hurriedly curled it on himself, heightening his defenses, in time to receive the tackle which - if he were to be truthful - still packed a punch. "Don't let him get too far away, quick attack before he puts in too much distance." [break][break] Reyner uncurled himself enough to dash after the squirtle on all fours, bolting over to him at a surprising speed for such a small creature. Kris kept his eyes moving between the sentret's quick attack and his bag, still rummaging about in it for a potion.

Nikki and Kalos both saw the upcoming quick attack but neither made the decision to dodge it. They had other things in mind as they saw the attacking Sentret charge at them and both waited until it was just close enough before Nikkie called out, “Now, Kalos! Use Ice Beam!” The small turtle braced for the hit it would take, body puffing up as it took a deep breath before letting out a blast of ice just as it was hit, faltering only for a moment before it skidded away. It took a moment for the Squirtle to recover from the blow it’d received, laying on the ground for a moment as it attempted to catch its breath before slowly getting up to its feet once more, staring down the Sentret with a gleam in its eyes.
Niklaus chuckled, seeing the pokemon’s fighting spirit beginning to light up with that hit. It was intrigued by how much less the blows of the pokemon bothered it compared to when they were on route 101. “You’re getting stronger. It’s only natural, Kalos.” The pokemon let out a little chirp before looking at the pinkette expectantly, waiting for his next orders. Rolling his eyes he nodded his head and the Squirtle lunged forward again into a straight run right for the Sentret. Nik waited for the right moment, waited until Kalos was right in reach before he tensed right alongside his pokemon.
“Again Kalos!” Without needing more prompting the squirtle filled its lungs as it ran forward, air in its lungs freezing over as his body puffed up once more. Bracing himself and causing his body to skid backwards a little ways he let out another blast of ice beam, the attack coming out with sharp shards and glittering ice. It was something Niklaus was actually impressed to see considering Kalos usually did it rather sloppily but for once the attack actually seemed…well perfect. Definitely a move that deserved to be used in a contest and the pinkette felt a swell of pride in his little turtle pokemon.

Reyner really was beginning to feel a deep dislike towards ice-type moves. It seemed like any time he was called out all the opposing teams ever did was use a damned ice beam attack. When would he ever be taught a powerful move like that one? He felt as though his skills were lacking considering the only two offensive attacks he could boast of were your usual quick attack and everyday scratch. [break][break] The first beam struck him square in the chest, right in the circular marking on his front which, right now, resembled more of a bullseye target than anything. He was sent flying back but, thankfully, managed to land on his feet so he wasn't sent careening too far from the battle. Ice coated his pelt, countless crystals of varying shapes and sizes clung to the fine hairs that comprised his glossy coat, and it weighed him down considerably. He could hear how his trainer was encouraging him to dodge the next incoming attack but... it was so hard when he felt as though he carried a dead weight on his body. [break][break] Kris breathed a hiss through his teeth, a pained one as he sympathized with his sentret as the poor thing received a second ice attack in quick succession. Was... he even going to be able to stand after that one? [break][break] "Rey?" Kristmar called out loudly to the seemingly immobile pokémon sprawled face down on the ground after the squirtle's attack had waned. He vigously shook the potion spray in his hand as he watched with a concerned gaze how... Reyner slowly began to stir. The weakened sentret had just received the brunt of two ice attacks, Kris was surprised he even had the energy to stand, let alone continue fighting. The normal type snarled at Kalos, letting the clumps of ice clinging to his fur fall away. He was tired of this turtle always pushing him around with his stupid ice beams. [break][break] "Don't push yourself too far, Rey." Kristmar warned gently, covering Adelaide's eyes as he sprayed her with the potion. "Go in for a last quick attack and you can call it a day. You've fought well." He'd fought well but he was still an easy victim for Kalos' incessant barrage of ice beams. The sentret shook his head from side to side, his bushy tail swishing angrily, and growled before he got down on all fours again, wincing, and set off after the squirtle.
Nik admittedly winced a little, far too reminded of the first time Kalos had pounded the poor creature into the ground when both ice beams met their mark one after the other. It probably didn’t help that it probably hurt more since the Squirtle was stronger than when Reyner first went up against him. However, this was a battle and he couldn’t go giving to much sympathy to the other side so he gritted his teeth and bore with it. He’d make something yummy for the pokemon another time in order to win its favor once more considering he was sure by the way its fur seemed to bristle at him and Kalos. This Sentret was rather pissed with them both and it most likely didn’t help that Kalos took that moment to let his more impish side shine through. The small turtle pokemon turned his back to the Sentret and waved his tail at him tauntingly, turning back around and sticking its tongue out just as the Sentret moved in to attack.
The pinkette debated between letting Kalos dodge it and move in with a tackle or allowing the quick attack to hit again in order to get another close range hit in. Kalos glanced at him from the corner of his eyes and let out a soft chirp, nodding his head and bracing himself. Nikki could only grin as his decision was made for him and encouraged so he also braced himself as he threw out an order, “Don’t dodge it, Kalos. We’re going to use the same tactic as before…but this time…try to keep ahold.” The Squirtle chirped his acceptance as he also seemed to grit his teeth, preparing for the pain that would most likely come with this attack. The Sentret moving far faster than Kalos would have expected considering the blows it had taken but he was more than willing to deal with a little pain if it meant ending this quickly.
Only moments before the blow came, the tiny turtle sucked in a sharp breath and Nik called out, “Watergun!” With a quick flash of a sharp smile in the Sentret’s face Squirtle took the blow…and paid it back in kind. Letting out a powerful jet of water directly at the Sentret just as their bodies collided and they both would be in wonder if the pokemon somehow managed to avoid that direct hit. Of course, said Squirtle was sent flying a little ways having taken the full hit once more and this time he let out a soft chirp of pain before slowly getting to its feet. Body sagged slightly but still in relative condition compared to how they hoped the Sentret would be as he stared at where they’d collided.

