ENEMIES 

This silver-tongued, well-educated rogue is Cygnus or, as his close associates like to call him, Cyg. While Cyg may seem rather charming and diplomatic outwardly, his flaws become more readily apparent the more you get acquainted with him. Smugly clever, coquettish, and cruel, he has no qualms about manipulating others socially or emotionally if the situation calls for it. Characters who would be averse to these traits and tendencies may find him grating, obnoxious, or even heartless.

Moreover, he's an active, ambitious Team Aqua member who won't let any obstacles get in the way of him completing missions and receiving rewards and praise. If Cyg were to be characterized by one of the seven deadly sins, it would envy because he harbors much resentment for those who are head of him in anything that can be construed as a competition. He's opportunistic, exploitative, and is usually shrewd enough to concoct a scheme to evade punishment. All things considered, he's a divisive fellow.

FRIENDS 

A proficient conversationalist, Cyg prefers to engage others one-on-one but can play the part of center of attention or perceptive listener just as well. The Team Aqua member abhors criticism and humiliation, so he's a persistent sycophant to authority figures and projects the semblance of confidence and coordination. Characters who agree with his win-or-fail mentality, characters who he can emulate for their resourcefulness and/or criminal expertise, and characters who can serve as his witless pawns make for excellent companions.

Lovers

Love is a controversial topic for Cyg. On one hand, he would appreciate a partner to validate him and his accomplishments, but upon further contemplation, the proposition of commitment is harrowing and impractical. Despite the impression he makes, Cyg doesn't approve of careless one-night stands. On the contrary, he'd rather kindle something more meaningful with another man, even if turns out to be impermanent (as they tend to do.) In the soft dawning of a relationship, he'll act playful and nonchalant, trying to take an easygoing approach to the partnership. However, emotional vulnerability, a key force in close relationships, triggers a red light for him to evacuate the situation because of his unresolved intimacy issues. It's a fight to truly win his whole heart and not an easy or even worthwhile endeavor.