It was almost not even needed that Kalos finish the sentret off with a final water gun. Reyner was barely conscious after colliding into the turtle and attacking. His energy being so depleted, he didn't even attempt to evade the water-based attack; all he did was make sure to at least stay on his feet until the torrent of water struck him and sent him flying as limply as a ragdoll. It'd be a while until Reyner would ever admit that the squirtle surpassed him in strength and would show weakness. [break][break] Kristmar at least had the heart to call the fainted pokémon back to his pokéball before his unconscious body bounced too much across the ground. He wasn't too disappointed though. Reyner was a recently captured wild that he hadn't had much time to train whereas Kalos was Niklaus' starter; they'd had much more time to bond and train together. [break][break] "Kalos has gotten a little better," Kris chuckled quietly as he plucked a third pokéball from his belt. "Just a little though." Okay, a bit more than just a little but he didn't want to give him too much praise. [break][break] Now, his third pokémon was an easy pick. Adelaide was still resting and Deimos would suffer if he was put up against that ice beam of Kalos'. It only really left Astor, his krabby and other recent capture. Reyner had managed to whittle down the squirtle's health quite a fair bit, with some luck Astor would be able to do a better job being that he had a certain resistance against ice-based attacks. [break][break] "Your turn, Astor. Kalos should be a familiar opponent for you as well." And, boy, was he. [break][break] As soon as the krabby appeared on the field and spotted the squirtle, he began snapping his pincers menacingly. Yeahhhhh, he remembered this guy. He remembered how he'd whooped his shellfish ass. The crab's eyes narrowed and he weaved from side to side, clicking and snipping. [break][break] "Vicegrip him, Astor," Kris told him with a little smirk. "One per pincer." The krabby really didn't need to be told twice either. Once he received the command he raced off towards the other side of their makeshift battlefield, pincers at the ready to grip onto that turtle and squeeze him so hard that he popped clean out of his shell!

Kalos watched as his attack landed cleanly and let out a victorious chirp of his name, flexing little arms happily before rushing over to Niklaus. The pink haired man chuckled in amusement as he caught his excited squirtle, scooping him up and letting a fond smile curl his lips. “You did a great job. You got them good for Ventus.” The small turtle pokemon let out a happy noise settling into Nik’s arms as he dug around in his bag, his attention momentarily stolen by Kristmar’s words. Rolling eyes in amusement, people around them long forgotten in the heat of the moment and the adrenaline of battle, he quipped playfully. “Only a little? I don’t think Reyner would agree exactly.” He let a small smirk curl his lips and Kalos mimicked his trainer’s expression before wrinkling his face up as the potion was administered. He bore it in good faith though and was rewarded when his strength began to return and minor scratches began to heal.
Just in time for Kristmar to call out Astor and the small turtle was already rearing for another battle as he sprung from his human’s arms. Landing on all four he glared at the Krabby, also remembering all the damage he’d done the last time they’d met. Nikki’s teeth gritted as he remembered how much trouble the Krabby had given them the first time around and cautioned Kalos. “Those pincer’s are going to hurt…avoid them as much as you can and if you can immobilize them…do it.” The small turtle let out a chirp of agreement before bracing himself as Kristmar shouted out orders…with that the battle was on and the Krabby was upon them.
Nikki let out a soft curse, his mind working quickly before he growled out orders. “Alright, time to even the playing field. Ice beam, Kalos and aim it at the ground beneath your feet.” Understanding his trainer’s orders the breath in his lungs froze over and erupted from his mouth in a glittering blast at the ground. Turning everything it touched into slippery ice and making the ground harder to stand upon but Niklaus wasn’t done yet even as the Krabby was almost upon them. “Dodge that first vice grip! Then follow it up with another ice beam in close range.” Kalos called out his understanding and shot forward, successfully dodging that first vice grip before getting caught in the second with a sharp cry. However, he bravely bore with it and took in as much breath as he could, relieved that his shell although painful took most of the pressure. Without hesitation he let out the breath in another blast of ice right where he hoped the Krabby’s face would be.

Alright, Kris hadn't been banking on Niklaus to take advantage of the time it took for him to switch pokémon to heal his own but... whatever. He was free to do as he pleased. It just made his job of taking down Niklaus' squirtle, his strongest team member, a little harder. The original plan had been for krabby to whittle down what was left of his health but it seemed as though now that wouldn't be the case. It'd be another battle like Reyner's; weakening Kalos enough for the next pokémon in Kris' line up to take him down. It was bothersome but unavoidable now. [break][break] "Take it easy on that ice, Ast," he warned the water-type. "Don't rush over it or else you'll... ah." The krabby's legs weren't made for the smooth and slippery surface of ice, the hooked ends which served as his feet were best at clambering over rocks, even ones covered with algae, by finding the little ridges and dents and dips in the rock. He had no traction on ice at all. In his haste to reach the squirtle, he forgot this though, and danced awkwardly in a tangle of legs as he struggled over the icy covering. It was hard to dash with six legs over ice! [break][break] "Easy, easy, go a little slower," Kris told Astor once the squirtle's ice beam sent him sliding back. "Go in again with the same. Try to not let it dodge this time." Although that would probably be easier said than done with the ground covered like this. Kris vaguely wondered how many more ice beams Kalos had in him; they were a powerful move and he was still rather young, but, then again, four wasn't really that many. He no doubt had energy for a few more, especially after being administered a potion. The blonde huffed with slight exasperation and shifted his weight to his other foot. He wasn't worried, per se, but now that they were evened in terms of pokémon he couldn't let himself relax. He just had to hope that, this time, his krabby's attacks would both strike true.

Niklaus felt some tension ease when Kalos’ ice beam sent the large crab back a little on the slippery ice. Kalos looked just as relieved to be away from those vicious pincers even if his shell had taken the brunt of the attack it had still hurt the small turtle. Of course as humorous as it was to see the Krabby struggling over the ice it was still rather daunting to see the huge crab making its way with those huge pincers. Kalos even took a step back, slightly daunted by the look of them and the remembered pain but Niklaus offered a word of comfort. “Easy, Kal. Just let him come and tough out those hits.” The tiny turtle gave him a look before bracing himself on the ice and watching the Krabby come closer and closer before starting slightly when Niklaus spoke up again. “Let’s make standing up on this ice just a little harder, Kalos. Watergun!”
With a chirp of agreement the turtle pokemon sucked in a deep breath before letting out a shot of water over the iced ground and consequentially the Krabby. Making it as slippery as possible as he aimed for the Krabby even if it made things a little difficult for him as well as not all the attack was focus on his opponent. Kalos gritted his teeth and took the first Vice grip, bracing himself against the first pincer and taking the second. “Good job, Kalos. Now use Watergun again!” Without waiting the tiny turtle pokemon glared at the over grown crab and let out a blast of water, sending himself sliding away from the power behind it because of the wet and ice ground. The squirtle huffed softly, wincing at the pain taking both of those had brought but in the end it had made the battleground a little harder to work with even if he still had the upper hand.

Kalos really wasn't giving the krabby any breaks with how he simply made the terrain even more slippery now. Astor appeared to realize this too and, once he was able to clamp onto the squirtle with both of his pincers, he fought to hold onto Kalos as the water gun was shot right in his face. His eyes recoiled into his shell and he tightened his grip as much as he could until, eventually, the force of the water pried him off and pushed him back. [break][break] "Break the ice! Break it!" He ordered the krabby as his legs frantically tried to find traction. One of his eyes swivelled around, registering his trainer's command, and realized what he meant. Quickly, before he got too far away, the krabby swung one of his oversized pincers around and brought the curved hook of it down onto the iced ground, cracking it enough to catch his appendage in it and give him some leverage. He ducked down, pressing himself as close as he could to the ground, and shouldered through the remainder of Kalos' attack. [break][break] "And again!" Kris told Astor, knowing his tactic was repetitive and, frankly, boring but it wasn't like he had much of a choice. "Use that hold you've got to push yourself over the ice." And, with a heave, the krabby tugged himself forward, gaining enough momentum to propel himself forward in a path that, more or less, headed straight for the squirtle. He'd gotten the turtle three times now with his glorious pincers - he snapped them with malovent glee - and a couple more times would be perfect. His trainer may be bored with this tactic but Astor was revelling in it.
